My mother went here and raved about it so I had to try because she is a hard person to appease. When we arrived we were seated promptly. The decor is so nice, but the floors were very slippery we started off with our favorite beer Asahi, they do have a drink list but we had already reached our limit. For appetizers we had the pork and chive dumplings and spring rolls, they came out very fast and were fresh and hot. The spring rolls were delicious, with the sauce you dunk in it was very tasty. I had the Bún Chả Giò Thịt Nướng which is grilled pork, chicken in some very flavorful soup with vermicelli noodles and spring rolls. My friend had some pho, and she enjoyed it but stated it was very spicy. I would definitely go back and try something else.
Food was good but something was missing with the pho. Maybe because the last place I tried left a lot to live up to. Service was fast and ambiance was spot on.
When I say that this was some of the best pho I've ever had, I mean it! I'm very picky when it comes to pho and other soups. Usually I have to add a lot of spices, seasonings, and sauces to pho - but not this one! It didn't need anything! The broth was just that flavorful! I was honestly blown away! The staff were also super friendly and helpful and the service was great. They told me that they've only been open for four months. The decor was very authentic and beautiful. The restaurant was nice and clean. Very relaxing and charming.
My first time at Saigon Kitchen in downtown Raleigh! The pho broth is light and perfectly herby, and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. I was impressed by the generous amount of noodles and meat, especially the brisket, which was incredibly tender. It's so great to finally have a decent spot for authentic pho in downtown!
Saigon Kitchen is a Vietnamese restaurant with an elevated dining experience. Upon entrance, I was worried it would be catered toward an American taste palate as most Vietnamese restaurants I have been to have a more casual interior, but this place had a more upscale look. The servers were attentive and friendly, although our appetizer came out much later after our entrees. I got the Vietnamese Shrimp Garlic Noodles and Cha Gio. I was disappointed by the Vietnamese Shrimp Garlic Noodles as I was expecting more of an umami taste instead of a sweet taste. I could not even taste the garlic in this dish, which confused me due to the name of the dish. The Cha Gio with pork and shrimp was good, but I thought it could have been better seasoned inside. I tried the broth from the House Special Pho and Bun Bo Hue and it tasted super good! The lemongrass flavor popped out in the Bun Bo Hue. My friends also ordered some coffees which were strong but tasty. Overall, I would come back to try the noodle soups and drinks as that seems to be where most of the flavor is in their dishes. If I could, I would probably rate this a 3.5/5 stars just based on the food I ordered. I think it is a little pricey, but it is located in downtown Raleigh so it makes sense.
Was visiting Raleigh and wanted to try the Vietnamese food here, as it's not as easy to get here. Ordered the Phở Tái and Soda Chanh. Food was good, broth had a pretty authentic flavor. It was flavorful and had the right balance, not too oily. However, the beef itself was a bit tough and thick, not like how it usually is with this dish. The food took an hour and 15 mimutes to come out, and it wasn't too busy of a night, so be aware of that. Servers were very nice and the place had a nice atmosphere!
Delicious food! The broth was delicious. What stood out the most was the excellent service. We were routinely checked up on by multiple people with such warm hospitality and generosity. However, the wait for our food was incredibly long.. not just for us, but for other people in our section as well. It could be just because it was a busy night, but our food didn't come out until a little more than an hour after we ordered. Great food, but prepare to sit down for a while if it's busy!
To have some of the best pho I've had and it was through delivery which is pretty amazing. The broth had great flavors and tons of steak added. There was also plenty of herbs and veg and it was delivered in a cardboard bowl that made it easy to make and heat up.

The appetizers were sizable but also noted it was on the pricier side for two pieces per dish. I haven't seen Bun Bo Hue on the menu at most Vietnamese restaurants in the area so when I saw it I knew that I had to order it and it did not disappoint! The portion was generous and the broth was flavorful and comforting. Overall, very satisfied with food and experience but could probably skip the appetizers next time.
I'm not sure how I felt about this spot. Let's start with the good things. The portion sizes are very large and I thought the pho broth was very flavorful. The food came out quickly as well. The interior decoration of the restaurant is also nice! Some aspects I was less sure about food wise was the rare beef I got in my Bun Bo Hue. It was very cooked through so the meat was chewy. The pho broth while flavorful, also had a much stronger herbal flavor than I was used to, which may not be for everyone. I was indifferent about it. Not our waiter, but the host that sat us was very nice, but we received two different menus. One was the lunch special and the other was their normal menu so it created some confusion. He also stood behind me while I was looking at the menu but eventually moved away and gave me time to decide what I wanted.
Saigon Kitchen was exactly what we were looking for in Vietnamese food! I ordered the pork belly fried rice, my friend ordered the curry coconut shrimp and noodle soup. We also ordered the pork belly banh mi to split. The fried rice was a 10/10! Flavor galore. The soup was also 10/10 if you're into all of those flavors together. This was my first time trying banh mi but my friend has it before and we both didn't enjoy it. It seemed like the bork belly should have been cooked longer (it was like ham) but I also don't know if that's how it's prepared since I've never had it (this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). We both got several drinks as well that tasted amazing. The service was attentive and prompt although we were only one of two parties in the restaurant. They were very friendly and answered all of our questions. The space is very beautiful and has an upscale chic vibe while still being cozy. I would definitely go back and really enjoyed my experience
This place is way over priced for Vietnamese food. I never spent so much on pho unless it had the beef rib in it, but they sold out before dinner so couldn't even try it. Had the vermicelli with beef? 22? Why? Not to mention they forgot to add fish sauce and the waiter told me they already added it? But it's suppose to be on the side? So it can be customized by the consumers taste? But they gave me a side of eggroll dipping sauce. Waiter was nice to get me some but it wasn't there. Meat was tender. Atmosphere is nice but this some Americanized Asian food.
Very yummy! I think they decorated very nicely here with the vibrant lanterns. My parents approve of this place and theyre hard to impress as Vietnamese immigrants! Service was super nice!! Everyone we interacted with were kind from start to finish.

This spot is on South Blount Street. Tucked away, but it is so neat. We went for dinner so it was very dimly lit. It has a nice bar and tables and booth seating. We got the crispy eggs rolls which came out hot and they did not disappoint. They were so good and very crispy. Also the pork and chive dumplings were good. I think the sauce that came with the dumplings was better than that that came with the egg rolls. For the main course I got the Bun Bo Hu, I love this, so I thought I would give their version a try. Now I like spicy and Ive had it at other restaurants but be warned this is spicy and they don't tell you just how much. I could not finish it. I bough it home and added to it and it was still hot. My girlfriend tried something different and got the grilled pork Vermicelli. this came with a side of vegetables, carrots, and radish. It was pretty good. It is different. I'll stick to Pho and soup though just not for me personally but she liked it. I think some of the wait staff does not speak great English so there is a bit of a language barrier. And one of the wait staff was talking so fast we felt a bit rushed so we just had to say give us a minuet and ordered an appetizer and drinks to try to slow things down. They do have some nice mints at the front door, Ginger mints so grab one or two on the way out. All and all I thin I will give them another try and see if I'm able to give them 5 stars. read more
It's located in downtown Raleigh and close to numerous parking garages. The service was friendly, they use paper menus and the menu was pretty dirty. I recommend throwing away the paper when it gets dirty. The bao bun was okay, not very flavorful and overpriced. I ordered the beef lemongrass vermicelli. Nice flavor and good portion size. read more

The food was amazing as was the service. Bob, our server (12 women table) was really on point. We kept him running and he did a great job. The drinks were also very good. The ambiance was cool for a birthday dinner. They really made the occasion special. Will definitely go back with my husband real soon. read more

An exciting new addition to the downtown Raleigh food scene! This place was delicious and service was fantastic. I went for a late Sunday lunch and the place was packed, but the staff were so friendly & welcoming. Service is definitely their strong suit as I heard many others comment the same. Atmosphere was cheerful and energizing. The food came out quick & was delicious. I highly recommend getting one of the traditional Vietnamese iced coffees, which had a strong, rich flavor that grew on me the more I drank it. I also got a pork Pho, which had perfectly soft noodles and tender pork, plus a huge plate of aromatic herbs and toppings. The broth was absolutely delicious. Menu had a variety of delicious offerings - can't wait to go back for more! read more

We went for lunch and everything was so good. Pho was spot on. You can tell they use bones for the broth. The sizzling steak is also awesome. Their pate is so good. We also have the pork vermicelli. I have never had this before in States. The broth that comes with the vermicelli is spot on. Overall everything is so good. The only thing that is OK is the Thai tea but it is still good. It is just that the food is so so good. read more

Super vibey atmosphere, servers on point, and the pho is phenomenal especially for Raleigh , more stewey n rich flavorful broth, nice cuts of meat quality is supreme, don't forget to ass their house made chili oil looks like it has fried onions in it super id def come back around read more
