Dr Bang drilled a bit and said the one tooth was good for root canal for the bridge. Two temp caps were put on. NO ONE checked the crowns. They weren't sealed right and tech was clearly new. One crown fell off. If I hadn't just prepaid i would have gone elsewhere then. I've now been in pain for several weeks and the drilling and bad crowns made it excruciating. I went back on June 24th. Dr. Sorjani - endodontist who's there 1x per month - was to do root canals. He came in and jammed the numbing needle in. No warning. He seemed angry. He started to drill the wrong tooth. I had to tell him which ones. He got even angrier when he couldn't get me numb. He then said he couldn't do anything. And again, I PREPAID this visit too - an additional $1,201 Dr. Sorjani is a piece of work - I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. After he said he could do nothing, the tech put back on the bad crowns that were originally on there. Again, no dentist inspected the tech's lazy, shoddy work. The office staff- Trace - also lies. She said they're keeping over $2,000 because we "agreed to it" for the THREE teeth they worked on. It was only 2! And they did nothing except put me in horrific pain for 6 weeks. A few minutes after I left this visit, the crown fell off. I went back again that afternoon and another tech replaced the crown that fell off. I'm still in pain. It's July 8th now. They have over $4000 of our money still. They are not returning it so far and could give us no idea of when the little they were returning might show up. I am spreading the word to everyone. DO NOT USE BAKERSFIELD DENTAL GROUP. They are in the habit of making people prepay and then doing nothing. They have no concept of patient care.

The kiosk check-in system is also faulty and does not always go through to the front desk, so they think you're late or a no-show unless you speak to the receptionist. There is also now a host standing by the kiosks... why? I am disappointed because I pay for PPO just to continue going to CD. I vote for them for Bakersfield's Best every year. And I have referred all of my friends and family to them throughout these years. But I won't be doing that anymore. Will report back if things improve.

Nobody likes the dentist, but Dr. Barr and his team come closer to making that possible than any I've ever been to before. They here are very personal and help you feel as at home as possible in a dentist office. Dr. Barr always talks to me as an equal and respects my opinions, relating to my own dentistry and other affairs that happen to come up a well. Doesn't talk down to patients or patronize them as every other dentist I have ever been to. They offer wifi, you can choose what to watch on tv, specials for free and discounted services, and each room has a different, personal touch (a myriad of buttons randomly pinned to the ceiling in one room). Of course, I'd rather be at six flags than a dentist any day, but when the need for tooth fixin' arises, Dr. Barr's is the best I've ever found. read more

Worst dental experience I've ever had. Waited over 40 min each time to even be seen. Went in for a…read morecrown and the crown that was put on didn't fit so a staff member sanded it down to the point that the tooth wasn't soft or shiny and did not feel like a real tooth and there was also a gap. I expressed these concerns while at the visit and the staff member seemed annoyed that I brought up my concern. She was also very aggressive and rough. Called and let them know and dr said he would redo. I also called and asked that next time I come in I be seen by a different staff member or dr if possible as I did not have a great experience. Amber the fronts desk said she would do her best and put it in the notes. My concern was obviously not charted or communicated because when I went in for the second visit I was seen by the same person. She again was very rough and aggressive with my mouth and made a comment that I may just need to be numbed. I let her know on my last visit when I got the numbing shot I was numb for a week and very sore I thought he hit a nerve, she had no response to that at all. Also the staff is very chatty with eachother while working on patients which does not create a very calming environment for someone who has anxiety when going to the dentist. Will not be returning.
