I stopped by recently to try this coffee shop. It has an industrial vibe. You enter and walk towards the middle of the shop where you place your order. They have seating available at the entrance and in the back of the shop. They have several tables. There were several people tbere working and/or enjoying coffee and matcha. The barista was friendly and recommended that I try the Spring Fling. They also had lemon bars in the front pastry case. The latte had unfiltered honey and lavender syrup. The drink was good. I recently tried Saguaro's blueberry Matcha and Café de Olla for the first time and I was genuinely impressed. Everything was delicious! My personal favorite was the Blueberry Matcha it had the perfect balance of flavor and was incredibly refreshing. The Café de Olla was just as enjoyable. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the coffee shop has a warm inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and smile from the front cashier. She was very nice and recommended a few drinks to me, they all looked amazing. I decided to go with berry bloom as I have been getting into matcha recently. It was amazing and looked beautiful as well. The space inside is giant. It would be perfect to work here and also a bunch of areas to charge your computer. Hopefully I will be back here soon to try all the unique drinks. Great selection and super clean coffee shop. Very minimalist but neat. Love their summer menu and their new bagels. Super delicious and have tried their plain bagels as well! Got the medium iced matcha latte with no sweetener and was surprised at how weak the matcha flavor was. Not sure if the amount of matcha they use for the small and medium are the same. Been here a couple of times and their coffee is always good! We ordered Las Palmas Latte, Cafe de Olla Latte and a orange cranberry muffin. Las Palmas latte is the perfect amount of sweetness for me and the added cream top tops it off. Theres always a good amount of seating area when I go, and tables decorated with some kind of flowers. Service is great and quick. Only thing thay can throw someone off is when you enter is all the plastic trash cans (brand new I assume) and construction (lack of better words) stuff on the sidelines. What a gem! If you're in the mood for some coffee or matcha while on the way to LA or Arizona, definitely check out this family owned coffee spot. They have been opened since October and have such a good array of coffee/matcha selections. They have seating areas in the front and more chairs/tables in the back. The aesthetic is very warm and inviting. I tried their matcha with oat milk and it was so creamy. I finished that one quick and got the cafe de olla one too. Very friendly service! The ambiance is clean and simple yet welcoming and cool. I had the banana matcha with vanilla cold foam and it was delicious. My friend tried a pistachio latte and it was very good too. We also had a jalapeño cheese bagel with turkey and chipotle cream cheese and it hit the spot. My friend had a pastry that was also fresh and delicious. It was nice place obviously still being worked on/under construction but seems to be coming along. Wonderful coffee and bagels! I have no complaint about the quality of the product or the service. So why not five stars? That shall be the focus of my rant today. Lol! I have been loyal to Everbloom Coffee which I also recommend. However, when I heard Saguaro was opening. I was excited because I assumed they would have better hours than Everbloom. Much to my surprise the two coffee shops have the exact same limited hours. Thete must be a method to this madness, but to me 7 AM is a tad too late for the workday. And closing at 4 PM on a Friday and Saturday seems to be missed opportunities. In addition, in the downtown area that is growing I would have thought there would be open mic nights and poetry slams and something to go with that new old town downtown Indio vibe. Seems like missed opportunities. So we have two excellent coffee shops in Indio yet no place in Indioto get coffee before 7am or after 4 PM. Lame! Stopped in for a coffee on our self led "Desert Crawl". The staff is very welcoming, aesthetically pleasing interior. I loved seeing the roast machine upon entry, that alone gives a completely different energy to a coffee shop. Today was the grand opening so the pastry bar was a little space, I'd like to come back and see it full on a normal day. The seasonal drinks speak to the culture that Saguaro is bringing to Indio, it's refreshing to see house made flavors not overpowered with sugar. I also loved their own spin on drinks VS the same old reptitive drink names. Now the coffee is absolutely delicious and rich! Major points for not up charging on milk alternatives. You can hear yourself think and even with a friendly amount of people inside, you can have a conversation without feeling like so many voices are crossing over.
