Stopped here for a late lunch and had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Both were very flavorful and delicious. Portion size was plentiful. The place was busy. I will be back!

If you like good spices and the Biryani, this is a place to order but a very small quantity. Had a Biryani craving and wanted to order for a very long time at this place. I finally ordered goat dum biryani, and however, they changed the order to chicken biryani. They made the order already in 20 minutes for takeout and were able to pick it up easily. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a huge shared parking lot and a restroom inside the restaurant. The biryani tasted perfectly with the right amount of spices but only with two pieces of chicken. The quantity is very less both rice and chicken. The restaurants have to improve the quantity of food they give for the customers but the taste is very good

My work friends and I met here for our holiday dinner. It was the first time for all of us and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious!! So many veggie and non-veggie selections to choose from. We decided to go all veggie so we could all share. The methi malai paneer was my favorite. Everything was delicious and the service was nice. The place is nice and clean and not that huge, but there was another company holiday party a table over from us, so they can accommodate large groups and it not be disturbing to others. It's easy parking and in a shopping center. We enjoyed this place very much.

The Mutton Chukka was the best we have ever had, it paired very well with the Naan. Next time we will ask for boneless chicken Kurma which might be easier to eat but also pairs well with the Garlic Naan. The Garlic Naan was spot on. One really can't go wrong with these selections. We'll certainly be back and bring more people along with us. Probably the best Indian restaurant in South East PA.

The external facade and parking didn't give me much confidence. However overall experience turned out to be great! Since it was close to 9pm when we entered, only couple of more tables were occupied. Menu was mix of north and South Indian food and we were not sure which way we should go. All were tired after a day of moving stuff and we decided to get Chana Masala and (forgot the name) pepper chicken. All entrees come with rice, so we ordered only couple of more garlic naans. Whole order was sufficient for 4 of us. Chana masala was South Indian style but was freshly made and tasty. Peeper chicken was cooked to perfection and was spicy, with a punch. The taste was unique. Best part was naan. Chef had prepared it fresh and was fluffy. I will even go back just for naans. Definitely worth a visit every time we are in neighborhood.

I love Indian food. I married into an Indian family so I had better love it…read more Sometimes when I get Indian food for lunch at work, my wife gets jealous that I ate it without her. But when I tell her about this place, I'm guessing she might not care as much. I've been wanting to try it for a while. Today I rolled the dice. And I'd say my experience was decidedly mixed. Basically, the samosa was excellent. Knowing her she'd love that. The Gobi Manchurian, one of my favorite dishes, was decent but I've had better flavors elsewhere. But I'm not complaining about it. Knowing her, she'd say it was OK at best. The Chicken 65, another of my favorites, is something I'm complaining about. The flavor was just way off. All I could taste was hot spice and lemon, and nothing else. Knowing her, she'd want to throw it out. I ordered it mild, but a lot of places where I do that it doesn't affect the other flavors. Maybe it does here. I will say they had a pretty decent mango lassi. So a couple things kept me from making this review worse. I'd come back here if I craved a good samosa and lassi as a snack. It's hard for me to try anything else past that now.

I'm providing this honest review as a constructive feedback for improvement…read more We came across this place online but were only able to try it recently...I was honestly disappointed by many things: First, when a place advertises shawarma meat and posts videos of the famous Lebanese shawarma revolving cone that grills the marinated meat as the cone turns, you would expect that the shawarma plate you order is an authentic shawarma meat cut off the shawarma cone...unfortunately, this was not the case at cafe baladi. I respect the owner who's advertising authentic homemade Lebanese food but the shawarma meat we got was not an authentic shawarma meat...this was meat that was cooked either in a pan or in the oven and was not tender because it was not probably marinated and it's not grilled on the shawarma cone. Placed that have the famous shawarma cone you can usually see in the restaurant either behind the counter or through a window in the back - this was not the case. Second the plate included the choice of hummus or baba ghannouj and tabbouleh...we picked baba ghannouj and we got the tabbouleh...again, the baba ghannouj did not taste at all authentic nor homemade...it tasted like the baba ghannouj in a conserved can that you find in grocery stores. Authentic baba ghannouj is made from grilled eggplant tahini lemon juice and salt. Third, the Lebanese tabboule is made from finely chopped vegetables (parsley, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and burgul). Unfortunately again this tabbouleh was not finely chopped and it lacked the burgul. We were really disappointed. The only positive thing was that the service was quick.
