I worked in restaurants for a long time and I'm usually very non-confrontational with anybody who works at restaurants because of that. She complained about me loudly right in front of me. Then my food was tampered with. I found a bunch of human hair in my food. She then had the audacity to say that it was because they used acid while cooking my food that there was human hair in it. It was the worst excuse I've ever heard. I will never go back.

The food here is good for the most part if they get your order correct which is a roll of the dice. The biggest issue with this place is the staff. Just imagine going back to high school and trying to order food from your classmates. That is about the level of professionalism and work ethic that their staff has. You can go to multiple locations and it doesn't seem to get any better. You call at 30 minutes before they close and IF they answer the phone, they tell you that their registers are closed for the night and that you can't place an order. You ask them politely, "are you not open till 9 o'clock weekdays or 10 o'clock on the weekends?" and they say "yes, but our registers are closed for the night." Umm...what? So instead of getting upset, you give up on them and try to call the Belmont location, and not once have I ever had them answer the phone. NEVER! So I drive to the location and order at their drive thru. And every time I ask the employee, "Do you not take call-in orders anymore?" And every time they say "yes, we do." I just laugh. I am leaving this review as I hope that the owners see this and correct the issues they have with their staff. I genuinely like this restaurant and in Mount Holly there is few to go to, so it would be great if they functioned like a normal business. Please business owner, fix this mess! I would love to get Japanese without suffering an aneurysm from stress. Thank you! read more
