After arriving, the lady at the front desk offered me a coffee and was very nice. I wasn't planning to get color but decided I wanted some subtle highlights. The stylist seemed to know exactly what I wanted, a balayage. I even showed her many pictures. Hours after, between the stylist going for smoke breaks and back and forth between other clients. I came out with an hombre. After just seeing other comments from other visitors with the same experience I had to comment as well. I got an amazing hair cut and blow out by Bianca. Seriously God Bless her because I have been on a bad streak with hair cuts for at least two years. Highly recommend! Not to mention I visited a blow dry bar last month and within 30 minutes of leaving my appointment, my hair had completely gone back to its natural state, despite all the product they put in it. STYLIST BELITTLED ME! Purchased Groupon for Deep Conditioning & Haircut. At first glance of the place, I loved the asthetic, atmosphere and the attitudes of most workers. BUT unfortunately the stylist I was paired with (some Fabio looking guy) was EXTREMELY rude. He took a look at my hair and said it was very dry and I explained to him that on one section of my hair I had bleach damage from a previous stylist (therefore I thought the groupon voucher was a fitting fix for my problem). So after they shampooed me, my hair went to it's natural curly state. He obviously didnt know how to work with it and grew frustrated. As he was working on me he threw brushes and tools around which knocked my tea over that another worker had to come over and pick it up. He said my curly/ partially damaged hair was "Depinga" (which is a Spanish derogatory word for shitty). If there wasn't dead silence between me and him, it was just him raising his voice at me with unnecessary comments. But when he proceeded to blowdry my hair he admitted to me that my hair wasn't in such a bad state as he thought and suggested that I leave the damaged part as it is and let it grow out. Even though I had asked for it to be cut down shoulder length or with layers, but he only cut the tips. Mind you my hair was still not completely blow dried with my roots still curled up and the hair styling looking a mess, didn't add no oil, no hair spray or anything. SAID HE WAS DONE AND WALKED TO THE BACK! And I left the tip for the shampoo girl. Like not even offering for me to come back for more 'correction' services. It gave me the impression that my heritage isn't welcomed for their service. IT WAS EMBARRASSING AND A SHAMEFUL. read more

I had an absolute amazing experience. It was my first time visiting Saints-N-Scissors and Ricky blew my expectations thru the roof. Before I came in, my hair was uneven, damaged and had no style whatsoever. Ricky completely transformed my hair. My hair now looks super healthy and finally has a style that suits my face. With COVID, I was fearful of visiting a new salon but at Saints-N-Scissors they make sure to maintain cdc guidelines such as mask requirements, social distancing and sanitation. I would also like to mention how lovely the staff was. Kimberly, who booked my appointment, was super helpful during the process by going over all my questions and concerns and even gave me a reminder call 24 hours before my appointment. Deep conditioning less than 10 min, not as originally explained. Haircut with Pedro unprofessional. No thinning scissors where used for my type of hair. Consequently a big chunk of hair was missing on the back. I notice that at home since it was covered by the way the blow dry was done. Inappropriate big hair brush for a very short hair was used. It took me while to write this review because I really wanted to like it here .. Very nice decor and trendy .. Small enough to be a local spot. People for the most part are friendly and smiley. I actually went here twice since I always like to give the salon a second chance before I continue or find another place . Unfortunately, my second visit made it my final. I asked for balayage and really got an ombré or just a color correction . As a hair stylist this should be known or they should have asked if they didn't know what a balayage is. Then asked for pink hidden highlight and she forgot and had to wait all over again for it to be done.. My 2 hour visit turned to 4 hours and there was no acknowledgement or sincere apology . The experience was very good. Everyone was very friendly once I arrived at the salon. The receptionist is very nice and helpful. This was my first time to the salon to get a mani/pedi. I haven't had much luck in this department so I decided to give them a try. It's day two and my gel manicure is still good. I have been meaning to visit this place as I've seen friends from social media post their pictures with fabulous hair. When I saw the Groupon, I figured it was a great opportunity to try it. I had an appointment with Amy for a conditioning, cut and blow-dry. She is so amazingly sweet and so is her staff. I felt welcomed which is something not all salons have to offer. I purchased a Groupon for haircut, condition and blowout for $39. I ran about 25 minutes late and everyone was very accommodating. Ameneh was my stylist. Don't be fooled by her blue dreads and laid back attitude, the girl knows how to cut hair. I wasn't blown away by the cut as it was a pretty standard trim, I wanted something a little different and was open to suggestions (didn't get any). It was a dry cut as that's how she preferred to do it. It wasn't a bad cut, by any means, but it just wasn't a 'wow.' I guess those results are few and far between. Lost points for smoking a cigarette midway thru my conditioning treatment, then smelled like smoke when she continued my blowout. Sorry, but the smell made me queasy. The lady who washed and did the conditioning treat meant was very nice; conditioning treatment was pretty standard. A haircut is $40 (women's) so I guess with the conditioning treatment and blowout it would be around $80. Sorry but the cut/trim wouldn't be worth the $80. read more

I usually go to Snip in Miami Beach for my hair-cut but they don't have a separate price for bangs. I was in the mood for bangs and I was not in the mood to spend $100 so I went here. It's a block from my house and has a very cool rustic/urban look to it. They charged very reasonably for the bangs I wanted and I pretty much got what I asked for which was some thin piece-y bangs. I loooove this salon! Not a single complaint here. It's a cool 'hole in the wall' style salon with such great service that made my haircut experience so relaxing and enjoyable! I purchased their Groupon deal, and i'd come back here with or without the deal just because of how well I was treated. The conditioning treatment was very relaxing and smelled like a light pina colada. It was so refreshing and made my hair so shiny and healthy, I almost dozed off for a minute or two in the heating chair because it was so great. My stylist, Amyne, was the best! She made me this delicious cafe con leche while I was waiting for my actual cut, and was so sweet and down to earth. The interior of the salon is super cool and gothic-like- definitely different than your typical, generic salon that has weird hair ads everywhere plastered on the wall. I really like this salon. If you've read my other salon reviews, you'll find that I have trouble finding places that both feel good and deliver a high quality product. The salon itself is not only beautiful, but filled with good vibes-- it's obvious that these guys like each other, and they are genuinely kind to their customers...even the window washer whistled while he worked. (Say that five times fast...) The first time I came was about four months ago. Amy, the owner, cut my hair. Bless her heart, because I came in like a feral horse...I had unintentionally started a dred in the back of my long, thick hair. (What can I say, it was a rough six months prior, and when I let myself go, I really go.) She was so darn nice and competent...it was kind of like I was in a Discover card commercial where I was getting taken care of by me, albeit a much cooler me, and we talked dogs and good places to get cafe con leche in North Miami. I came back a few days ago as a last minute walk-in right as they opened. I met Ricky-warm and down to business, I got my hair shampooed by the same wonderful woman, and this time Gianni cut my hair. He did such a gorgeous job. It was when he whipped out a razor-embedded comb with swivel thumb anchor and dragged it through my hair...that's when I knew that, in good faith, I would have to yelp about this very special place. Finally, for whatever reason, their shampoo station is the only chair/sink combo wherein I've had no pain in the neck. I always feel bad neck pain when I get my hair shampooed. I have mixed reviews for this place... a limited selection of polishes, they try to only carry more eco-friendly options, like zoya, and don't have the essie or OPI colors. it was ok though because i found a zoya color that i'm obsessed with now! first, if you don't love dogs, this might not be the salon for you, there were two little dogs running around the salon - which was fine with me, but I can see how it would be a turn off to some other potential customers. the lady who did my hands was AMAZING. i never had a regular mani (non-gel) last as long as it did. it stayed amazing for two weeks and i was able to make it stretch for a third week. my toes however... the polish was on my skin, despite the lady's (a different lady who did my pedicure) attempts to clean up the polish. it looked like a 12 year old did my pedicure. she also layered the polish on too thick, i didn't wear closed toed shoes until the next day and it still smushed the polish. there is parking on the side and back, and don't blink or you might miss it going down US1! it's located in between a colombian restaurant and an furniture store. read more

They were having a group on for $65 dollars on a blow dry, cut, and single-process color. I read their reviews on yelp and decided to call and make an appointment. I am SOOOOO happy I did! Ameneh was my hair stylist and she is absolutely amazing! My hair is NOT easy. It is very curly, frizzy, and nappy. The curls are very tight and i have a lot i mean A LOT of hair. She did everything perfect. From the cut (which was my biggest fear) to the color. Shelley (owner) helped her to make sure I got the perfect color. She is such a doll! Very sweet. She came by a few times to make sure I was okay. The older lady who washed and conditioned my hair was a sweet heart. When I finished she stopped by to see how it came out and to ask if i liked it. I LOVE it! I did pay a little extra because it took a lot more color for my hair and I wanted flat iron as well. Blow dry isn't enough for my hair! I paid $75 extra. Some may think that is way to much! But for my hair it is not. For $135 in total (including group on) it was a steal. The atmosphere is just amazing in this hidden gem and so are the people! Walking into this salon I was very impressed with how beautifully it was decorated. It is unique, edgy and lovely. Amy Miller cut and colored my hair, I really liked her technique. I had not got a cut and color that good in years ( I have long brown hair ). Lauren Miller did my nails, she did an immaculate job that lasted for weeks. One looks like my dogs' twin so of course I'm sold immediately. If you don't like dogs well first something wrong with you and two pick another spot then! Great experience here. I have super curly thick hair. Went in for a big chop!!! A curly pixie cut and specifically asked for it to be cut dry. I was super apprehensive since it's hard to find someone who knows what to do with curly hair let alone cutting it dry. But St. Gianni proved to be up for the task. He knows curly hair. He took his time and was detailed. Had a good technique to snip some hairs in a way they'll curl right back up. And he knew to use a cleansing conditioner. I can appreciate that. Pixie cut came out great!! Getting nothing but compliments. Curly girls don't be afraid to see st. Gianni for cuts.
