The staff was very sweet and welcoming. My stylist Amenha was amazing! I would give a no star if it were possible. WORST service I have ever reached. I went in to get my hair colored and trimmed. The owner that did my hair Shely, left the dye on my hair for over 30 minutes because the timer never went off. I didn't think much of it, until 4 hours later I went home and my SCALP WAS BURNT. As the days went on, my head kept itching, the irritation got worse and hives started forming on my head due to the reaction from the dye being on my head for too long. They are extremely unprofessional. Would never go back there again. read more

From the time that I sat since this was my first time with her , she asked about prior care of my nails to know how to go forward with my nails , she gave me some nail changing tips on how to care for my nails . I've never had a better manicure in my life ! She cleaned up my nails so good ! You can really feel the difference when you get a good manicure done ! Today was my first time and I don't think I can have anyone else touch my nails but Cristina . The end result was picture perfect. Take a look for yourself ! As for the actual salon . I live in North Miami and I can always recall riding past this shop, always promising myself to get my next trim here. It's very appealing - it has a goth-esque appearance from the outside with a cheeky name. This was a couple months back - and right now my hair is seriously untamed, long, and I have a pretty gross mullet. But when I did go, I remember the owner allowing me in thirty minutes or so before opening. I waited for the first stylist to arrive, and she did have an appointment, but I'm very patient and so I waited like a good boy that I am. With that said, I met with Bianca and she did an overall fine job with my trim. The price wasn't so bad and seemed fair - the level of service here is pretty on par compared to most salons in the nearby area. I've tried close competitors, but this one is more *inviting* - I would go again, for sure. read more

S&S is a beautiful, chic gothic-inspired modern salon. It's staffed by a colorful haired crew that's unpretentious and alternative. Found this salon from groupon since I'm always looking for a good hair stylist which I liken to finding a doctor or therapist you like. The place is run by Amy and her mother, and her sister Lauren does nails, waxing, and facials. My first visit, I used the groupon which was a steal: $55 for a cut, blowout, and single processing color. I got half of my head shaved, the other half cut, and my baylayage dyed to a dark red-purple/ brown. I was very satisfied with the service. Kim, the receptionist, offers you water, espresso, or any other drinks you may want. During my second visit, I got the works: an eyebrow wax, gel mani, pedi, and haircut. Generally, I wouldn't splurge this much but because of limited time in my schedule I wanted a one stop shop which it provides, with the exception of massages. Threading is no longer available because as it turns out, it's not great for your eyebrow hair. It ends up thinning it out over time. Following the wax, Lauren uses almond oil to soothe the skin and is non-comedogenic (aka won't make you break out). It costs $20. A haircut goes for $45 and includes a shampoo and conditioner. The gel mani ($35) and pedi ($20) was $55 by Lauren again. She's responsible for picking the products for the wax, facial, and nail products. The nail polishes are all organic and fragrance free so no icky smell of acetone. There are 2 pedicure chairs and 2 mani tables. It takes about an hour and half for the nail treatment so I wouldn't recommend it if you're in a rush. Overall, ended up paying $173 with tip. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in need of a salon that's unpretentious. Parking is on the side of the building next to the adjacent Columbian restaurant and free. read more

Amy saved my hair! I went in for corrective color - a stylist at another salon had turned my blonde highlights into a greenish, red mess when I was trying to go back to brunette. Amy spent at least 10 minutes with me first, asking the right questions, and educating me about coloring. I was so happy with the results, I couldn't stop staring at my hair for the rest of the weekend. The color compliments my skin tone and no more green highlights! Kimberly at the front desk was so sweet and patient. I had my hair cut with Bianca and she was amazing! She took the time to ask what I wanted and has a really great eye for what looks good. I finally found my "hair home"! After searching high and low since I moved to Miami 3 years ago, I finally feel like I have found my hairstylist. Because I have fine, spiral curly hair, it's difficult for me to find someone who can understand my hair as well as be a great colorist. I haven't found that combination in literally 8 years! Both cut AND color are important to me since I love to change up my color frequently and cutting curly hair poorly can either leave me looking like a poodle or a triangle. The salon itself is very pleasing to the eye. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and immediately offered a beverage. Let me start by saying from the moment I called for my appointment I was treated well even after knowing that I was there due to a groupon purchase. It's the easiest way for me to try out a hairdresser without having to spend a ton of money in case I hate it. Sometimes establishments don't react well or change their tone when you say you purchased a groupon. Bianca the Cutter greeted me and we had a nice chat over what I wanted done. Because I needed a deep conditioning I obviously paid the extra for that since my groupon was for a cut/single process color/blow dry. The consultation was thorough and the shampoo by Jester and treatment were great. The blow dry was fantastic! I'm 3 days in to my blow dry and even with Miami humidity it still looks amazing. Bianca gave me a style with volume that looks polished. The cut has made my hair look bouncy and healthy. All in all, it was a great experience....the salon is beautiful...but more importantly I have found my hairdresser in Bianca. I would definitely recommend this salon. read more

Great haircut from Gianni- he understood exactly what I wanted. Too bad he's not there anymore. I went again anyway and a young girl cut my hair and it was horrible and I asked her to fix it but she made it worse. I'm def not going back and I blew like 40 bucks. 1st time I went: I HAD an appointment but waited FORTY-FIVE MINUTES while they not so discretely cut the hair of a whole family who happened to stop by who they were friends with. The first time the smaller woman with an accent was absolutely wonderful when she shampooed my hair and was the ONLY person who started a conversation with me and even ACKNOWLEDGED that I had waited so long! What a concept! The second time, the guy washing my hair kind of roughed me up. The shampoo is one of the beeeeest parts of getting a hair cut and this one was unpleasant. It takes a special kind of not-giving-a-shit to make a head massage of all things, feel neglectful. I also felt just a little bit ostracized for wearing a color other than black into this place. The 5 receptionists, or whoever all those girls were up a reception, gossiping together on their phones, ignoring me while I waited 45 minutes, clearly have had NO customer service training. Having worked at many hospitals I've been through many customer service trainings that have included tips like- smile at the customer, acknowledge the customer, apologize for the wait and give them updates occasionally, be on stage when you're at work. I admit, the older staff members seemed professional but others didn't have a clue. Their appointments were so disorganized, too. read more
