The tandoori kebabs were superb but too dried. They should have removed it from the tandoori after cooking. Otherwise, I got nothing bad to say about this location and the food. Really comforting for my first night in Philly! Piping hot food with fragrant spices. I had the butter chicken, which was super warm and brothy and creamy and paired perfectly with garlic naan. My mango lassi was also the perfect consistency of yogurt and not too sweet from the mango. The environment was very chill with down tempo Indian music and abstract art. I heard about this food chain, and I tried this location in the malvern area for dinner. It is located in a small shopping plaza, shared and ample parking, and it is easy to get in and get out. As you enter, you see the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice well maintained, and the menu options are good and simple. We ordered the food for pickup and the food was ready when we reached there. We ordered chili chicken, grilled paneer, and chicken biryani. The grilled paneer was perfect and probably the best of everything we had with a lot of flavors and very soft to eat The chicken biryani quantity was a lot, and the flavor of the rice was very good, but the chicken was okay. It's not bad. I wouldn't call it's great. But the quantity was good and the spice level was perfect. The chili chicken was just stale and with sauce. I wouldn't order it again then. Overall, the experience was good. The food was tasty, and I will try this place again one more time. read more

Open on Mondays when my regular place is closed. Ordered takeout. Food was ready on time and hot. Staff were friendly. Curries were very flavourful, although a little on the watery side. Also the portions were frugal for the price. Overall a good experience and would consider going back when my regular place is shut. read more

So good that we ordered take out again for a second time in the last week. The cauliflower Manchurian appetizer and chili chicken appetizer were both so delicious. This time we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with spicy heat and felt it tasted the same as the medium level but still very good. But given the taste of everything and reusable containers, I am keeping a 5 star. Their sauces are awesome and I'm a fan of the Chaat. My only wish is for more Chaat options. read more

1st time for take out. Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. Picked medium spice. The good: Order completed very quickly. Staff at pick up were extremely nice. Portion size was great. The food was quick but not very good. The curry was worth it but the naan was greasy and chewy, not soft. The rice also felt very dry.

Food here is hot or miss but some dishes are constant hit so I always order them such as the chicken tikka masala and makhani. They really turn the spice up too which you need to be aware of if you are not a fan of spicy food. I always order mine mild lol. I am from India and know what good food tastes like. Unfortunately, this was absolutely worst quality. Ordered saag which was salty and probably warmed up as could see burned saag around the side of the bowl. Malai kofta was full of cardamom. Save your money and appetite for something better. They gave us some refund which was nice of them but that doesn't change the food quality read more

Disappointed. Not up to snuff compared to the Newtown Square and KOP locations. Curry not as tasty with too much cinnamon/cardamom but otherwise underspiced. Chicken and rice didn't seem as fresh. Food was delicious and well spiced. You can pick your spice level. Also really liked that they offer reusable take out containers. You just have to rinse them and return within a few weeks. What a bonus on top of great food!! read more

All around great place! High quality food, low prices what more could you ask for. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. While I'm a fan of spicy food myself, not everyone I've brought with me is and they let us adjust dishes for spice level which is nice. They are also the best Indian restaurant I've been to at handling food allergies. The menu is clearly marked for nuts and gluten and the server was very attentive and proactive about my peanut/tree nut allergy. I often times find it difficult to eat at Indian restaurants with a nut allergy, but I felt completely safe eating at Tiffin. The server in general was very knowledgeable and shared interesting information about the dishes when I talked to him. I've been there for both dinner and their surprisingly inexpensive lunch special, food was excellent every time. Overall a great experience and I hope to come back and try all the different dishes on their menu. read more
