Thanks to fellow Yelpers' reviews, I found this salon. My 11 yr old daughter and I went in for an afternoon of pampering and they did not disappoint. First, Chelsea is an awesome hairdresser. Once you go Chelsea you never go back. Lol. She thoroughly explains what she is going to do before she starts working on your hair. With me she sat me down and gave me her honest opinion of what I should have done. I appreciated it, and in the end my hair looks great. I got the Hair Botox (which is a lighter version of keratin) to straighten my hair and get rid of the frizz. Now I don't need to worry about Miami humidity poofing my hair for 3 months! My daughter got the full treatment with the cut, blow out and hair Botox treatment. I was hesitant to let my daughter do the Botox at first but after Chelsea explained the pros and cons I agreed to it. Plus her prices are very fair. My daughter's hair looks beautiful! While I waited my turn, I got a mani and pedi with Ana and she was very good, too. Very careful and took her time. Did a very nice job of fixing the mess I had from a previous mani/pedi. The service at this salon is great, and Chelsea in specific is really talented and professional. She didn't hesitate to ask me questions about my hair or about the look that I wanted. She was helpful in recommending products and styling tips for my hair type, too! Overall, the salon itself is modern and has a glam feel. The layout was open and didn't feel too crowded, even though there were tons of women getting their hair and nails done! Where to begin? Came to the salon because it had great reviews. As soon as I walked in it was chaos. Super loud environment, hair all over the floor and no one even acknowledged I was standing there. After a while the lady closest to the door greeted me, I told her I was there for an appointment with Maylin she points to Maylin who then basically tells me she's running behind and " had kinda forgotten about my appointment" I said ok I'll just wait. I sat down, 30 minutes come and go she finishes with her client and then she starts with another client. At this point I can't wait any longer due to the fact that I am breastfeeding mother who has a baby at home and I am in an extremely tight schedule. I understand hairdressers run behind sometimes I just wish she had being honest from the beginning and had told me how long of an actual wait it would have been so I could have rescheduled and come back another time.
