Wake early for morning photos at Forsyth then walk across the street to St. Bibiana for breakfast. The dot has a pickup spot super close so, afterwards, hitch a free ride air conditioned ride to view the rest of the city! If we could afford to stay at this boutique hotel, we would! Breakfast gave us the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the dining area, each order a sweet or savory item and share, and imagine what staying here would be like. Service was amazing with lots of other local recommendations for dining (which we took and were spot-on). Food was delicious with every bite. It's a beautiful spot. Working in the funeral industry myself, it was also neat to know it used to be a funeral home. read more

We were able to get a reservation for 8pm. We used the valet service to park our car. The restaurant was gorgeously lit up. The hostess greeted us at the door and checked us in. There isn't a good place to stand at the entryway as people walk in, but we were able to maneuver around the doorway as more people walked in. They led us to our seat, which was sadly in a walk through space. I get that you need to utilize every space possible to seat people, but it was disappointing that it felt very much like an overflow seating area. I thought I was over thinking this, but another table said it felt like punishment to be seated in this particular space when every other space was so gorgeous. Our server greeted us quickly, but didnt really give us the full 1st timer overview? Again, I thought it was me thinking to much into it, but then heard another server give the full 1st timer overview and felt cheated out of the experience. They took our drink order and then disappeared for quite a long time. They finally returned and took our order, but then we really didnt see the server again until it was time to consider dessert? In fact, we had to ask the people bringing out our food for more water. Again, really felt like this particular space was just an after thought... The food was amazing. We ordered a half dozen oysters to start. The mignonette was so good. We then had the Caesar salad. We enjoyed the mushroom toast. We did not enjoy the cavatelli pasta dish as much, it was ok. The steak was delicious with the bone broth and butter. Unfortunately, only part of the steak was actually medium rare, the other part was over cooked. We had no room for dessert. I did see videos of a person walking around with a bread basket, but we did not see it. Might be seasonal? I was expecting better service and better seating given the price point. Maybe you need to get in early for 5 star servic? Maybe you need ask for a reservation in a specific room? read more

5 stars isn't even enough for this establishment. I wish I could give them 10 stars! I was in town visiting my friend and we wanted to try a nice rooftop but it was raining so we had to scale back our plans. We decided to try the bar here because it was cute and we had never been. To start off the location is absolutely breathtaking. This place is like the places you see in the movies. We arrived around 9ish and there were only two others at the bar. We were served water and given the menu to review. We decided to just make it a wine night and hang out to enjoy each other's company. The vibe was intimate and lowkey. The establishment was clean. Every little detail you could think of was thought of here. Now I need to give the biggest thank you to the bartenders. We had Meredith and a gentleman serve us. The care and hospitality we received was unmatched. I can't even describe another service experience that has topped the way I was treated here. They genuinely took care of my friend and I and I have been raving about them ever since! The kitchen was closed and somehow I still received my pasta... I was really moved and in tears from this gesture. I missed the kitchen closing and they told me it was closed and I was genuinely not upset but the fact that the bartender went above and beyond to the kitchen to make it happen for me was something I will never forget. FINAL VERDICT: fairly priced and amazing quality! There was a party upstairs but you have to be a member of the club or a guest at their hotel. I love the exclusivity around it. I also want to add the bathroom was beautiful. I'm so happy I was able to check out the Saint Bibiana. This was truly an experience unlike any other! read more

This was my first visit and is now one of my favorite restaurants in Savannah! We came for my birthday. Foodie-approved, delicious food. Attentive, friendly service team. High-class, elegant dining in many home-inspired rooms in this historic building. Gluten-friendly for those intolerant! We started with the GRILLED OCTOPUS. The seasoned, charged flavor was outstanding. It was not the most tender octopus that I have enjoyed, but it was very enjoyable. I love me some octopus. They provide bread, which was good, but not authentic to Italian style. It was a bit like mushy white American bread. I would love to see them bring a more structured bread with crusty exterior. The SEASONED OLIVE OIL served with the bread was very high quality. The oil was peppery, a testament to its freshness. They even had gluten-free bread for my daughter. Next course, we enjoyed a SHAVED ASPARAGUS SALAD. I have never had such a salad, and thoroughly enjoyed it. They literally shave thin slices of asparagus stalks and mix in snow peas leaves. For the pasta course, we enjoyed the CAMPENELLE, a mushroom-forward dish. Super delicious! My daughter enjoyed the FAZZOLETI, a butter and cheese sauce with a runny egg. Also very tasty and buttery delicious. They make their own pasta fresh in-house. They offer gluten-free pasta which is not made in-house, but glad to have the option for those that need it. For main course, we enjoyed the BISTECCA FLORENTINA. It's a 24oz, Koji aged prime cut with porcini butter and bone broth. It comes with T-bone but pre-cut from bone and sliced which makes things easy. We ordered medium rare and they delivered. For sides, we selected the SPINACH and PEARL POTATOES. They were simple but good. I would have appreciated if they were more highly seasoned or topped with a sauce. Perhaps offer creamed spinach. TIP: Dishes are good sized. If you are thinking about a full 5-6 course meal, you can easily share with one or two people. This helps you from overeating and helps keep bill down. For dessert, we enjoyed a FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE. I loved it because it was choclatey without being too overly rich...so your body doesn't feel bad after eating it. They have a large drink menu with lots of wines. I was not familiar with the available Italian wines and our waiteress was able to help make selection. In another testament to service, my water glass had a smell, and they not only gave me new glass but also brought a whole new bottle of sparkling water, even though the water itself wasn't the source of the smell. It wasn't on the after-dinner drink Menu but you can ask for LEMONCELLO for the true Italian experience. I am not sure if they made it or not, but it was yummy. This was not a cheap dinner but considering it was a 5-course, high quality, elegant dinner, the price was extremely fair. I will be back! read more

From the moment you arrive, this place feels like something out of a dream. Set within a beautifully preserved historic mansion, the restaurant effortlessly blends old-world elegance with a modern convince and design. The outdoor seating is perfect, dog-friendly, thoughtfully arranged, and offering serene views of the park that make you want to linger long after your meal is finished. The experience is elevated even further by a truly exceptional team. The sommelier and staff are not knowledgeable, they're deeply passionate, guiding you through the menu with precision and genuine enthusiasm. Every dish and bottle feels intentional, every recommendation spot-on. The wine list deserves special praise: it's both sophisticated and playful, filled with unique finds and staples from all over Italy. It's the kind of list that surprises you in the best way possible, it is so evident that they take great pride in their cellar. As for the food, it's simply outstanding. Every dish we had was seasonal, impeccably fresh, and beautifully presented, refined without feeling fussy. The flavors were vibrant, balanced, and fresh. We ended the evening with a flight of Negronis, which was nothing short of brilliant. Each variation was distinct, thoughtfully crafted, and a perfect finale to an already unforgettable meal. read more

Quick stop into St Bibiana's for some brunch because we had to stop here with all the rave reviews and I'm a sucker for pasta. We were able to walk in and grab a table Sunday afternoon for brunch. Ordered the fra lippi cocktails- definitely more sangria forward, and the torchetti pasta. Wish they had more pasta options on the brunch menu but that torchetti pasta was perfection either way. I hope to come back one day for dinner and try some more dishes! read more

Showed up with no reservations. A bit of a mistake but we were able to sit in the bar and wait for a table. We were so comfortable where we were, we decided to stay out and eat there. A wonderful dining experience at Saint Biniana. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding from start to finish. The bread was absolutely amazing--warm, fresh, and full of flavor. I really really wanted to love St. Bibiana's, as I had heard so many raving reviews. I made reservations for a girls night and upon entry the ambiance and scenery were impeccable. It was just so cute, especially the seperated screened in dining area. My waitress was very helpful and attentive. They were able to accommodate me and make me a drink not on the menu. Unfortunately, we just didn't like the food. The bread service was cold and the risotto was mushy. It reminded me more of a porridge than risotto and it lacked flavor. I would return for drinks or to try the appetizers in the future. read more

Found this gem while walking around near Forsyth Park. What a beautiful building inside and out. Was able to get a table for two for dinner right away and even got a nice window seat! Amazing service first off and everything we chose was delicious. They also had a bread guy who provided two different types of focaccia bread. I ordered the Blue Crab antipasti plate and the side of roasted ox heart carrots and my mom ordered the Paccheri (shrimp pasta). Surprisingly our favorite dish was the carrots! Roasted to perfection and seasoned with some sort of charcoal? The crab was also fresh and delightful. Very meaty. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Savannah! read more

Saint Bibiana completely blew us away. First of all.... I want to live here. The space is absolutely stunning and the ceilings are unreal. We started with the blue crab salad and could've ordered three more... not because of portion size, but because it was just that good. Then came the bread service with two different focaccias that I will probably dream about for the rest of my life. We asked for extra, but it never came. Sad. For pasta, we split the mafaldine and the campanelle and the portion sizes were perfect for sharing. Both were incredible, but if you love mushrooms, the campanelle is going to make you very, very happy. These are two of our favorite pasta dishes in general, and Saint Bibiana absolutely nailed both of them. And then the tiramisu... 10 stars out of 5. read more

We stopped in for drinks. The ambiance is very special. It is located in Hotel Bardo and the decor, the U shaped bar, the art and the furnishings all give an immediate "wow this is a cool place" vibe. I ordered the Bloody Mary, it was very good but extremely spicy!! Lots of pepper and some kind of Parmesan liquor, topped with a pepperocini, burnt leak, fresh dill and cooked celery. My mouth definitely came alive with this drink.. took a few glasses of water to calm it down. My husband enjoyed his Negroni. Stephanie our bartender had only been here a week and she was amazing! We will return. read more

Very nice restaurant but a bit pricey. Old fashion was great and hears the martini is good too. Dinner food was very good but brunch was pretty basic with small portions. Reservations are through Resy and the open spots will disappear the day of (even though there was plenty of open tables the hostesses also said they were full). Luckily we got in but reserve ahead to avoid issues, even if app or venue looks free! Bartenders were super nice, loved sitting in their section!! read more

Came to Saint Bibiana for a friend's birthday dinner and had a great experience. We were seated earlier than our reservation at a super comfy table with couch seating. They brought out complimentary caramelized onion and rosemary bread that was so good we ordered another round. The birthday girl also received a complimentary drink and dessert, which was a really nice touch. We ordered the Bucatini Neri, Bibiana Pomodoro, Cavatelli Sardi (looked amazing but couldn't try cause I'm vegetarian), and crispy potatoes -- everything we tried was flavorful and well done. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. Overall, a lovely spot for a fancy night out or special occasion. read more

Went here with my boyfriend on a weekend trip to Savannah and I'm still thinking about it. The decor is stunning but not in a try-hard way, just really beautiful and well done. Service was amazing. Our server was so friendly and knew the menu inside and out. We couldn't decide between the squid ink pasta and the cavatelli, went with the cavatelli, and then he surprised us with a portion of the squid ink to try anyway which was such a nice touch. The focaccia was unreal, like actually one of my favorite things we ate all weekend. The presentation across the board was gorgeous and everything just felt thoughtful. This is absolutely a must if you're in Savannah. I'd go back in a heartbeat. read more

If you're headed to Savannah, this is a wonderful fancy restaurant to add to your list. We were able to have a long, drawn-out (perhaps 3 hours) meal here amongst friebds and spend quality time together. They never rushed us along or out, and it was surprisingly easy to make a res. within a week of going! We ordered a bunch across the menu and shared everything. I think this restaurant is great for that. I must say, the Antipasti's/Verduras stole the show for me-- reach was better than the next, and all were highlights of the meal. We didn't get anything we didn't like. Note: during your meal, a bread server comes around with (unlimited) Rosemary and/or Onion focaccia. This is great to note in case you want to pass on a Bruschetta or bread-based starter! Also my friend ordered the BEST and perhaps most-unique cocktail I've (possibly) ever had-- the Theodora. Lastly, don't miss the Grilled Mediterranean Octopus (Antipasti)! The consensus was that this was our fav item read more

The interior of the restaurant was nicely decorated. We came for some drinks and appetizers and didn't have a reservation and they nicely let us sit at the nook under the stairs. The complementary bread was nice with an oil and vinaigrette sauce on the side. I got the mocktail which just tasted like a flatter sprite to me. The burrata was nice and plump and soft. The octopus salad was my favorite as the octopus was cooked well and soft, but I wish the serving size was larger. The crudo was my least favorite as it was not fresh with a fishy taste and had a weird taste. I've eaten plenty of sea urchins before to know the sea urchin I ate was also not fresh and was not sweet. The appetizers were pretty expensive for the amount. read more

Understated yet elegant and delicious! A bit of effort to find Saint Bibiana is required. Don't look for any signage just look for the address and the house number above the door. If you know, you know - shh! This is a hidden gem of a spot in Savannah, just off Forsyth Park in a historic building that blends well with the surroundings. Apparently, next door is a hotel discreetly tucked into the same building. Inside you will find a classy atmosphere with a beautiful bar, white tablecloths and elegantly decorated dining rooms and alcoves. The service is professional and refined. The menu features many tempting options whether house made pastas, seafoods or land based proteins catch you eyes. Excellent choices appear available in every segment of a multi course designed menu. A word to wise, be sure to hear the specials before commenting to any bit of the menu offerings. We started with a Burrata with Blackberries and a shaved Asparagus Salad. Both were well plated and delicious. My wife choose a specials item of Seared Scallops on a Squash Purée and I opted for one of the menu based pastas, the Paccheri with Shrimp. Once again beautifully presented and quite delicious. Both proteins were perfectly cooked and my pasta was exceptional. Richly flavored Calabrian Pepper, Parmesan and Roasted Breadcrumbs provided tasty bites. Sadly, we didn't have room for dessert. Perhaps next time. They offer more than dinner including a brunch, lunch and even breakfast. In addition, cooking classes are available and sound like another item for our next visit to Savannah. This is quite a place. read more

Saint Bibiana was outstanding--we enjoyed it twice, once for New Year's Eve dinner and again for breakfast on New Year's Day, and both experiences were excellent. For NYE dinner, we dined in the club area, which we were able to access since we were staying at the affiliated Hotel Bardo next door. The experience felt special and elevated. The food quality was fantastic on both occasions, the service was attentive and professional, and the ambiance was charming, romantic, and perfectly suited for a celebratory meal. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. It is on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, service, and overall experience made it well worth it. Highly recommend for a special occasion or memorable dining experience. read more

Had high hopes based on the reviews, but the terrible service ruined the experience. As first-timers, no one walked us through the menu or mentioned specials, and our server barely checked back for refills. The focaccia bread was served cold with no butter, and the dipping oils came out way late. Food tasted good, but the overall selection and drink menu were very limited. We couldn't wait to just finish and leave--there are much better places out there. read more

We got married and stayed at this hotel nine years ago. There were many changes since then, but I've got to say they were for the better. Trystan took phenomenal care of us. My husband just kept repeating this was the best meal we've had in Savannah. (we are locals) from the initial drinks at the bar with the coolest bartender (did not catch her name) to then a meal we were able to curate with a wine professional, We literally are so excited to go back and we're still struggling from how full we are from the last meal. I travel for work and I cannot think of a time that the experience topped this meal. Thank you again! read more

I'm leaving a one star because of the service NOT THE FOOD! Food was amazing. However, we were on vacation and came across this place because of the aesthetic but service was terrible. We had some guy named Hilberto/Humberto (something like that) and we did not feel cared for. After we ordered we never got a follow up, we needed water, refills and I was missing half of my meal. We finished our meals and chatted and then he finally decided to show up and ask if anything was ok. I kindly told him to comp the half that was missing and he apologized, but he would've known that if he followed up and made sure we were ok in the first place. What really got me upset is that he was just standing around. We definitely would recommend this place for the food but never to get seated in his section. Very disappointing. read more

Early evening dinner. I would recommend taking time to grab a cocktail in the attached hotel ..it looked amazing. Actually, I will book that hotel next time. The restaurant was comfortable and well- appointed. 3 girls and we shared a nice bottle of wine. Wine list was slightly above average, nothing intimidating and we spoke with the sommelier. Oysters - good. Burrata was also good. Salad was served deconstructed and not so great, maybe skip that. We shared the risotto and pomodoro. Honestly the dishes were a bit underwhelming. The bread service was a bit weird; there is a bread "mime" who walks around with a bread tray strapped around their neck. Just gimme a nice plate of fresh, warm bread! Our waiter was aloof, not engaging. Probably a good date night location but for a girls trio for foodies, it's a little flat. read more

The five stars is selfish, and is 100% because their Lemon Olive Oil Cake combines my two favorite things when it comes to a dessert: 1. Anything lemon 2. A well made olive oil cake We got into Savannah later in the day and staying at the hotel had figured we'd eat here. After a few weeks of heavier meals we thought we might be able to eat something simple and a bit lighter. We got the market salad, grilled branzino, roasted truffle potatoes. If the meal had stopped there, I probably would have given this place 4 stars. It was really good, solid food but likely not memorable. It did exactly what we wanted and if we stayed here again I would 100% go back. But now, I would go out of my way to return for the dessert. The service was also impressive - it's a young staff but they're friendly and knowledgable. We arrived early and sat at the bar for a bit, and my fiancé said the manhattan he ordered was good. During the meal I noticed that they were attentive to small details, even going so far as to flipping my knife the opposite way after they refreshed our plates. The interior is also quite cool. It feels like what I imagine an old southern house's parlor or library to be. It's dimly lit and the rooms feel less like a typical restaurant, lined with tables, but more of a place to entertain. While I can't vouch for their pastas, I would guess they're likely as well done as the rest of what we ate. Definitely worth coming to if you're looking for a solid Italian meal. read more

The ambiance at this place makes you feel like you're inside of what Miami SHOULD feel like. The decorations make the Restoration Hardware restaurants look obsolete. This gem inside of Savannah, in my opinion had better Italian food than many of the places I've enjoyed in NYC. The attention to detail in the menu is perfectly translated and even outdone in their presentation, even with my martini. Thankfully it doesn't stop at presentation because every single thing I tried was amazing. If I had no other reason to revisit Savannah, I would still go back, only to dine here. I will start off by saying that on the night of our dinner, there was basically a monsoon outside. So...I have a feeling they had staffing issues. So, keep that in mind, but in any case, our dinner really could have been improved and we were disappointed as we were really looking forward to dining here based on all the rave reviews. Firstly, it is an exceptionally beautiful place - they've renovated a huge historic mansion into Hotel Bardo, and they did an amazing job. It's laid out very well and has a romantic cozy vibe. Just lovely. As for everything else, at least for us on this night, it was hit or miss. The oddness began when the person who seated us told us our server would be right with us, but when he returned to check on us rather than said "server," I asked if he'd be taking care of us. He replied with a hesitant "yes," and it made us wonder if he went from food runner/host to server for the first time in that moment. My brother ordered a gimlet which was perfect, but my martini was really odd. It was sweeter than I like, and also comes with a side dish of accoutrement - salt in the bottom of the dish with a lemon peel, pickled pepper, olive and dill. Like...what am I supposed to do with that? Just choose one of those and put it in the drink. It was weird. Next, we ordered the $22 mushroom toast, which is a nice portion and tasted delicious, however, we ended up with a small pile of thyme twigs on our plate after having to pick them out. My brother learned the hard way as he bit into the toast only to be chomping down on little sticks. Not great. We were nice about it, but did point it out to our server because it just seemed like whomever took over cooking that night didn't know to take those out - thyme sticks are super woody and inedible. Again, this made us feel like something was amiss in staffing. During this course, they also sent over their burrata appetizer, which we didn't order and the food runner had to go back and check to make sure it was a "gift" from the kitchen. Ok...we'll definitely take the gift, thank you, but it was a bit of an odd dish. It's a large portion of burrata with herb oil and cucumbers, but no toast points or anything. They do come around and give diners their fresh baked bread, but we had already eaten that as we didn't know we should "save" it to go with the burrata we didn't know was coming. A bit of an awkward service all together. We then ordered one of the pasta dishes as this is an Italian restaurant, and while it sounded really good - pipe rigate verde with broccoli rabe pesto - the pasta was woefully undercooked and the sauce was super salty. Like, stick in your teeth undercooked. We honestly should have sent it back, but we don't do that, so we just didn't finish this small portion of pasta. Sad. Lastly, we had the branzino which was $50, came by itself on the plate, and was overcooked. Not too badly, but overcooked nonetheless. My brother enjoyed his fairly well, but I was disappointed. I wish I lived in the city so I could maybe give them another shot, but alas, we were only there for the weekend, and I'm not sure I'd want to return for full dinner service again. Maybe drinks and snacks or dessert because it's so beautiful here. I do hope it was just an off night. read more

While I only went to Saint Bibiana for wine (nice wine list) & oysters, I enjoyed the spot! The ambiance was fancy yet cozy, and service was both quick & very friendly. I would definitely go back to try the food at another time! All of the pastas looked delicious (especially the spicy red sauce gnocchi), and I heard rave reviews about the arancini. The oysters weren't my favorite as they came with a fruit sauce poured over them which ended up masking the flavor of the oysters themselves. If Savannah had a Vatican of flavor, Saint Bibiana would be the high priestess of pasta. From the first sip of a negroni that could make a grown man weep, to the final forkful of handmade agnolotti that whispered sweet nothings to my soul, this place delivered a religious experience in every course. The ambiance? Think candlelit confessional meets Fellini film--intimate without trying too hard, stylish without screaming about it. Service? Angelic. Our server had the timing of a Broadway pro and the menu knowledge of a sommelier turned philosopher. And the food... Lord, the food. If you told me the ricotta gnocchi was rolled by cherubs and blessed with a basil oil baptism, I'd believe you. Saint Bibiana doesn't just feed you--it converts you.
