It was the second weekend in December and we arrived on a cold night to Eddie V's. With the chill in the air, it was a pleasant surprise to see valet parking available for patrons. We pulled up, the young man was so quick and friendly & we headed inside. We had a 7:30pm reservation and could see the restaurant was packed. Lots of holiday cheer around the bar area for sure. Our coats were checked. We waited quite some time in the corridor, however after about 10 minutes a staff member appeared with a tray offering of champagne, for all who were waiting. This was an exceptional consideration. After about 10 more minutes we were seated. In the back room of the restaurant, back corner, along side their Christmas tree. The ambiance was only made more perfect by the birthday card and confetti they had adorned the table with. We started with cocktails. My signature Sapphire Martini with Blue Cheese Olives. Spot on. Perfect dirty, only a vermouth kiss and big ole hand stuffed olives. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned. It was with a specific rye on menu that was not available at the time. The server had them substitute Whistle Pig 12 (complimentary without upcharge). This again was so considerate. Our server was so attentive, generous, complimentary, careful and helpful. Just a well cooked vegetable. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes was butter heaven. Creamy, the huge chunks of lobster were swimming, and no potato peels, so smooth & decadent. We were stuffed so nixed dessert, however- a birthday dessert arrived. What a show! Flambé hooray!!! A firey plate with bananas, a coffee chip ice cream and chocolate cookie cake. My husband and daughter both got Souvlaki platters but didn't want their Dolmades so I happily ate those. I also shared their fries and part of my daughter's Pork Souvlaki. The Dolmades were some of the best I've ever had and the fries were amazing. But the pork. Listen, I rarely choose pork as my protein and I was very unenthusiastic about it, but it was possibly the best pork I have eaten in my life. It was super tender and juicy and absolutely full of flavor. Together with the fresh pita, tzatziki, and cucumbers... I didn't have words. My husband enjoyed his Lamb Souvlaki, but he tried a bite of the pork and shared my sentiments. We shared a piece of Baklava for dessert, which was also delicious. First Visit to Taste & Sea's High Tea - A Hidden Gem!…read more I recently visited Taste & Sea in Glen Mills for their High Tea experience, and it was absolutely delightful. They have been offering High Tea since January 2026 and currently serve it on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I chose the Royal Tea package, which includes a scone, your choice of quiche or soup, four assorted tea sandwiches, assorted petit desserts, and a pot of tea. Since I couldn't decide, I added both the quiche and soup for an additional $5, bringing my total to just $40. The soup and quiche were both delicious, although they were more of an oversized amuse-bouche portion than a full serving. The flavors, however, were outstanding. The tea sandwiches were equally enjoyable. While all four varieties were tasty, my favorites were the cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches. The highlight of the meal was the scone served with crème fraîche and raspberry honey jam. It was absolutely mouthwatering and truly elevated the entire tea experience. The assortment of petit desserts was also wonderful, especially the creamy cheesecake, which was my personal favorite. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. Lilly and Chrissy did a wonderful job throughout our visit. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. Their hospitality really enhanced the afternoon. I also appreciated that the venue is wheelchair and mobility-friendly, making it accessible and comfortable for guests with mobility concerns. It would be a wonderful venue for birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, ladies' gatherings, or any special occasion that calls for a memorable afternoon tea experience. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 experience. The quality, presentation, service, atmosphere, and value were exceptional. As Taste & Sea continues to grow and develop its High Tea service, I'm excited to see what enhancements they introduce in the future. My only concern?
