    Teriyaki chicken without carrots
    Anna P.

I have eaten at Sake Express for over 15 years. It's always a go-to when I'm back in town because it tastes good and is so nostalgic. Now I'm not saying it's authentic but it does hit the spot when you're craving some simple hibachi. I usually just order take out nowadays. You can even order ahead of time and pick it up at the drive-thru window. I order the exact same thing about every single time - teriyaki chicken. I love that the chicken is never dry. I actually hate the glazed carrots that it comes with and I've tried asking them to remove the carrots and substitute with more broccoli. And every time, it's the same amount of broccoli that it already comes with instead of double the amount. Sometimes, I find that the rice is a bit clumpy. Their shrimp sauce is definitely my favorite though. I haven't found a restaurant that makes it better than Sake. The parking lot is pretty tiny and is usually packed so you might have to park at a different parking lot close by.

My wife and I got great service and a lot of fresh and tasty food for the money. Compared to other local hibachi options like Yamato, our experience here was better with more menu choices, bigger portions and higher quality meats. The place was super clean and bright too. We'll definitely go back.

This place is pretty cool! It's a drive though hibachi place! When you walk in they have a hand washing station. I thought that was a really cool element I have never seen right when entering a restaurant. They have all the entrees that a fancy sit down hibachi would have for about half the price, and you get the same amount of food! I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo meal, and it came with rice, broccoli, mushrooms, and sweet carrots. Everything was good except the sweet carrots. Those were a little funky. The meal came with the house sauce, but I had to pay for the ginger. It was worth it, and you get a large amount. Overall delicious, quick, and reasonably priced for what you get.

Line is always long, extremely high wait times, drive-thru only available, I asked for extra broccoli and as you can see on the picture I only received 4 pieces of broccoli. Children portion almost the same as adults portion no complains there but the price is about the same a $1 difference. The only reason they are receiving a 2 star is because the rice is good.

GREAT!!! First time eating here and it was worth it. Service was great too.

Sake Express is a classic, express hibachi restaurant. I've visited this place countless times and I'm just writing a review about it. I visited on Sunday afternoon with my girlfriend. There was a bit of traffic, which is quite normal for the weekend. We dined in on our visit. We waiting approximately ten minutes to order. I ordered hibachi chicken and shrimp with a side of noodles. My girlfriend ordered hibachi shrimp. We both ordered one Japanese spring roll. The Japanese spring roll is a fried spring roll with crab and cream cheese covered with eel sauce. I'd highly recommend trying it. Unfortunately it's not pictured in this review. The food, per usual, was awesome. The hibachi orders come with rice, broccoli (or mushroom) and sweet carrots. My girlfriend and I split a side of noodles. The noodles were fantastic. They were cooked to perfection in soy sauce. Our waitress was fantastic. She brought our food promptly and kept our drinks refilled. Overall, 5 stars. Express hibachi doesn't get any better than Sake.

Been to this place countless times and I must say from the food to service it's amazing. Clean and friendly environment, parking can be kind of tricky when the drive thru is slammed but other than that this place is a must go to.

Webb Custom Kitchen - Gastonia 10:45am Mothers Day…read more My son asked me where I wanted to go for Mother's Day. I had been to Webb a few times. I thought he would enjoy the theme, environment/vibe so that was my suggestion! Of course they didn't let us down lol! He was looking up the movie that was playing on the screen with Barbara Stanwick and a young Kirk Douglas. We loved the music they had playing as well so many memories wow what a throwback! We were seated upstairs and had a wonderful view of the screen, not to mention the activities in the kitchen down below. Really it's the best seat if you call for reservations! We ordered off of the brunch menu for main dishes, I told him he absolutely had to try a couple of the appetizers! We had fried green tomatoes, and the angry lobster to start. Both were absolutely wonderful and exactly what I expected so definitely consistent. We ordered two Benedict dishes. I got the crabcake Benedict and he got the eggs with ham. Everything was very good, but when it comes to crabcakes, I can't lie. Nothing compares to 131 main so the size of the Crabcakes - I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong. They were fresh, but too thin and the flavor and texture were not to my personal preference. The crab kind of got lost in all the other ingredients. I would definitely try a different dish next time. I ordered a side of bacon, perfectly cooked and great flavor. Along with the side of their mac & cheese, which has always been a favorite. I love the combination of cheeses that they use. It's such a treat! Lastly, we had to have their Parmesan truffle fries. Again consistent, excellent! They are always busy so reservations are required versus recommended to be honest. But we parked for free across the street because we were there early. Sadly, neither one of us had room for dessert, but their desserts are so good and the helpings are huge. Maybe next time!

They used to have a sign that said "No WiFi, talk to each other," But didn't see it this time around. Anyways, Linebergers is a great spot to eat at if you are looking for some good food in the Lake Norman-Mooresville area. This is a fairly casual steakhouse, so if you don't dress up you won't be the odd ball in the room, but you certainly have a choice. Every server is fantastic. They are friendly, they treat you like family, and are quick. To my knowledge, almost every entree comes with a trip to the salad bar. They have the BEST salad bar. DO NOT SKIP ON THE SALAD BAR! They also give you warm rolls with "Texas Roadhouse style" honey butter to start. I highly recommend the prime rib as an entree. Don't get me wrong, it's not the absolute best prime rib I have ever had, but it is up there. It has great flavor, is seasoned well, and is tender. Their creamy horseradish is just ok, but that does not ruin the quality of the meat. The last couple of times they put chopped onions in my mac-and-cheese, which was weird and didn't taste good at all, but luckily this time there were no chopped onions. Both my older and younger cousins got the mac-and-cheese also, and one said that the cheese was too bland, while the other said that the cheese was too strong (sharp). Me personally I think that it is on the more bland side, so Linebergers can take that advice and apply it into their recipe, but nonetheless it is still good. They have the best dessert called the "Lake Norman Mudd Pie," which is essentially a layer of vanilla, coffee, and chocolate ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and Oreo pieces. It is a good treat to have every once in a while, but is rich!! But, if you want a sweet treat, I would recommend opting for that. As a summary, the hospitality at Linebergers is unbeatable and has some pretty solid food (don't forget about the incredible salad bar). Once again, if you are in the area, do not miss out. Head to Linebergers! You will not be disappointed.

Came to celebrate my husband's birthday, and chose Old Stone because it had a kid's menu and we want a "family friendly fancy" environment. Our server was just, eh. In a way he seemed bothered to have a table. Chalked it up as maybe a bad night, but it didn't enhance our experience. We ordered the pork belly appetizer, and the pork belly itself was burnt and the peaches were mushy - almost baby food texture. A miss for us. The steaks, again, amazing, perfectly cooked - even my daughter's steak tips. The sides however, another miss. The kids fries were mushy, and tasted like they had been sitting out a while. My husband's mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant/from a box and lacked the bright white color or fluffy texture. My wedge salad was drenched in dressing, and the dressing itself was runny. It certainly wasn't what I anticipated for a steakhouse wedge. It seemed like a rushed after thought. The other part that was a letdown - every single plate we were handed was broken. Every single one. When you're paying steakhouse prices, I'd like to see presentable plates. One, sure I could see it slipped by, but every one? That's just laziness on replacing them in my opinion. I'll say it a third time, steaks were delicious...but the rest, well it was just lacking, and not sure the steaks hold their own to justify another trip.

The Negroni was well balanced and the blackberry smash was super easy to drink. They had a fried shrimp special (ninja shrimp or something?) and that ended up being one of the best parts of the meal.
