We just hosted our son's 6 month rice feeding ceremony at their party hall... Let me start by…read moresaying that their food is impeccable as always.. We have eaten at the restaurant for years now and my 2 year old loves their Dosa!! All the items we had in our menu were delicious... My personal favorites were the Apollo fish and the Malabar shrimp... The service was very very good.. Mr Amar was super helpful with all our requests and needs... With 2 little babies hosting an event there was so comfortable and wholesome due to their very friendly service and mouth watering food... Looking forward to hosting more parties there in the future...

The external facade and parking didn't give me much confidence. However overall experience turned out to be great! Since it was close to 9pm when we entered, only couple of more tables were occupied. Menu was mix of north and South Indian food and we were not sure which way we should go. All were tired after a day of moving stuff and we decided to get Chana Masala and (forgot the name) pepper chicken. All entrees come with rice, so we ordered only couple of more garlic naans. Whole order was sufficient for 4 of us. Chana masala was South Indian style but was freshly made and tasty. Peeper chicken was cooked to perfection and was spicy, with a punch. The taste was unique. Best part was naan. Chef had prepared it fresh and was fluffy. I will even go back just for naans. Definitely worth a visit every time we are in neighborhood.

I love Indian food. I married into an Indian family so I had better love it…read more Sometimes when I get Indian food for lunch at work, my wife gets jealous that I ate it without her. But when I tell her about this place, I'm guessing she might not care as much. I've been wanting to try it for a while. Today I rolled the dice. And I'd say my experience was decidedly mixed. Basically, the samosa was excellent. Knowing her she'd love that. The Gobi Manchurian, one of my favorite dishes, was decent but I've had better flavors elsewhere. But I'm not complaining about it. Knowing her, she'd say it was OK at best. The Chicken 65, another of my favorites, is something I'm complaining about. The flavor was just way off. All I could taste was hot spice and lemon, and nothing else. Knowing her, she'd want to throw it out. I ordered it mild, but a lot of places where I do that it doesn't affect the other flavors. Maybe it does here. I will say they had a pretty decent mango lassi. So a couple things kept me from making this review worse. I'd come back here if I craved a good samosa and lassi as a snack. It's hard for me to try anything else past that now.

I visited this restaurant with my friends for dinner. We were greeted and provided seating. The…read moreparking is shared and ample enough. Note that this is a BYOD restaurant. We were given the menu, the menu is great and also available online as well. Our waiter Rajan was able to provide some great recommendations for the appetizer and we went with this suggestions for Kodi Vepudu, Tawa Fish fry. The Kodi vepeudu was just perfectly seasoned/spiced and the dry masala that came with it was perfect and we order some white rice to savor this. The chicken was done right and the pieces and portions were perfect. Tawa fish fry was good, I felt it was over seasoned and the masala was too strong. But my friends enjoyed it. The fish was cooked perfect and it was just soft. Great Tawa fry. As Rajan's recommendations were good, he also suggested the Nalli ghost Biryani and we ordered that for entree and one Chicken ulavacharu biryani. Nalli Ghost Biryani was good, the portion was huge and the rice was flavroful. However the Nalli was good but not awesome. Could have been better. Chicken ulavacharu biryani was tasty and not like typical Dum biryani. Great food and the food came right on time. Definitely will visit again !!

Me too agree. Not sure why overall ratings so low…read more Excellent flavors. This is what I imagine more authentic Indian cooking unmodified or refined for Western tastes might taste like. Just delicious. Warning: heat is as advertised. So even medium is above average spicy for Western tongues, I think. This I MUST underline. I don't want you to be disappointed. Mild spicy is probably acceptable for most Western tastes unaccustomed to really spicy food. Korma was good. Bread was acceptable. Online, they use Clover and I tried but it failed, had to phone in the order. Menu a little confusing. Large number of offerings welcome but just a bit overwhelming. Clover and website / paper menus may also not be exactly the same. Website and paper menus list Southern Indians dishes like Dosa which I could not find on Clover. Tried a dish I had never tasted, Karvepaku Paneer, a curry and chili / pepper flavored dish, and it was good. Expect a lot of heat, like real Szechuan cuisine. Found it on the Clover menu but could not find it on the paper menu. Oh and they do kebabs too. Excited to try this place again in the near future. Apparently this is a chain.

Peanut and Tree-nut Allergy Safe…read more Food was delicious and fresh. Everything we ordered was hot coming out, and tasted great. Waiter was friendly, helpful and it did not take long to get our food. I have a lethal Peanut and tree-nut allergy and had no issues eating here or communicating with the staff. At the time I came the only thing that has nuts is the deserts, so I was able to pick from the whole menu when it came to food and not worry about entree cross contamination which was a delightful surprise. This includes their vegetarian options which were also nut free. I am excited to go back and try more of their menu.

I'm providing this honest review as a constructive feedback for improvement…read more We came across this place online but were only able to try it recently...I was honestly disappointed by many things: First, when a place advertises shawarma meat and posts videos of the famous Lebanese shawarma revolving cone that grills the marinated meat as the cone turns, you would expect that the shawarma plate you order is an authentic shawarma meat cut off the shawarma cone...unfortunately, this was not the case at cafe baladi. I respect the owner who's advertising authentic homemade Lebanese food but the shawarma meat we got was not an authentic shawarma meat...this was meat that was cooked either in a pan or in the oven and was not tender because it was not probably marinated and it's not grilled on the shawarma cone. Placed that have the famous shawarma cone you can usually see in the restaurant either behind the counter or through a window in the back - this was not the case. Second the plate included the choice of hummus or baba ghannouj and tabbouleh...we picked baba ghannouj and we got the tabbouleh...again, the baba ghannouj did not taste at all authentic nor homemade...it tasted like the baba ghannouj in a conserved can that you find in grocery stores. Authentic baba ghannouj is made from grilled eggplant tahini lemon juice and salt. Third, the Lebanese tabboule is made from finely chopped vegetables (parsley, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and burgul). Unfortunately again this tabbouleh was not finely chopped and it lacked the burgul. We were really disappointed. The only positive thing was that the service was quick.
