Great food and drinks!! Back when they closed early, the owner took my order 30 min after the restaurant closed and let me pick it up... that's amazing service! They extended to 10pm now :) ambience is great, lots of natural lighting and places to take pictures if that's your thing! Get the pandan drinks, so good!

THE BEST VIETNAMESE SANDWICH SHOP @saigonbites_renfrew is the new Saigon Bites location in Vancouver that will be grand opening tomorrow on Sunday, July 28. They literally make some of the best Banh Mi in town, and will be giving them away for FREE to their first 50 customers at the new Renfew location tomorrow. Doors open at 9am so make sure you guys get there early to snag your free sandwich! Saigon Bites is owned and managed by the loveliest families, and they are super passionate about recreating the authentic flavours of Saigon in their food. They even make their Pâté, pickled veggies, and chili sauce in-house which gives each bite a flavour unique to their shop. They also released new menu items like Vermicelli Bowl and Sticky Rice Bowls that are loaded with your choice of protein, their house made Pâté, and Vietnamese mayo. The Vietnamese coffees here are also a must-try; You'll be able to find one of the best Egg Coffee's in town, as well as Ube Lattes, Pandan Coffee, and even bubble teas! Saigon Bites Deluxe 10/10 This is the sandwich for you if you want a bit of everything. Loaded with Vietnamese hams, meatballs pâté, pickled veggies, and more! Egg Lover 10/10 This was probably the most unique Banh Mi I've tried--egg whites, and house made pâté are literally a match made in heaven. And this is the perfect sandwich for anyone looking for a lighter meal without sacrificing on flavour Chicken Sticky Rice 10/10 The sticky rice was covered in their signature pâté, Vietnamese mayo, and pork floss. I chose to top mine off with their lemongrass chicken which was chefs kisses. This dish also comes with a side of their house made chili sauce which was so flavourful and not too spicy. Egg Coffee 10/10 Strong, creamy, not too sweet Ube Latte 10/10 Not too sweet, less bitter, fragrant ube flavour 10/10 ‍10/10 $ (approx. $10-$15/person) Saigon Bites |Multiple locations

After having an early dim sum in Richmond and driving along Kingsway, saw this new place opened up and the name caught my attention so decided to park the car and check it out. I believe this place used to be a BBT place, located on the same block as Grandma Liu's hotpot and CoCo bbt, street parking is available but limited. The staffs greeted us with a warm welcome when we entered and kindly informed us that they are having a soft opening and there's a 15% off. The place was clean and bright with a simple trendy look and a causal ambiance. Here were what we ordered; 1. Pandan coffee. I really enjoyed the rich coffee taste and the pandan flavour was quite noticeable plus it actually looked nice to drink. I think it's one of the better pandan drink I tried so far. However, I personally would like it even more if it were less ice cause I would hate to have too much ice watering down the nice flavour and quality on a hot day. 2. Ube coffee. Nice and flavourful, it tasted as good as it looked. but just like the other drink, a little less ice would be great. 3. Bubble waffle. It tasted decent but missing that little light chew to it that I like; a bit too crunchy like a thin crisp cracker to me. Overall, It's a nice little place; the service was very friendly and welcoming. And the drinks were rich, tasty and pleasing to look at. Definitely one of the better Vietnamese cafe for coffee and drinks. Plus the owner here was very welcoming and open to feedbacks to see what is needed to improve on so that's a good business attitude to have unlike a Vietnamese Cambodian noodle place that opened up recently in Vancouver; the owner there is simply arrogant and doesn't understand business 101. I would definitely go back and try other drinks and the banh mi at this place and wish this business much success. Definitely recommended this place a try if you enjoy good drinks and good service.

Meat balls and house special banhmi, egg coffee and mango slush!

Not open at 8 AM (Saturday), per the operating hours listed on Yelp and Google. We went at 8:37 AM and the store was closed.

Ube Latte with Cold Foam Rich, nutty sweetness of purple yam blended with creamy espresso, finished with a silky layer of cold foam. Cherry blossom matcha with cotton candy has so instagram-worthy presentation! Not only it looks pretty, but alsoit tasted great! Strawberry puree and matcha paired so well. Ube latte with cold foam was good, too. Their espresso stood out and ube flavor came through later. I really liked their espresso which was strong and bold. Ube foam was very tasty. I really liked this item. Service was extremely good and friendly. I will revisit this place and would like to try different item next time

Plenty of seats for small groups and big groups. High ceilings make the location feel spacious. And it was busy with a lot of people. I think if I'm going to hang out with people, coffee loft would be a great spot. However, I don't think the coffee and pastries are particularly good. But of course, I'm a bit biased since these are the things I look for in coffee shops: the coffee. It's not bad. It's just okay. So in short, I think if you're looking for a place to hang, Coffee Loft is great! If you're looking for coffee or pastries, there are other places. Still worth visiting though!

This cafe merits repeat visits as I have enjoyed every item I ordered here. We especially liked their savory items such as breakfast sandwiches and the roast beef melt! Unfortunately, the lobster melt is no longer available on the menu or that would be my favourite. Bastion is a popular place for coffee drinkers to work on their laptops here, because there are outlets available by the round table area that looks into the gym. Service is quite efficient and they even offer free coffee grounds for your gardens when available. Hours of operation are great here, as it opens early and continues till dinner time. Lots of free parking available, though the community centre parking lot can get busy. In short, Bastion is a great coffee shop - whether you are here to catch up with friends over coffee or to stop by for a protein drink after workout or to grab a light meal to go or to simply sit down and enjoy some pastry for your sugar cravings...Bastion Coffee Kitchen won't disappoint!

I ordered the roast beef melt sandwich which is their signature and popular item. Well deserved! It's flavorful and the beef is very soft. You can bite through it easily and there's no dryness at all. It's great if you prefer softer food or teeth are not strong. Lots of tables and seating area. It only got crowded when people sat around waiting for their fitness class. The only drawback was the parking. It was almost full! I was lucky to find a spot round the corner. I sure didn't expect it to be so busy. Reminded me of the busy parking lot at Hillcrest CC in Vancouver. Maybe I was there when there were many fitness classes or activities then. Good place to have a bite or coffee after your workout or to meet friends.

Over the past year and a bit this has become one of our favourite breakfast places. But it is more…read morethan just a place for breakfast or brunch. It is also a fantastic spot to work if you wanna have a café setting because their pastries and bake goods are absolutely fantastic. In fact last year for Christmas, we bought one of their Christmas cake options which proved to be super popular with the family. What I love about this location is the decor. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. If you are going to be there on the weekend arrive before 9 AM. People start lining up at 10 to 15 minutes before the store officially opens. Plus I find is easier to take the street parking rather than playing with Faith trying to back out with customers who are not paying attention.

I did get a spoonful of the glorious whipped cream on top of my daughter's mango croissant. $8.50 Heaven. We thought it was worth every penny! The only gluten free item they offered on this day was a chocolate walnut brownie. Rich and pretty satisfying! We didn't mind a bit waiting for our specialty lattes but the flavors were underwhelming. Snow Velvet Latte $6.20 Double shot espresso, regular milk, vanilla syrup, velvet cream, cocoa dusting. My iced 16 ozs dark chocolate mocha was also not a memorable one. In spite of the unsatisfying lattes and lack of GF items, I'm still fond of the energy that fills in this cafe so I'll probably return.
