We came on a Sunday night- had high expectations- maybe that was the problem. They were out of most of the things we wanted like goat biriyani. There was also a hair in our chicken. The wait was very long in spite of the restaurant being pretty empty. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular to crave about or come back for or different from any other restaurant. I'm accustomed to paying $15-18 for a single entree and Kinnera is no different, but there was so much food that the portion I took home after eating was as large as the entire serving at restaurants near me. My wife ordered chicken korma and it was super rich and well seasoned. I got spinach with chickpeas and it was also delicious. Service was prompt. If you like good spices and the Biryani, this is a place to order but a very small quantity. Had a Biryani craving and wanted to order for a very long time at this place. I finally ordered goat dum biryani, and however, they changed the order to chicken biryani. They made the order already in 20 minutes for takeout and were able to pick it up easily. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a huge shared parking lot and a restroom inside the restaurant. The biryani tasted perfectly with the right amount of spices but only with two pieces of chicken. The quantity is very less both rice and chicken. The restaurants have to improve the quantity of food they give for the customers but the taste is very good read more

My work friends and I met here for our holiday dinner. It was the first time for all of us and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious!! So many veggie and non-veggie selections to choose from. We decided to go all veggie so we could all share. The methi malai paneer was my favorite. Everything was delicious and the service was nice. The place is nice and clean and not that huge, but there was another company holiday party a table over from us, so they can accommodate large groups and it not be disturbing to others. Went for lunch. Service was friendly. Can be a bit slow but all the items seem to be made fresh. I tried the Chicken dish with red sorrel gravy (I believe it is from the state of Andra Pradesh). Delicious but be forewarned - when they ask if "Medium" spicy is OK, they mean true Indian-level spice, so if you are not used to it, be prepared for the hottest thing you have eaten in your life. It was authentically made with pieces of chicken on the bone. They were kind enough to offer a refill of the rice which I declined. Plenty of leftovers to take home. read more

Wow! We went to Kinnera on a whim, and we just may have found our new favorite Indian restaurant! The menu is extensive and balanced between vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The restaurant is nicely decorated but far from overdone. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all of the menu options. We had the Cut Mirchi (perfectly made and spicy), Chicken Tikka Masala (spot on and delicious), the Gongura Goat Curry (flavorful and spicy), and ordered the Meghana Chicken Biryani for dinner this week. Tried this place for dinner on a friend's recommendation! Either we picked the wrong night to visit or the service is pathetically slow. Our server dropped off menus and developed ninja powers and could walk past our table avoiding eye contact. He didn't stop to enquire about the food or if we needed anything even once! We ordered 1 appetizer and entrees. Our appetizer showed up after 40 min. Miraculously 2 tables seated after us had their food delivered quickly while we were waiting for ours! I finally had to flag down another server as we had been waiting for entree for 40 min after the appetizer! The not so warm entree was delivered and I had to remind them about cold drinks that were never served. The food quality was good but the dining experience was subpar. I witnessed a lot of frustrated customers waiting for their takeout orders. I don't think this place will last long if they don't get their act together. read more

We ordered take-out for two families this weekend and loved the food. We order Chicken Tikka Masala (with varying spice levels), Tandoori chicken, Butter Paneer, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. Everything was sensational! We thought the flavors were extremely fresh and the portions were generous. The tandoori chicken was a full (smaller) chicken! Everyone who ordered curries had leftovers for another meal. The naan was fresh, light, and flavorful.
