Nice cafe that sells curry and cakes, as they advertise. It's in the same shopping center as Damas Mediterranean Grill. There's a lot of parking, and it's a clean, safe area. I had their ras malai, which is a dessert made of milk and cheese. It was good. They have a lot of vegetarian and meat options, snacks as well as meals, or tea and dessert. Service was fast. Indian Hut is me and my family's goto when we want chicken biryani and butter chicken. Food and service is always great. Prices are competitive as well. The taste is better than the fancier places as well which is a little secret. We must have ordered from here at least 50 times over the years and still do. The pastries are awesome as well. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. The sign makes it seem like it's a bakery which it is. But it's also been an Indian restaurant for the past 14 years. We had chicken tikka masala and chicken korma and garlic naan bread. Absolutely delicious. The bakery looks good too! The prices are great. The atmosphere is not great but it serves it purpose. When we walked in it looked very promising! Came I'm on a Monday night and it was packed with locals! Seemed to be very authentic. Wait was very long but staff was super friendly. Took probably 30 mins to get our food when they claim to be fast, but we were super bothered. We ordered samosa, chicken tikka masala, paneer panini, and garlic naan. It came out to $38 which was a little more expensive than we were expecting. Chicken tikka masala was very good in my opinion. Very creamy and not as sour as I usually like but spiced very well. More like a medium spice level. The garlic naan was flavorful but very soft, and we usually like it with a little crisp. Samosas we're good and basic. The paneer panini was great and very crispy. Very solid food, got the order to go and I texted the receipt to my phone so I was notified when the order was ready. Got myself a special chicken biryani, good flavoring, just enough spice, comes with a hard boiled egg and onions. I also ordered a goat chettinad which was also pretty spicy and tasted great. Given a choice, I would rate this place a ZERO. The people who work here, the manager Samara and the male associate ( Probably Bikash) are a disgrace to this place or to be in customer service to begin with. We ordered the cake for my son's birthday which was cancellwd by the venue due to the snow storm and we were notified 1.5 hr before the party. I called all the places we ordered food and cakes from to cancel and they all gracefully agreed with no problem. Here comes the real drama when called indian Rut (this is the name they truly deserve) The people who work here samara and Bikash are horrible with zero empathy. I requested them I can pick up the cake next week (party was rescheduled to next week) I never requested them for the refund. A coworker brought us here while we were in town for work. We got a lot of food and shared it all. We started with appetizers of Bhel Puri, Ali Papdi Chaat, Pani Puri, and Chloe Bhatura. They were all incredible. They were the best Indian food I've ever had. My favorite was the Bhel Puri, but they were all great. For entrees, we got Curry Gobi Manchurian, Masala Dosa, and Dal Makhani. They were all very good. I liked the appetizers more, but this was still the best Indian food I've had. My favorite of the entrees was the Gobi Manchurian closely followed by the Dal Makhani. If you like Indian food, come here. read more

Not worth your while, either dining in or takeout. For the prices they charge and the time that it takes them to prepare an order, I've never paid more for less. The food is forgettable, and the portion sizes are laughable. I will commend their marketing and advertising though--they've managed to ascend to the top of the food delivery food chain in the suburban Philadelphia market for Indian cuisine, if only by default because few other options exist. When we came here, we ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and chicken biryani. Both of the first two entrées were like ordering small cups of sauce, with bits and pieces of chicken thrown in. The flavor was not particularly complex or interesting, and is most comparable to the frozen grocery store offerings that you reheat in your microwave. The naan, for almost $5, is even more laughable--I've gotten more food for half the price at every Indian restaurant that I've been to. I'm not really sure how they get away with this, but if you're reading this, I wouldn't recommend coming here. There's plenty of other, better options for Indian cuisine in the area, and the value here isn't sufficient to justify ordering any of their dishes. We were billed wrong for the pav bhaji but the restaurant rejected my refund!! Not going there back again!! We ordered (take away during Covid) pav bhaji, dahi puri, chicken 65 and Chole Bhature. The pav bhaji and Chole bhature were not that great. The pav bhaji was more like a mix veg curry and the bhaturas were really thick. The dahi puri and chicken 65 were decent tasting. We have been frequenting this place for many years now, and have generally found the food decent for the most part. However, the quality appears to have deteriorated quite a bit, along with the general cleanliness. The chicken biryani we ordered was super dry and likely reheated from a batch prepared a day or two ago, the pav bhaji wasn't even mashed, with large chunks of carrots and potatoes, and the mens bathroom appeared not to have been cleaned for days. This used to be a good if not exceptional fast food place, and we are hoping the management can take the quality back to where it used to be. read more

Indian hut was my family's most favorite place in the area and we used to visit here every weekend for the yummy food. We tried almost everything from the menu. Even weekdays when we were around my son always wanted to go there for at least samosas. No doubt they have very good food and cake. But the some people who work there has lots of attitude. They don't care for their regular customers. We wanted to order custom cake for my son's birthday, the person who bakes was so disrespectful and arrogant he didn't even ready to talk, we were talking and he just walked in saying he don't bake custom cakes. He wasn't even ready to listen what we're saying, that was so rude and disappointing. We are never going again to the place where we don have respect. And many of our friends also experienced same recently. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Ourself respect is important. There are many places which are even more better than this. read more

This is my favorite place to get take out. I haven't had a single dish that was a disappointment! I like my food to be very spicy, and find it difficult to find a restaurant that can cater to my preferred spice level. My favorite dishes of theirs is the biryani. The only place where I think they could improve is quality control. I order the same dish and the ingredients used in it can vary greatly. Sometimes there are hot peppers, sometimes not. Sometimes they put the egg I ordered, but sometimes forget. My girlfriend can't handle as much spice. When we order mild biryani, it comes way to spicy. Almost too spicy even for me! Being fairly new to the area, I moved right before COVID, I'm still trying many of the restaurants in the area and I actually saw this place after going to the Greek place a few doors over and wanted to try it. I checked Yelp and was a little apprehensive after seeing some of the negative reviews but it was PHENOMENAL. I got take out. The wait wasn't too long at lunch hour- I just killed a little time at Produce Junction, the guys that made my food were very nice and polite and the food was excellent. NOT FOR VEGETARIANS!!!!This restaurant needs to take action in their cleanliness and handle customers food restrictions We are pure vegetarians and ordered vegetarian thali. We just started to eat thali and found the paneer curry had chicken pieces in it. This is completely unacceptable especially at Indian restaurant where they are aware of the sensitivity to the vegetarians towards having any non vegetarian food. I have been here before and I did doubt their cleanliness level but today they have proven me right in the most extreme way. I come here for the dosa and the vegetarian thali (lunch combo), both of which are satisfying and and taste like my family's home cooking. Not shabby at $9 apiece, and the thali is a massive amount of food. (Soo...many...delicious...carbs.) Staff isn't friendly but I ain't here to make friends, I'm hear to get my dalbhat (lentils+rice) jones taken care of. I'm personally not a huge fan of the desserts here, and the "standard" Indian curries (tikka masala, etc.) will taste different from what you may be accustomed to. And friendly staff? Nah. But you can get a quick, yummy lunch that costs half as much as some of the local buffets and is probably healthier too. (Note: I've found the restaurant to be fairly clean. Their pastries are good and that's what I go there for. In my recent visit, my husband got the patties( from the counter) , no description was written on those patties. So you would assume they are potato patties (the basic one). After eating he realized, it had chicken in it. We were not in a mood to make a scene out of it. After a recent trip to this strip mall to eat at Han Dynasty, I noticed this place on the way in. I immediately put it on my future "to try" list. This week was the week to try it. Now, I'm going to judge two different visits. My first visit was a solo visit for lunch. That visit was simple. I chose two dishes I happen to love, which are Samosa Chaat and Gobi Manchurian, with a Mango Lassi of course. They all pleased me very much. But, what struck me the most is while I was looking at the menu, not only did I see a bunch of items I wanted to try in the future, I also saw some items that the wife would go crazy for. You see, being that she was born in Mumbai, and since I have visited Mumbai with her, I have come to know a little bit about the legendary Mumbai street food. So I recognized a few items that I know she doesn't get very much around here, and I knew I'd have to bring her here. So, after telling her about my find (after she gave me the requisite guilt trip about eating Indian food without her which I'm used to by now), she determined that we would go there for dinner tonight. So, tonight the wife and I ordered up several more dishes to try. To satisfy her Mumbai street food cravings, Vada Pav and Dahi Batata Puri were ordered, as well as a Masala Dosa (my wife seems to be on the search for the perfect dosa lately which I have happily joined her for), and for my meat cravings, I gave the Chicken 65 and the Chicken Biryani a try. Of all of these dishes, I loved the Chicken 65 and the dosa the most. Chicken 65 is apparently a popular South Indian bar snack fried and marinated in 65 spices (take that, Colonel Sanders). Consider it the "boneless buffalo wing" of India. It's wonderful to say the least. The dosa might be my favorite thus far in the area. Good subtle crisp to it. Meanwhile, the wife was going crazy for the Vada Pav and Puri. My samplings of the dishes found them to be pretty darn tasty as well. The Puri is a flavor explosion in the mouth. I won't describe it, just experience it yourself. If there was any dish that damn near killed me with the spice, it was the biryani. I tasted a very strong clove taste at first (which I'm still burping up as I write this), and as I ate more of it, the spice hit me like a delayed reaction. In fact, I'm fairly certain the power of the spice temporarily made me disoriented to the point that I almost spilled a cup of water on me as I drank it. Damn, the food made me lose motor skills briefly. Now, this is not to say it was bad. Far from it. It just crossed my personal threshold of spice, which is better than it used to be but not as high as others. And, judging by the amount of Indian people who were eating here, and how many of them I saw ordering biryani while I was there, I have to think that this dish is tailored more to the hardcore Indian palate, which is fine. Me, I'll just order it more mild next time if I can. Oh by the way, we took some of the desserts home. We have a pound of Indian cookies which we haven't sampled yet (but looked awesome). However, we did sample the Gulab Jamun when we came home. And it's quite possible that we just found the BEST DAMN Gulab Jamun in the area. In fact, I think my wife is still doing a Bollywood dance in her head over it. If you know nothing of Gulab Jamun, I implore you to try it from here. You will thank me later. A very solid 4 stars from me. My wife would probably find a way to give it 6 stars if she could. In fact, I think she's already calling her relatives in this area to meet her here. I didn't think it would be possible to make a bad dosa, but Indian Hut proved me wrong! We ordered a dahi puri and a rava masala dosa. The dahi puri lacked any flavor... it was almost like they had forgotten to put any chutneys or salt. The dosa was over-crispy (almost felt like papad), but it was edible. The sambar though tasted like dal. And you could tell had used one of the frozen packets of veggies for the sambar, because it had Lima beans! The chutney tasted like a mixture of yogurt and coconut only - no salt, tempering or other seasoning. To add to this, there was a large group of people seated there who didn't have any sense of decorum in a public space. They were loud, obnoxious and were walking around the dining area without masks on. Instead of trying to talk to these guests, the restaurant staff decides to curb the noise by playing music that was twice as loud as the guests. It almost felt like we were in a nightclub. The terrible ambience combined with the mediocre food --- suffice to say we will never go back. read more
