The pricing was reasonable and the lamb was cooked perfect. I had the Falafal sandwich. I would have preferred tahini vs tzatziki but it was tasty. The Falafal was a little mushy for my palate but still good. They came with steak fries - my favorite kind of fry! We ended with the baklava. Every baklava we have ever had is different and we LOVED it. I was so full and was only going to have 1 bite, but that wasn't my story. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and helpful. She asked where we were from and recommended a few restaurants in South Florida for us to try. The restaurant can be fancy or casual - your choice. I'd avoid venturing into the experimental offerings, unless you're brave, or maybe have a more elevated taste than I. The Vidalia Onion Brûlée was the most bearable. While the texture was grossly reminiscent of a pâté (or dog food) spread onto a paper-thin slice of bread, the flavors themselves were pleasant enough. I cannot recommend the Creamy Cioppino, under any circumstances. Sadly the worst fish soup I've ever tasted. Just instant salt shock- the soup was inedible. A couple of curious friends had spoonfuls, and each had the same grimacing reaction. The steak tartare was also a miss, very over-engineered. Ambience: Noble fare small, yet there was room between the tables. Our table was in the window on Harris Street -- perfect. We could actually talk with each other without shouting. Our waiter Kelly was terrific. A professional waiter, not a bright-eyed young person waiting for their next job to come through. Good suggestions. The food. The menu changes regularly so that the meals are seasonal and fresh. We split everything -- we senior citizens don't each as much as we used to. We started with sweetbreads. They were lovely. And brought back beautiful memories of the sweetbreads we shared as an appetizer on our first date. Then a huge, lovely trout. Perfectly filleted. With a lovely sauce. And some vegetables I can't recall. And for dessert fabulous tiramisu. And various drinks and wines along with the meal. The staff was so welcoming and made some great recommendations too. Aside from the cocktails, I would say that the lobster thermidor appetizer is a must have.
