My most recent visits has been good, both food and friendliness of the staff so upgrading my rating to 4. The samosa chaat, panini, Gobi manchurian and momos veggie all tasted good. Note they do have a party hall too.

The food is so good!! The food came decently quickly and was hot and yummy. I went with my family, and we ordered the Chole bhature, gobi Manchurian, chicken 65, masala dosa, chicken tikka masala, and malai kofta. Highly recommend.

When we walked in it looked very promising! Came I'm on a Monday night and it was packed with locals! Seemed to be very authentic. Wait was very long but staff was super friendly. Took probably 30 mins to get our food when they claim to be fast, but we were super bothered. We ordered samosa, chicken tikka masala, paneer panini, and garlic naan. It came out to $38 which was a little more expensive than we were expecting. Chicken tikka masala was very good in my opinion. Very creamy and not as sour as I usually like but spiced very well. More like a medium spice level. The garlic naan was flavorful but very soft, and we usually like it with a little crisp. Samosas we're good and basic. The paneer panini was great and very crispy. However was a little spicier than expected.

Very solid food, got the order to go and I texted the receipt to my phone so I was notified when the order was ready. Got myself a special chicken biryani, good flavoring, just enough spice, comes with a hard boiled egg and onions. I also ordered a goat chettinad which was also pretty spicy and tasted great. Got it with a side of garlic naan. Recommend all these things and prob more of a to go place rather than sit down.

A coworker brought us here while we were in town for work. We got a lot of food and shared it all. We started with appetizers of Bhel Puri, Ali Papdi Chaat, Pani Puri, and Chloe Bhatura. They were all incredible. They were the best Indian food I've ever had. My favorite was the Bhel Puri, but they were all great. For entrees, we got Curry Gobi Manchurian, Masala Dosa, and Dal Makhani. They were all very good. I liked the appetizers more, but this was still the best Indian food I've had. My favorite of the entrees was the Gobi Manchurian closely followed by the Dal Makhani. If you like Indian food, come here.

Have only used it for take out and delivery. Really like the way they make Chana Masala and Aloo Ghobi.

Southern Spice - Super flavorful chili paneer

Their prices are very reasonable and the food is absolutely delicious, ESPECIALLY their goat roast biryani. It was incredible! Rice was perfectly cooked, wonderfully spiced, and the portion of goat meat was generous and the meat was tender, fresh and flavorful. Their masala chai is also excellent. Great balance of a full flavored black tea that was very creamy and well spiced. We also tried the bitter chicken and the goat curry. Both were amazing. The butter chicken was rich, thick, and flavorful. The goat curry was perfect! Meat was tender, again great portion size of meat, and the curry itself was wonderfully spiced. You have the option of choosing your spice level - we chose spicy, and it was a good spice level for us since we do like spicy food. The dining area is bright and cheery and they have Tamil and Telegu movies playing on the screens. The girls at the front are just so kind. We were greeted right away and they chatted with us while we waited for our order. They really were so sweet and were able to give us recommendations on what to order and knew their menu so well. There is a spacious parking lot and plenty of handicap accessible spaces right near the restaurant which was helpful. Overall we had an excellent experience at Southern Spice. Great food, very fair prices, cooked well and authentic flavors. And I really cannot say enough about the hostess and waitress. Honestly some of the best service I have ever had. Will absolutely be back!

We went for dinner and the area is well lit. As you enter the restaurant you will see the nice decor and ambiance and the gelreetinf table. The staff greeted us and gave us a seating. The staff is very friendly. Note that this is a BYOB establishment. The team has done a fantastic job with the decor and tables. Plates wveryrhing make you feel a great experience. As we went through the menu, which is not robust but has a lot of options and you can see its south Indian style. We decided to order curry leaf chicken for appetizer, Special Andhra goat curry, chicken dum biryani, and garlic Naan. There were 5 other tables occupied at that time. The food started coming at a reasonable time. Curry leaf chicken didn't impress us at all. It was basically breaded chicken that would be used for chili chicken or Manchurian. Instead, they were topped with some curry leaves. Stay away from this dish The special goat curry, it was okay but nothing special about it. The meat was very tender and nicely cooked. The curry is just standard onions, tomato sauce with more red chili powder. I will not recommend this as well. To mix it with rice, it tasted good. The garlic Naan was perfect, but little on the greasier side, but went well with the goat curry. The dum biryani was probably the better one, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The rice was a little dry but manageable. This restaurant has the potential to become a major player in the area but needs minor tweaking and focus on the recipes. Will definitely try one more time.

I went to this place for lunch last Friday with a friend. I had been in the mood for Shrimp Korma…read more However, the only Korma on the menu was chicken. I asked if I could have a different protein and was told there were no substitutions. I ordered the Chicken Korma. The good news is that it was delicious! The bad news is that it was $18.99. The bill came to a little over $20 with tax. When you add a 20% tip my lunch was $24.15. All I had was Chicken Korma and a glass of water. Also, aside from the glass of water there was nothing else offered. My personal opinion is if they want to build their lunch business they need a smaller & lower priced lunch menu - maybe offer a lunch special of 10 main courses to choose from, a bowl of rice, a basket of papad with a trio of condiments, and a drink (maybe some masala tea or a soft drink), or a buffet. If you would like to go for lunch with a friend I suggest you split a main course and order samosas, (2 for $6.99), which my friend said were very good or maybe the garlic naan for $4.99. That will get you a nice lunch for $16.36 or $15.10, each, which includes a 20% tip. Restaurants need to realize a few things. - Baby Boomers like going out to lunch. - Many of us have cataracts and can't see well at night. - We don't eat as much as we did when we were young. -Many of us live on fixed incomes. - Given the choice of going out more often and spending less, (having no leftovers), or taking home half an expensive meal to eat for dinner and going out less often, I think many of us would choose the former. Conclusion: The food is fantastic. The ambiance is okay. The service is okay - it is not typical friendly Indian hospitality. Accessibility: My friend is handicapped, and, although I looked, I did not see a ramp or a handicap space nearby. The curbs are high and the prices seem a bit high as well. Would I go back? I would but I'd employ the tactics I suggested above: Go with friends, order half as many entrees as people, and get a selection of appetizers, naan, and desserts. This will give you plenty of food and a more enjoyable, affordable, and lengthier dining experience.

We were seated in the dining area, which was cozy, not sure if they had additional seating elsewhere since I did see stairs leading upstairs. We ordered butter chicken wings, palak paneer, Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biryani and some garlic naan, all mild in spice level. The food came out pretty fast, which was a plus since we were both hungry from a long day. Everything tasted great, and the spice level was just right for us. Though not many patrons dining in at the time, they had quite a few to-go orders and pickups while we were there. Would definitely go back again.
