Terrible customer service. I made an appointment with Christy for a haircut. After 30 mins waiting they told me go talk to her because she's "busy doing highlights " and I said yeah but I have an appointment for 12 o'clock. Kristy comes and says oh I'm busy you're gonna have to wait over an hour and a half for me to do your hair I don't know who made your appointment at 12 but I'm busy. I said I'm coming from Hollywood all the way over here to cut my hair with you, she said well just cut your hair with anybody then you shouldn't be coming from Hollywood all the way over here. Very rude. They could have called me a head of time and changed my appointment for a later time or day. Or handled the situation differently when I was there. Just very sad how people have no consideration for your time anymore. Don't recommend this place at all. Good service is everything. read more

Very nice sweet people here, I checked in here and was honored the $3 off coupon. Another thing that's huge (for me) they speak English here so I can actually communicate what I'm looking to get done. Being in Miami English is a second language so the fact that I finally found a barber shop that can work with me is awesome. They also offer women's haircuts along with manicures pedicures so if your significant other tags along and that's their thing then there ya go. They also go by a point system so once you've accumulated a certain amount of points (I believe 200) you get a free hair cut and whatever services you receive will earn you points and go towards that free hair cut. Took my daughter for a haircut, I was scheduled for 1:30 but they didn't sit us until almost an hour later. There seemed to be a little bit of a miscommunication at the front desk as to who was cutting my daughters hair, I believe they double booked the same hairdresser for her time slot BUT the lady who took care of her, Cristy, did a fantastic job. My daughter was very happy with her hair cut and the hair dresser was very friendly and professional. I kept her card, definitely using her again. read more

I came here this past weekend when I needed to get GQ'd for the weekend. My nails need to get trimmed and found The Hair Place when looking for a spot near the office. Located in a Hialeah Gardens strip shopping center, there's plenty of parking and the salon is modern with plenty of natural lighting. The massage chairs are new, really comfortable and with a digital controller of where to put the extra pressure. Dora my nail tech did a good job with trimming the talons on my feet, a relaxing massage and trimming the talons on my feet. As far as the callous, she used an actual grinder and not a cheese grater. There was also a great job with my nails. Being a Cuban run place, of course there was cafecito to be had. Tbe price (at least for a male salon experience) was extremely reasonable at $20. The only reason I'm docking a star is because they don't do neck massage yet. But I know i found a place to get cleaned up and civilized at! read more

I speak Spanish enough so anyone can understand what I'm saying... I called on the phone and said I wanted a roller set with blow dry and I had a sew in extensions .. they said ok to come and I sat in the chair and the woman washed my hair and didn't even massage my scalp, my scalp is still very dirty... I tried to massage my scalp and she stopped me ... then she started to blow dry my hair and I asked her to rollerset my hair and she went to the manager and said I'm not doing it in Spanish and came back and started to continue to blow dry my hair and I told her to use the big rollers so it won't take her long and she said "I no understand" then at the end my scalp was still moist and she started using the flat iron with her hands instead of a comb and she flat ironed everything including my real hair with her hands and it wasn't silky like it should have been if she would of used a comb. Only elderly people or naturally straight easy older people go to this salon I should have walked out when she didn't wash my hair properly then she had the nerve to say no tip when they charged me 100$ and I want happy with my hair at all I'm pissed now I have to pay to do it again somewhere else... read more

I came into town from Atlanta to get either a straightener or keratin treatment she was honest and tried out a strand of my hair to see if it could handle a straightening treatment, it couldn't handle the harsh chemicals of a straightening treatment, so we did a Keratin. I found this place last minute. My "go to" salon was packed and I was desperate for a blow dry. Nothing better than Yelp to find this gem. I called and the women over the phone said come right over. These ladies were great and open on Sundays. I work the whole week and sometimes even weekends so getting to visit my 82 year old mom isn't easy let alone making the time to take her to the salon. So, I got on Yelp and here they were, I called to see if I could bring her by at 11am with whoever was 1st available and they said sure. One thing led to another and we made it in by about 12:30pm. They kindly took her to a chair. The stylist helped me get her from the wheel chair to the salon chair. I went next door to the lovely Navarro's. Did my shopping then filled the air in my tires and my mom was almost done. She looks great. She lives in an Assisted Living Facility and has been back from Rehab about a month now she hasn't had anything done to her hair since then. I have thin medium length hair and not every stylist knows how to add volume and pizazz! Well, Ida, was courteous and she got the job done. She made me feel comfortable and she listened to my requests.I immediately knew she had experience, as she was blow drying my hair. Unlike the posts below, my experience wasn't very pleasant. It's Friday night & im trying to get a regular manicure. I had an appointment for 7 PM. I get to the salon on time and the receptionist tells me I need to wait. 40 minutes pass and i go ask her if there's anyone who can do my nails? She says "yes you need to wait until I paint these hands and feet". What's the point of making appointments? On the website it gives you a whole range of employees (manicurists) to choose from and when I get to the salon there is only one table with one manicurist? Seriously! If I rush to be on time - I expect you to be ready at the time my appointment was confirmed. I had to walk out after one whole hour wasted... And of course, without my nails done. read more

I was very specific when describing what I wanted done; I explained how my previous hair stylist achieved what I wanted and I showed pictures. Fast forward to the end of my hair cut (which was filled with me telling her what I wanted and correcting her when she started to do something I didn't ask for or want) and my hair is 2-3 inches shorter than I asked and I have unflattering, choppy, uneven layers that don't complement my face and ruined my curls. I tried politely telling her that the haircut was not at all what I had asked for but she proceeded to passive-aggressively tell me that she did what I asked and that it will grow back. No, Raul, Lorena wanted to use black; however, I told her I have never used black but dark brown. Ida knew I wasn't happy. I was told I could return to correct. I opted not to be a pest and waited for the next scheduled appointment in three weeks. I expected the dark-brown color to be run through my entire head to even the color out. That didn't happen. As far as there being no mention of red in your system, I'm not surprised because it was a mistake. My roots have never been so red as I despise red highlights on me. read more
