Very surprise to find this quality in Indian food in Wayne, PA. I started with the Onion Dhaiia, They were hot and fresh and a perfect start to my meal. Then came the Lamb Karma and garlic Naan. Lamb Karma had great North Indian flavors and complexity. The Garlic Naan is the real deal and it tasted great! Also did I mention Saffron Rice was complimentary? I have been regularly taking advantage of the buffet lunch with my toddler for the last several Saturdays and am so impressed with the attentive service and high quality food. They manager clearly cares about the restaurant and the attention to detail shows from the nicely set up buffet table to the friendly staff who make sure that the food options are always full. In between tried and true regular dishes like the mixed grill, saag paneer, tikka masala, lamb and fish curry, etc. the chef always has a few special creations to keep things interesting. The mixed grill chicken is the best I have had. I'm really happy to have an Indian option so close in Wayne and hope that it stays here for a long time! read more

Had the chicken tikka masala and murg vindaloo. Neither were very good. The chicken was very dry and the flavors of two dishes that should be very distinct were hard to tell apart. Both tasted overwhelmingly spicy without any of the complexity and nuanced heat that even Indian fast food places can deliver. Would not come back. Loved it! This is Indian food in the 'burbs... and for me this hit the spot! Service was spot on and friendly, interior was nice and open. LOTS of parking! Food was delicious- we got the exact same dishes we get at every Indian restaurant- paneer Tikka Masala, baighan bhartha, onion naan, vegetable samosas. Everything was delicious. Food came out hot and presentation was lovely. We tend to eat at another Indian restaurant in Bryn Mawr... I thought the food here was every bit as good (I actually like Saffron's paneer dish better!). The added bonuses that will keep us coming back to Saffron- a big parking lot and space between tables so I don't have to hear my neighbor's conversation on date night. First time at Saffron and had a good experience. As a vegetarian I ordered the Kadai Paneer and it was very tasty (as was the rice and garlic naan). The portions did seem a bit small (especially the naan as there wasn't enough to go around the table).
