Ordered pho, shaking beef, banh xeo, and others that I could not remember. Their pho was good, big portion and full of meat. Unfortunately the sirloin was overcooked and the other parts of the meat have too much fats in them, so it was down on the score. Their shaking beef was also meh, very thin and overly sweet, probably not their strongest dish. Banh xeo was full of meat and fillings, but not particularly crispy. All in all, it was tasty but only lacking a bit here and there. Their service was pretty good though. Their restaurants are also huge, which is a plus.

From the moment I walked in, the service began with a bad start. The staff were chatting and joking behind the counter and too distracted to notice me. I had to grab a menu myself and ask in a loud tone if I could sit anywhere just to get their attention. Once seated, it took nearly 10 minutes for a server to come by. I ordered a boba drink and pho with brisket. The server returned after another 8 minutes to say they were out of both the boba flavor I wanted and the brisket. After I reordered, the replacement boba arrived extremely sweet -- basically tasted like watered-down sugar syrup with almost no tea flavor. The pho was even more disappointing.. the broth was watery and bland, there was very little beef, and the bowl was light on noodles and toppings. It felt like a shadow of what they used to serve. It's sad to see a spot that was once one of the best pho places in Salinas (in my opinion) decline this sharply. The restaurant was unusually empty, and the few other customers looked just as unimpressed. I understand rising food and restaurant operating costs, but cutting quality this much will only drive more people away. I rarely leave negative reviews and I don't consider myself to be such a picky eater, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. I'm not sure I'll be back.

Simply put -- I'd come again…read more Came here craving noodles and ended up really enjoying the boba and wings too. My partner and I were seated quickly on a Sunday afternoon, which was a nice start. The ambiance is casual and relaxed -- nothing fancy, but clean, comfortable, and perfect for a laid-back meal. I ordered the BBQ pork and shrimp vermicelli noodles plus the spicy chicken wings as an appetizer -- both were delicious. Honestly, I would've ordered another round of wings if my noodles hadn't come out so fast. The vermicelli bowl was packed with flavor, and I really loved the sauces mixed in. My partner's pho was also really good, so that's another win. Plenty of seating for a hole-in-the-wall spot, with lots of parking which is always a plus. Prices felt fair for everything we ordered. And don't sleep on the boba menu -- the drinks were surprisingly good for the area. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Marina and in the mood for noodles!

Got here at 6:15 on a Sunday and there was a line and crowded with people already eating inside. Put our name on the waitlist and she said about 15 minute wait. We got called for our table within 15 mins! I ordered the regular size 5 Spice Chicken Bowl and a Vietnamese Coffee and hubby ordered the regular size Pho Combination Soup. Lots of variety from the menu. Our server was very nice. Even asked if peanuts were okay in the 5 Spice Chicken? The food was served piping hot and considering it was so crowded; especially lots of to go orders our food came quite fast. Everything was excellent and tasty, clean atmosphere and service is quick and friendly. Nice "hole in the wall" Vietnamese restaurant find for our visit here.

Noodles were cooked perfectly, and the steak was tender with no complaints at all, just a really solid bowl of pho. The spring rolls were fresh and well-made, paired nicely with the peanut sauce. Simple but done right. Tried bun bo hue for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The spicy lemongrass broth had great depth without being too heavy or overly citrusy. Loved the mix of beef and pork, it made the dish feel hearty but still balanced. Only minor downside was the noodles, I personally prefer thinner ones, but that's just preference. Overall, everything was great. I was feeling a bit under the weather, and this meal definitely helped, light, comforting, and satisfying. Service was fast, the restaurant was clean, and it had a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

The service also feels unwelcoming at times, particularly from the owner lady, which seems reflected in the frequent changes in wait staff. I'd love to keep supporting the business for the food, but the overall experience has become too hit-or-miss to return.

9.5/10 Absolutely…read moreamazing, hands down the best Thai food in Salinas! We ordered the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Nam Sai, and every dish hit in its own way. Starting with the Pad Thai, we ordered it with beef and it was easily the star of the meal. Perfectly cooked soft noodles with a savory, slightly sweet sauce that was incredibly well balanced. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the addition of diced nuts added a great crunch and texture that tied everything together beautifully. The Panang Curry was also excellent. Rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It came with chicken, green beans, and bell peppers, all of which tasted fresh and perfectly cooked with a nice bite. The curry sauce was smooth and comforting, soaking into the dish incredibly well. A must-order for curry lovers. Lastly, the Nam Sai reminded us a lot of pho. On its own, it was a bit light and lacked salt, but once we added our own seasonings, it really came alive. After adjusting it to taste, it was delicious, comforting, and perfect for warming up. Service was fast and efficient, and the restaurant was clean and well kept. The ambiance was beautiful. A very nice, welcoming spot to enjoy a meal.

We've eaten here multiple times, but this time left disappointed…read more. We were sat quickly and given menus, but took our waiter quite some time to come get orders which included drinks/order together. I was in the mood for soup and had their Tom Kha a few times so originally thought about ordering that, but decided to try their Tiew Tom Yum. Mistake. My guy ordered the pork Pad Thai, and we also shared a Thai fried rice. We ordered tea, but the waiter forgot the sugar caddy we requested and didnt see him until the food arrived about 20 or so minutes later. We had some requests for side items, etc and he brought everything immediately, but didnt come back to check on us until quite some time where I had almost decided my fate of struggling through my horrible soup. It was the most sour of sour soups I've ever had. Neither one of liked it. When the waiter came around and asked about our meals expressed how much I didn't care for it, and the sour was off putting. He offered the coconut soup, which I believed was Tom Kha. When the soup was dropped off I asked for a to go container as we were done with the rest of our meals almost at that point. Again, that soup came out with an overwhelming sour flavor. Thankfully the Thai rice was delicious, so I ate the rest of that. We didnt see our server again until we were standing up ready to walk up to the front as he was the only server running around, and had one table in the place. I brought up the fact that that soup did not taste like Tom Kha, was it a different version of coconut soup? He asked the cook and she said was the same as Tom Kha. At this point we were tired and decided to go, deciding not to come back for soup ever again. Possibly, not to return in general as were irritated. Our server wasn't horrible, was very polite and was running around, however as so many servers tend to do had a one track mind only focusing on one table at a time instead of circulating his section. As a patron I don't feel like you should ever wait so long to get the check and cash out or not be checked in on more frequently.
