Pork Banhmi - Viet Street Sub- Sandwich
Joshua L.

Bee Banh Mi is a quick, cute counter-service Vietnamese cafe. Sparse and simple inside. Staff was friendly and ordering was easy. I had the grilled pork Banh Mi. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. Bread was flaky with a chewy texture. Not the most traditional or authentic Banh Mi I've ever had, but it hit the spot for a quick lunch. Not quite a 5-star experience overall. But a very solid 4+. I will definitely be back for some pho and look forward to updating my review soon.

The banh mis are now my go to healthy and quick meal, literally so good!!! I got the pork banh mi and I knew it was going to be good as soon as I opened the box. Packed with veggies and meat, this is a well balanced sandwich with bright flavors in each bite. This is a chill local spot with plenty of seating inside and would be great for a casual dinner or lunch.

Bee Banh Mi is a very solid Vietnamese option with some fantastic food. Tucked away in a strip mall that is just off of the main road, this place seems to be a bit of a hidden gem. I mean, if I didn't know this restaurant existed, then I'd have no reason to ever travel down the side road that this place is on. But it is definitely worth it, they've got some great options and an item that you wouldn't expect to be amazing. As their name would suggest, Bee Banh Mi does a pretty decent job with their Banh Mi. I order the pork Banh Mi and it was a pretty hefty sandwich, but was well put together. The texture balance was spot on, the bread was crisp and not too soggy on the inside. The vegetables were fresh and had a nice crunch to them and the meat was tender. The flavors were also complimentary of each other. The pickled veggies countered the fattiness of the pork and the pork itself could be individually identified and had a nice bit of spice to it. I've also had their rice plate with pork. It came with a salad and some fish sauce. I think it was a pretty good dish, but the Banh Mi is a better bang for your buck. Something about taking a bite of different textures in flavors just resonates more with me. However, Bee Banh Mi's big surprise isn't a Vietnamese item, it is their french fries, particularly their chipotle dipping sauce. This side dish has a bit of a cult following, at least, among my group of friends. Sometimes they just come here to order a few orders of their fries, it is simply that good. Not only are they seasoned heavily, but the sauce is top tier. It's got a hint of sweetness with a bit of flare. I think it's better than my favorite Zaxby's dipping sauce or even Canes Sauce. It's crazy to think I am even raving this much about a french fry. As much as I think Bee Banh Mi makes great food, I think I don't come out here as often because their hours can be so unpredictable. I had an event here once and I drive out to find out the restaurant was just closed. On another instance, it seemed as if they were closing early so we weren't able to get the full representation of the business. Despite this, the few times I have been able to pull up, I've been treated to some delicious food and a good experience. I hope others can find this hidden spot!

I stopped by Bee Banh Mi for the first time recently, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a small, casual spot in a strip mall, with bright yellow walls and cute bee-themed decor that really leans into the name. I ordered the pork banh mi--figured I had to try the namesake--and it hit the spot. The baguette was crispy, the pork was flavorful, and the pickled carrots added a nice tang that balanced everything out. For just $8, it felt like a great deal. Quick service & solid food--I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

Tofu Banhmi - Viet Street Sub- Sandwich Thai Tea

Tofu on the tofu banh mi could use some salt or seasoning, but the bread was really good. Also great thai tea!

Tofu banh mi lunch special

A trip to this nondescript shopping center yielded a fresh and delicious lunch. The fries weren't quite as special as the other reviews seemed to suggest, but they were still fries and I was hungry. My banh mi with tofu was available with a garlic chili sauce for no extra charge, which was fantastic. A Thai tea was ample. And frankly, I still can't believe how good the price was for that lunch special. I had this place on my list for a while and hadn't made it because they weren't open Sundays, but if you're looking for lunch on a weekday, this is quality stuff.

Came for the Yelp Elite event and I am SO happy I was able to attend. I ordered the pork Banh Mi with a side of fries and a Thai tea. First, let's start with the inside. Super cute and cozy seating. There is a kiosk you can order from or there was someone present to take your order as well. I loved the Bee Decor! Adds some flare to the restaurant forsure. I had no trouble finding parking and they also had some outdoor seating available for a nice day. Ok, let's get to the food. I'm not sure if it was the owner I met, but he was very nice! He said he prepared my food for me and that I was going to experience a lot of flavors in this meal. And let me tell you, he did not LIE. The sandwich itself was so flavorful. Idk what they marinated that pork in, but kudos to them for doing so. The sandwich was topped with jalapeño, carrots, cilantro and pickled cucumber? We aren't sure what it was, but does that really matter when we devoured it? Not really. The fries were seasoned to perfection without being salty. It is very hard to achieve this. Another head nod. Also, the sauce is very much giving 'can I order a larger batch of it next time?' Because it is DELICIOUS. It's sweet with a variety of flavors we couldn't pinpoint, but once again, devoured. The Thai tea was also delicious. I truly had no complaints with this meal. My man had some and asked when are we going back lol. There were many other things to order besides the sandwich as well. Lots of options to choose from. So I definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Bee Banh Mi is pretty good. It seems like a little bit of a twist on authentic Vietnamese, and I love authentic Vietnamese food. The Thai tea was phenomenal-a perfect sweetness. The grilled pork noodle salad is a delicious option. I love that Bee Banh Mi is in this area since there aren't any other Vietnamese restaurants close by. Also, the employees are very friendly and parking is a piece of cake!

Previous gave this place 4 stars but completely disappointed on my current visit. Ordered their iced tea and they served it 3/4th full. Previously, they used to fill the cup. Very disappointed.

Fresh, quick, and nutritious modern Vietnamese cuisine. Order online, via phone, or at the counter for dine-in or takeout. I ordered takeout from the counter. Either the cashier takes the order or you can use the ordering tablet. I chose the steak pho and summer rolls. My order was accurate and ready in under 10 minutes. Since I stopped here for lunch, the quick turn around was very convenient. Plus everything looked fresh and tasted great. Definitely wished I ordered 2 pairs of rolls since they were crunchy and delicious with the accompanying peanut sauce. Overall, recommended place for a nutritious lunch!

Fresh and delicious

It photographs beautifully. Unfortunately, restaurants aren't judged on lighting. We ordered everything upfront: Banh Xeo (explicitly no shrimp due to a shellfish allergy), Cha Gio, Pho Tai, and the Chef Special. Somehow, not everything was entered correctly. The Banh Xeo arrived covered in shrimp. Allergy clearly stated. It was sent back immediately. We were told they could remake it, but it would "take a while because it takes a long time to make." Banh Xeo takes under 10 minutes in a properly run kitchen. We declined and assumed the rest of our meal would arrive promptly. It didn't. The egg rolls weren't just fried, they were fully baptized in oil. One bite and it felt like chewing on a sponge that lost a fight with the fryer. Then we watched tables seated at least 15 minutes after us receive their food before we did. When we asked about the remainder of our order, we were told it had "just been added" and would take a while. Pho taking 35+ minutes in a Vietnamese restaurant isn't high volume. It's disorganization. The Chef Special was decent. The pho, which should be the backbone of the menu, was underwhelming. Several tables around us had incorrect orders or long delays. The owner circulated, but instead of urgency or accountability, the energy felt inconvenienced. Here's the reality: great atmosphere can draw people in once. Food and leadership bring them back. If you're going because it looks trendy and buzzing, go in with eyes open. The aesthetic might be the star of the room, but the food should be.

Delicious!! This was…read moremy first time having ramen, and my friend suggested we go here, and I'm so glad we did! Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! The short rib ramen was good, but the noodles were short, like they were cut or made short on purpose. The shrimp shumai was disappointing. Small bite sized portions, but they were soft. After cutting into one, I found out that they use rice as a filler with a bit of shrimp. I've never seen rice used in shumai, unless it's Shanghai sticky rice shumai. Also got a unagi don togo, it was good, just a bit small on the portion of eel, but it's hard to mess up an unagi don.

There's a sign noting that food may take time (this isn't fast food), but everything came out in a reasonable timeframe and in the right order: drinks, appetizers, then entrées. We even witnessed the staff handle a very rude customer with impressive kindness and professionalism. The restaurant is simple and spacious, and we had plenty of room for our mobility devices without feeling in the way, which we really appreciated. We ordered the salty lemonade, strawberry shake with boba, rice cake appetizer, meatball pho, and combination fried rice. With tip, the total came to about $80 for two people. Overall, the food was good, though the pho left a bit to be desired. There was a slight sweetness or something missing from the broth, and the noodles absorbed a lot of liquid in the leftovers. It wasn't the best pho I've had, but not the worst -- the search for the best pho in the Triangle continues. My husband loved the fried rice and finished it entirely. The menu is extensive, so I'll try something different next time. We'll likely return since it's close to our apartment and there's plenty more to explore on the menu.

We were seated right away, the server was super fun and friendly. There are for sure regulars that come here. The server knew a lot of people by name, for pick up orders and sitting inside. I however had the combination and bbq chicken Banh mi Sandwiches and the shrimp spring rolls. The spring roll was crispy on the outside but still frozen on the inside. They remade it and the outside tasted like burnt oil and the inside was still cold. The Banh mi Sandwiches were full of super fresh veggies, I loved that! The downside is the combination one had no Mayo so I had to ask for some. The other downside was that the bbq chicken one had no sauce at all and very little chicken. Again, the veggies were really crunchy and fresh which I loved. Overall I would for sure go back for the Pho, it was delicious. One of the best broths I've had at a Pho spot.

In the back, I did see after ordering a few without their masks on (if that's something you need to take in consideration, then take as needed). They woman that took my order, washed her hands and gave me a menu. She wanted to know if there was anything in particular I was looking for and if I would be dinning in or take out (if you do take-out, they ask that you make your order and then return to your car to await for the food). I explained I just wanted something to go and from there I looked over the menu. When I asked about how some of the items were prepared, she quickly explained and never gave any attitude or anything about my many questions. From my questions, she gathered that I wanted something along the lines of vegetarian and suggested about four different dishes that I might like. Since I wasn't tooooo hungry, I went with the Nem Chay Cuốn Bbq Vegi Spring Rolls (2): Soft rice paper wrapped around bbq Vegi, & lettuce, served with house special sauce. Total: $5.41 What a treat! These were so fresh and tasty! Great mixture of herbs, noodles, and tofu. Nothing was too overwhelming - all just right! The dipping sauce!!?! I could drink it (well, maybe just use it on MORE rolls!). From what I gathered from my visit, it was a good spot for something simple. I do have friend that comes here every time they come to town to order their shrimp fried rice - they state it is amazing.
