The Safeway on Highway 99 in Edmonds has been one of the Safeway locations I have frequented when living in the Shoreline area. The parking lot can be tight to pull and out of, though there tends to be open parking spaces and the spaces/parking aisles themselves are relatively easy/straightforward to maneuver. The store front has been clearly marked and easy to access. Sections within the store are well labeled and offerings diverse. Some items sell out faster than others, but I have not found there to be big hinderances in purchasing a certain item. If sold out in one brand, I might go with another. On my most recent visit, on Thursday 28 December 2023, I got a MrBeast (who has over 220 million subscribers on YouTube as of writing this review on Saturday 30 December 2023) chocolate bar. Three of the four flavors were sold out, but I was happy to find a number of the milk chocolate bars left. The packaging and bar were not damaged in any way. Self check out had a worker overseeing the stations, and payment went without hiccup(s).

It was my first time purchasing five gift cards at once from Safeway, and I was delighted when Nathan, the cashier, offered the option to use the Amazon card without any additional charge. Originally I'm going to purchase, visa cards with additional charges! Safeway is our go-to for convenient purchases, making it worth every visit. Again thank you Nathan even if his always have a long line customers then one cashier open, which is Cameron for being patience, thanks both. Learning how to save money in various ways is always a plus aside donation if you want

Safeway is a little further away for me to walk but they still have a good selection of basic items and a nice bakery.

He's…read moresomewhat right as it has a similar feel, but the portions aren't giant and the prices on many things are indeed competitive. The big attraction here is the Bulk section that has many options - rice, pasta, beans, grains and more. My frequently visited bulk section is the pet treats area. scored chew bones for the pup here at a great deal and less packaging than if I go someplace else. I like how they target us consumers with literal signs showing the price comparisons to the likes of Safeway, Walmart and my personal favorite Fred Meyer which is my main grocery shop and even some prices at WinCo beat them. At the same time, not EVERYthing at WinCo is a deal, or if it is lower, it is negligible. Sticking with the pet food, a 6 individual cans of Purina One, (my preferred) dog canned food is $1.85 here, down from $1.99 at Freddies, I'm all about saving money and frugality, but I couldn't imagine going out of the way for that. Alcohol here is actually more expensive that Freddies or otherwise here at $12.99 for Georgetown 6 packs, compared to $10.99 at Freddies. These are but a few measures, so I know there are deals to be had, but it pays to be a savvy shopper too. My hang ups here are they don't take Credit card. I'm sure that's to help cut down on their expense and middleman, etc. but that's annoying. Also I don't know if it's me but it just feels even more cramped in here than the already cramped markets, we all frequent. I felt like I was constantly blocking somebody even with my cart pulled all the way to the side. Beyond that WinCo is ok.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #103…read more This review is specifically for the BF Cafe & Bakery located inside the Edmonds Ranch 99. I wouldn't normally get boba here, but Ranch 99 was offering a $2 boba promotion at BF Cafe with $30 grocery purchase. I might as well try the place for just $2. Green Milk Tea ($2) - Strangely enough, the first flavor to emerge is the taste of coffee. I wonder if there is some contamination going on here. Perhaps the water dispenser they use for the tea is the same as the coffee. After the coffee taste, there's a bit of smokiness and bitterness. Finally, a layer that's like an unpleasant concentration of Chinese herbs. Like a mixture of wolfberry, jujube, and whatever else is in a Chinese herbal medicine concoction. It's not a pleasant taste and reminds me of what my parents used to treat me with when sick as a child. I didn't adjust the sweetness, but it's surprisingly not very sweet. Probably 25% sweetness compared to most boba shops. The boba is not made in house and is preportioned in plastic packs, like in premade boba kits. The texture is decent, perhaps a bit leathery and firm in chew, but decent bounce levels. Since they only use a single pack of boba for a 22 ounce drink, there's not nearly enough (typically a single pack is for a powdered 11 ounce drink). Milk Tea Rating: 1.5/5 Boba Rating: 3/5 So yeah, the drinks served here aren't the best. I haven't bought any pastries or bread from BF Cafe, but I'm sure they are better.

Radishes, greens, bokchoy, mushrooms, all the good stuff may be had here at reasonable prices (and some freshly picked). I like that the store isn't a massive scale chain like H Mart. Whatever you need for your Asian kitchen needs including all the varieties of soy sauces, vinegars, oils may be had here. The fish selection is impressive. A good variety of frozen dumplings. Good rice brands. Lots and lots of Korean teas (jujube/barley/ rice etc.) Fresh prepared food: a full kitchen at the rear of the store offers prepared meals and Korean catering. They offer freshly rolled kim bap (vegetarian friendly versions included). Tasty freshly rolled kim bap is a big draw! I recently picked up a tub of fermented soybean paste stew (Doenjang jiggae). I dressed it up at home with additional shrimp and sauteed peppers, seaweed, and steamed rice -- delicious! I find shopping here very pleasant and I love to patronize a smaller grocery store tucked away in one of Edmonds' Asian enclaves!
