Sag Harbor Tavern (or should I say "Lack luster Tavern") My boyfriend and I have been so excited to try Sag Harbor Tavern for quite some time and boy were we disappointed. We made a reservation a few weeks back for a party of 4 and all of us were so excited to try the food as we are familiar with Red Hook Tavern. Prior to our reservation I had checked out the menu online and I was elated to see the fish and chips! However, as we were being seated we were told that the fish and chips, and the clam chowder was sold out! So from there I decided I would order the wedge salad and a side of fries; the server told me she could not sell me fries as the restaurant was running low and they were saving them for customers that ordered sandwiches! (Well I wanted the fish and chips and you were sold out!) I should be able to purchase fries if you have them in stock! I was completely baffled that I could not order anything that i traveled all the way from Manhattan to try!! The majority of the table had the hamburger which they said was good. I just find the restaurant to be a complete disaster! Example: We all ordered martinis and the server told us that they do not put vermouth in their martini and when the drinks were delivered there was 100% vermouth and we could all taste it! We would never come back to Sag Harbor Tavern! As we are all disappointed by the entire experience. Hopefully Sag Harbor Tavern takes this feedback to heart and makes some serious changes!

Came here after I watched Bethenny Frankel make love to the Sag Harbor Tavern burger and wanted to do the same. I made a reservation during off season for a weekday lunch table. I'd initially requested indoors, but it was such a nice day that the restaurant decided to conduct outdoor service only which, honestly, was the right decision. Sag Harbor Tavern is situated on a scenic block off the main strip of Sag Harbor right by the water, so if you're coming here on a nice day definitely try to grab a table outside. Once we arrived we were promptly seated. We were here for one thing - The Sag Harbor Tavern Burger, but the deviled eggs with caviar caught our eye and we had to try those as well. Deviled eggs and caviar are a match made in heaven honestly, this was such an excellent bite that I wasn't even mad about paying $24 for eggs. It was finally time for the main attraction: The Sag Harbor Tavern Burger. The bun was crispy and toasted to perfection, the cheese was melted on to the bun, it was stacked with a perfectly caramelized slab of onion and god the burger itself just oozed with deliciousness. The outside of the burger is coated in a spice crust that I will dream about forever. I was honestly surprised at the low reviews here because aside from the excellent food, service was also friendly, helpful, and on point, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I'll definitley be back!

Situated at Sag Harbor, this restaurant serves delicious seafood with a modern ambience. We only ordered a few dishes since we weren't too hungry, but it was the perfect amount for us to share. We got: * Shrimp cocktail - 8/10: nice and refreshing on a hot summer day * Chopped Kale Salad - 9/10: surprisingly quite good since the texture was very interesting * Cavatelli - 7/10: the pasta was a little too chewy for me, but overall the flavor was great

Food is incredible! Don't listen to the Karen's and city yuppies in these reviews. If you come here regularly they treat you very well! I pop in almost every weekend & the key is to sit at the bar for an easier experience. Getting a table especially during dinner can be tricky & service gets jammed. Food is much better now than when it used to be dockside, and the ambiance is very similar but looks more like the sister location in Red Hook. Leone & Damian at the bar are very nice & make great cocktails. Billy the owner is very nice too & sits by the bar at lunch sometimes. Was surprised to see the reviews, don't complain about the price when you are in sag harbor, its like complaining about the heat in the desert.

friends and I took a road trip to Sag Harbor. Our main purpose was to get this burger...and it did not disappoint. We gave it 10's across the board. So if you're ever in the area, stop in at Sag Harbor Tavern.

Decided to try Sag Harbor Tavern in The Hamptons. Parked at a lot that wasn't too far away that had 3-hour free parking. We did not have reservations. We walked up to the host and she was more than happy to seat us but she continuously got interrupted twice by 2 parties that would walk past her so we kept getting sideswiped, which I didn't appreciate. When we finally got seated at the bar, our bartender was playing triple duty. She was a bartender, busser, and our waitress. She was top notch and handled everything well. Food came out great and the prime rib dip was delicious, large, and flavorful.

Breaks my heart the service and the night I had here, our drinks were delayed which is okay but our server the younger Colombian woman forgot one of our mains and brushed it off like it was our fault, after waiting 30 mins I asked for a to go to take my main home she responded " oh you're sure ? " yes I'm sure after waiting so long I just wanna go home. I love the Tavern in red hook but this the location in Sag is a joke, the picture is me and my friend splitting my Main because his food was never ordered so we shared, no apologies no recovery just a simple go away.

    Bucatini with clams and crab

There's a reason why this is a difficult reservation to get- the setting, the food and the service! Our server Jessica was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with describing the menu. Of course you can order a burger, but please try the grilled prawns- they are perfect and the pasta choices are solid. I recommend the Bucatini with clams and crab- so light and delicious. There's something magical about siiting outside staring at the boats in the marina and all of Sag Harbor walking by.

Best Burger. Don't try to modify it, order it as the chef recommends. This is the best burger. You're welcome.

Should not be called a tavern. It's an expensive restaurant with zero local charm. Disappointing.

I really miss Dockside.......this does not seem to be nearly as welcoming and very overpriced. Menu is also disappointing? Am I correct?

All this and more is possible when you dine in during the week from 12-3:30pm or from 5-6:30 for dinner. The interior of Lulu's is super nice and upscale. Our server was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was too hungover to have a cocktail sadly, but my brother got The Ambassador martini (also on happy hour) that looked delicious to start. We ordered pretty much every seafood item on happy hour along with the shishito peppers and were so happy and satisfied by the end. All of the seafood was incredibly fresh. The shishito peppers were perfectly grilled. The octopus skewer was tender and delicious. Shrimp, crab, oysters and clams were all super fresh. Even the bread they put out was out of this world. My only complaint is that there were a lot of fruit flies around -- likely because we were seated near the produce that was out on display. But I would still come back for this food and these deals.

Our server (sorry forgot his name) was genuinely friendly - a rarity in the Hamptons these days - and made great food recommendations. The restaurant is one flight up with indoor and outdoor seating, even our inside table offered fantastic water views. Shared an order of burrata (a special of the day) to start, thoroughly enjoyed the creamy globe of cheese resting on tricolor sauce with toast points. My bouillabaisse, comprised of a large lobster tail, clams, mussels, and white fish, was well spiced with a saffron-based broth and served up with butter-slathered toast to mop it all up. Yummy! Partner's lobster rigatoni was made with plenty of fresh lobster meat and a well flavored creamy sauce. He said it was filling and delicious. Excellent experience overall, would definitely return when in the area.
