We ordered two dishes , garlic naan and an order of raitha tonight. Everything was fine until we pulled out the container of raitha from the bag. Why is the raitha so watery? The only thing I can think of is that someone watered it down and it was really inedible which is too bad because the rest of the meal was good ,though the chicken tikka was too sweet! Good thing we requested a medium spice level otherwise it really would have been a disappointment. I can't even think why someone would do this except if they were short on the supply or someone is trying to cut costs. Very disappointing. read more

We ordered through uber eats. Kadai paneer, papdi chat & spinach cheese naan. We were extremely disappointed with the food and the taste. 1. Paneer had extrene quantities of ketchup 2. Papdi chat was stale with majorily only papadi without the escence of chat. Very very dry 2. Reason for one star was that naan was ok and packaging was decent. I wont be ordering from this place. It was a bad experience on our taste buds. read more

Saffron Indian Kitchen - Driest papdi chat - Indian Near Me - Wayne, Pennsylvania

Really solid quality and consistency. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My only (very minor) complaint is that it's usually on the warm side in there (too much heat in the winter and not enough A/C in the summer months). read more

Saffron Indian Kitchen - Great naan! - Indian Near Me - Wayne, Pennsylvania

I had a wonderful meal here this evening. I started with the special cauliflower turmeric soup which was fantastic with fresh lemon juice. I moved on to a lamb korma entree with rice and wonderfully seasoned garlic naan. I finished with warm gulab jamun which is the best dessert on the planet. Dine in was great, service was attentive and prompt and the meal was wonderful. read more

Reliably good! Plus it's a pleasant ambiance. Ordered the chicken tikka masala, sag paneer, Channa and garlic naan. All delicious! read more

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. The Lamb Korma is absolutely delicious and my favorite dish. Service is friendly and fast. read more

Lackluster taste. Everything we ordered was insipid. Chicken gravy was sweetush and mainly like having tomato soup. Eaten better indian food read more

Absolutely delicious food! The chicken tikka masala tastes like British style. Pakoras are lush! Spicy pickle made in house. Yum.

Lamb Korma was very tender and tasty. Loved the samosas and the garlic naan. Very quick service. A solid lunch takeout option! Definitely will go back! read more

I was in the area and decided to pick up food instead of getting delivery to save money. I ordered from Saffron Indian Kitchen on GrubHub, and my total for pickup ended up being more than if I were to order delivery from a different Indian restaurant. Additionally, SIK did not alert me that my order was ready. However, I am not sure if that is a GrubHub issue or SIK issue. My boyfriend and I did in fact enjoy the food. He ordered his dishes to be medium spicy, and they were 'not spicy at all'. I cannot say that the food is far and above better than other Indian restaurants I frequent, therefore I believe it is not worth the hefty price hike. On top of that, I checked Uber Eats for pricing, and it was even more expensive on that app (maybe because I have GrubHub Premium). I'm glad I tried this establishment (the food is good, don't get me wrong), but I will be going to less expensive Indian restaurants with just as good food quality. read more

Best Indian Cuisine around. I just love this place! The food is prepared right on site (unlike others) and you can really tell! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you have never tried this style of cooking, they will gladly make recommendations. And if you want something special to your taste, it's no problem. Food is always fresh and prepared beautifully. read more

Delicious! One of my favorites. Never disappoints! Staff is so nice, too! Love that it's BYO

I have been living off of their Tikka Masala Paneer during COVID! I don't know how they do it but the tikka is just unbeatable & they are always prompt & offer reasonable portions. Recommend highly! read more

I love this place! We dine here or order takeout at least a couple times a month. The staff is so nice and they remembered us by our second or third visit and are extra warm and friendly. The food is excellent - the meat in the stews falls apart in your mouth, the naan is great, the soup specials are awesome, and I love that it's BYOB. They serve the usual staples that Americans love (chicken tikka masala, etc.), but their monthly specials are awesome and seem to be their way of introducing some more authentic and less expected items, so it's a great way to try new things and expand your horizons. I can't sing their praises enough, one of my favorites and go-to's in the Philly suburbs. read more

This is a terrific Indian restaurant with probably the nicest owners and staff. The Naan is fantastic, regardless of what version you have. We have order Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Saag Lamb, and Tandoori Shrimp Masala. All are delicious. This is not a fancy place. You can go dressed totally casual and feel comfortable. Don't forget to get the Mango Lassi. read more

The worst ever Indian restaurant I have been so far. Not an actual authentic Indian spices they use.. lots of sugar added in all dishes just to please non-spice eaters. Expensive menu though tasteless food and they includes mandatory TIP (Approx. 18%) in the bill itself to avoid the customer to decide on it. The most of vegetables/ingredients etc are just preserved ones not the fresh cuts. I would suggest don't spoil your taste buds with eating this kind of food. read more

This place is so bad. I can't even begin to start how pathetic the food is and they serve meat to make customers sick and I forgery about mentioning rude server even after tipping him. Pathetic. read more

I ordered dosas. Chicken Dosa and Masala Dosa. We also got Chicken Tikka Masala. The chutneys had already gone bad, the masala and chicken in the dosa was dry and old. The Chicken Tikka Masala barely fared better. I've ordered from Saffron's Bryn Mawr location and there were no complaints. The Rava Dosa was perfect. I hope my experience was just a one time event. read more

Great to have Indian cuisine in Wayne! Highly recommend it. Attentive, friendly service. Menu has variety but isn't overloaded. Cool decor. Enjoyed the Murg Korma. Outstanding! Spicy at low, medium or high. I had high which was delicious and didn't set my hair on fire. The Papri Chaat appetizer was full of flavor. It's BYOB and reasonably priced. Their other locations have won several regional awards. Good place. Will be back! read more

Love this place. Staff is polite and friendly. Place is clean. Flavors are outstanding, no matter what you get. Naan bread during buffet appears unlimited and is warm and delicious. Have been happy each time. I do wish, however, that desserts were a bit better and that they had tea on the buffect. read more

So glad Saffron finally opened a location in Wayne! Now I don't have to drive all the way to Bala. Get the masala DOSA with potatoes which can be hard to find at Northern Indian restaurants. Everything is delicious and this place is a real standout among Indian restaurants. read more

Tried this place a couple of items and totally didn't like the taste. Please don't add spices to tomato sauce and call it a curry. Am never visiting this place again. There are better options around if you want to try Indian food. read more

Our dinner was absolutely delicious! We started with the tasty masala dosa e.g. Indian crepe with potatoes. Our entrees, butter chicken and rogan josh lamb tasted freshly prepared and full of flavor. So happy to have excellent Indian food in Wayne. We'll be returning sooner than later. Came back a second time tonight and must say that we don't agree with the other reviews. Lamb kebab, chicken saag (requested medium spicy), garlic naan complete with mango lassi hit the spot! read more

We are in here one night for dinner. For appetizers, we had samosas and samosa chaat, which were both delicious. I ordered the malai shrimp, which is basically a grilled shrimp dish. It was spiced but not spicy (although they will adjust or bring you pepper if you wish). My favorite was the pineapple shrimp curry-- spicy, well-rounded, made me want more. Everything came with rice, and our waiter brought more when we asked. Dishes are share-able, so I would order one dish per person and pass them so you get a more balanced meal. I do wish they offered some type of naan with the meal and left out a few chutneys like many other Indian restaurants, but you can order these on the side. Service was very attentive, even though we were among the last diners in the restaurant. read more

this place was awful, I had a take away order and no friendly customer service, my food was about $40 and everything was bad, zero flavor or spices, a cost cutting strategy they use . ugh a waste of my money and time getting food from there . save your money and don't go !!!!! read more

Very good food! Their saag paneer is my favorite! Loved their onion bhajia, onion naan and badam kheer! The prawns masala was reasonable too! Ambience and service are very nice too! read more

If you want to try some good Indian food give Saffron a miss. We ordered some chicken tikka masala and tandoori roti. The rotis were fine but the chicken tikka masala was disappointing. It was not tikka but just plain boneless chicken in a gravy that could have passed for tomato ketchup with loads of sugar - if you take out the chicken it could pass as a dessert. We are definitely giving this a miss read more

Delicious. The Indian food restaurant in my area (2 hrs away) went out of business. My daughters and I were at KofP mall for the day and treated ourselves to the wonderful southern Indian food at this restaurant. Everyone was friendly and good was great. read more

Love this place and wanted to help resuscitate it as soon as indoor dining was reinstated. We went tonight - great spacing between tables, excellent service by Kumal (as usual) and food that can't be beat. No problem getting a reservation - everyone was appreciative of us coming back. Help get them back on their feet and make a reservation. Best Indian cuisine in the Main Line area. read more
