We went in on 2/17, a very cold and rainy night. Sat down and were given menus. We waited over 10 minutes in a pretty empty restaurant. Staff, young guy and girl (wearing sweats and bare midriff top) walked to and back from tables multiple times. Never once were we asked if we were ready to order even drinks. Finally one of us went up to the counter to say we were ready to order, only to be told they'd come to the table. Again we waited for at least 3 more minutes sitting in the table directly in front of staff only to be ignored! When the young man finally came to us he told us non of the soups we wanted were available. At that point after being ignored for over 15 minutes decided to leave. First and last time, and they are marketing with local food bloggers to try and get your business. Better quality choices elsewhere. Never going back. read more

My first visit and overall I'm impressed. Had the 2, rare beef pho, lots of bean sprout, basil, jalapeño. The broth was good, and it was served piping hot. Chopsticks were missing from my table, so I did have to get up and ask for some. My mom ordered food for me to pick up. It was a birthday celebration for me. When I arrived I was told they tried to call and let us know they did not have the "spices for the curry dish". This was baffling and ridiculous. To not have curry in a Thai restaurant? Not to mention they could easily purchase from the grocery store across the way. There was NO APOLOGY. I then picked up the noodle dish and the bahn mi she'd ordered. The noodle dish was pathetic. Just a small amount of vermicelli noodles, an old stale egg roll, two shrimp, and some old meat. The sandwich wasn't bad but did little to make up for not having curry (ridiculous), serving a lousy and overpriced noodle plate, and offering no apology for any of this. We're often told to support our local business, yet, this is the type of business that has me running to my local chain restaurant as to not get ripped off and have a lousy meal. One star is too generous. I would not recommend this place and from the other reviews I should have read before going, it sound like others are having the same sad and rude experience. read more

It's definitely a mom and pop but honestly very disappointing. They're unorganized. There's no uniform. 3 people that got there after me got served. My food never came I waited like 45 minutes. I'm so disappointed I had high hopes for this place. This is why I hate trying new places. Idk how it has 4 starts. I'm not a huge fan of pho, but the pho here is amazing!! They offer huge portions at an affordable price. This is going to be my go-to spot for pho. I paired it with a mango smoothie, and it was the chef's kiss. It's located in a small area in north Salinas, so it could be easy to miss but make sure to try it out! I've been coming here for a few years and have always enjoyed it but recently the food quality has taken a big dip. The last few times I've gone in the past months my orders aren't as good as I remember. It feels like they are cutting corners. The last straw for me was when I found a piece of metal string from a scrub sponge in my garlic noodles. Threw the whole thing away! The pho isnt as flavorful anymore, the food isn't cooked properly sometimes. The noodles are sometimes undercooked or the veggies are kinda raw and just the overall flavor in all the dishes I usually order are lacking. But the metal in my food was it for me, I think I'm going to give them time to hopefully fix their problems because it's not good anymore which breaks my heart because I used to love it here. read more

Food is always great, but the customer service is terrible. I've been here numerous times throughout the year and I've never experienced decent customer service here. Once the food is delivered to our table, they never check up on us or look in our direction again. We always have to flag them down for a refill, to order more food items, and the check. Best pho in 831 !!! 100% recommend the shrimp noodle soup with the chili oil so bomb. They're fast and always so sweet there.

I don't usually leave reviews but I had to for this one - service was ridiculous. Came in on a 30 minute lunch break, ordered a single order of spring rolls. Nothing else. I don't know how they messed it up this bad but I never got them. I waited 25 minutes and made myself late for work, but they still never came. There was barely anyone even in the shop, it's not like they were busy. I had to go back to work hungry and very angry at how poorly this place was ran. Second time visiting this place doesn't disappoint! We started with Wonton Noodle Soup which was a large Portion! The soup was super warm and tasty definitely hit that day since it was a rainy day. The dining room has reopened and COVID19 precautions are in place. Saigon Noodles has a terrific array of offerings and everything I've had here has been delicious. Today I had the child's portion (the adult portion is huge)of their vegetable Pho. I also enjoyed a tofu Bánh mì and it was clearly one of the best I've had! First of all, "hot tea" was cold ‍ waitress was able to provide actual hot tea when we informed them. Stir fried rice noodles were a little chewy and sauce was a little sweet, it was "ok". The # 16 combo plate ALWAYS comes with 2 pork chops, 2 shrimp, 2 chicken wings, a full container of rice, a long and full eggroll and lettuce cups with dressing. TONIGHT, we only received ONE of each item, a short egg roll and half the rice too plus shredded lettuce not cups. The price went up, so I am confused and upset by their cutting orders in half!!! Yeah, this is a small update. So the food remains unchanged, thats good. The service is still pleasant, alright. So what's bugging me? Cleanliness, the floors...I'm sliding from a layer of grease or something. Check the sidewalk just outside the front door, it's black. That's from the inside out, not outside in. The windows are nasty, grab a buck from your tip jar, go next door to the Dollar Tree buy yourselves a bottle of glass cleaner. Do us all a favor and clean that door handle. will never come back. please read if you're thinking about eating at this establishment. the customer service needs major improvement. they all seem like they don't wanna work at the job they applied for. we ordered appetizers and we never received them. my friend asked for a glass of water and the server brought a almost empty glass of water with 2 melted ice cubes.. our food was cold. i got the chicken pho, my chicken was raw and the noddles were hard. my sister got vermicelli noodles her plate was basically empty. our friends didn't get their food until 10 minutes later and as we were about to eat we saw they're lovely decorations; roaches. there was roaches on the wall and in the silverware. once we mentioned it to a server they walked away and didn't say anything until my sister got up and told a server nearby and even then they didn't say anything all they said was "not again".. i'm assuming there's been multiple complaints about roaches but nothing has been done about it. we paid for our drinks but not our food as we didn't even eat anything after seeing the roaches but hey if you guys don't mind the roaches go ahead and eat here you get extra protein for free! read more

We ordered takeout and got the fried chicken wings, papaya salad with mango and shrimp, and the fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls. The food was ready when I arrived 20 minutes later and staff were very friendly. That said, the food was okay and nothing special. Papaya salad: 4/5 - sauce was tasty and light. This was by far the best dish we got. Chicken wings: 3/5: Cook on wings was okay but there wasn't much in the way of seasoning. The sweet fish sauce accompanying the wings helped. Spring Rolls: 3/5 Also picked up a jar of the house made chili oil for $5 and it tasted pretty good. read more
