What an outstanding experience! From the get go, Yemaya communicated very efficiently and effectively letting me know time frames of when they would be on site to conduct brush and bush removal work. After advising about a reschedule, after we received seven inches of rain on the original day we scheduled, Cameron arrived and went to work without any questions asked! In an hour, Cameron had all of the work completed and he kept pushing through even after being stung by a yellow jacket! That's dedication and commitment to the job. I have been using Sage Outdoor Service for a few months for my rental property until recently. I was there when they came the very first time and thought they did a good job, though a red flag was raised when they kept changing the time and date for the scheduled appointment. Fast forward to two weeks ago, my tenant reported that they did not show up for the entire February. I contact them about it and they told me they had an equipment problem for an entire month and supposedly emailed everyone but somehow missed me. I gave them the benefit of doubt as they claimed they will be back on track in the next week. However, a week has passed and they still did not show up at all. At this point, my lawn was basically out of maintenance for almost two months and my tenants were very upset. I started with bi-weekly plan but moved to (and pay for) the week plan, which costs more, on their suggestion. However, my tenants reported that they never come weekly (I asked them about it and they claim they come every week). My tenants work from home so it will be impossible for them to miss when they are coming. If this is true, that's a straight in-your-face robbery. I have since moved to another gardener and I would suggest you stay away from this company. read more

The appointment was originally set for 12pm, thru Yelp. I got a message saying they were running behind and would arrive around 1pm. That's okay - I'm a contractor myself and my schedule changes every single day, so things like this happen. At 220pm-ish, I sent a follow-up message and was told 'we're on our way right now'. 45 minutes after that, I messaged, and that's when they mentioned they were coming to my place (in south Austin) from Georgetown. If I'd known that, I would have cancelled - I lost $ - I missed out on meeting with a client because I was waiting. So, I'm working on my laptop at my kitchen table, which is at the rear of the house. At one point, I see two strangers walking around my backyard and peeking over the fence that splits the backyards of the (both sides) duplex I own. After they confirm who they are, I asked if they had received the note that they were required to ring the bell on the A side first, before doing any work. They said yes, but ignored that instruction "because we always walk the property first". I asked why they ignored my instruction, and they only repeated that same statement two more times. After they were done, I expected to make payment. Then, I noticed it had been quiet for a while. They left without saying anything, including not confirming the total bill. To recap: 1) It is a standard business practice of this business to walk onto a property as strangers and start looking around, without letting anyone at the property know who they are. 2) When you schedule service with them, they will ignore any instruction that interferes with item #1 above. 3) Confirmation of the bill total before they left was important to me for a specific reason - given how overgrown one of my backyards was, I was considering the possibility that the total bill might need to be higher than the original estimate. 4) This isn't the fault of the business, but I'm still astounded by this last bit. I know my yard wasn't in great shape, but I didn't think I needed to tell lawncare professionals not to mow the yard down to darn near the bare ground. I will not hire this business again. The correspondent Yemaya is extremely communicative and is able to work out reasonable estimates quickly and efficiently. I have come to sage for two landscaping jobs now and so far have been impressed, especially with the communication and options given. This is honestly something that is getting more rare when trying to hire contractors, everyone is so busy trying to verify the property and not focusing on the job at hand. Amazing service! The technician arrived and asked what was expected and I let him know what I was wanting and then he told me his plan so we were both on the same page. Overall, the service was great! The Representative I've spoken to was very nice, understood what I was wanting and matched the price of another company that works within Easton Park. Highly recommend! I'm totally picky about my lawn (no judgement haha) and I didn't have anything to complain about or had to ask him to fix. I would NEVER make such an acusation if it true. There's no reason for me to do that. When you text and called me today to insist that it wasn't you that I talked to I told you then that if it wasn't you why was the phone number the exact same as the one I had originally called to set up the appt.Something is very fishy!
