So, if you get a rock chip and it hasn't spread immediately, don't take your car through a car wash. Oops. That was really stupid. Now rather than filling a little star-shaped rock chip, I'm replacing the entire windshield. To be fair, I'd forgotten about the rock chip when the car went through the car wash. If you need to replace a windshield or fill a rock chip, you can book an appointment easily online with Safelite. Very efficient and fast service. We were there before the place opened, just before 8 a.m. on a weekday, as the appointment was at 8. Do you need new wipers? They have them. Do you also need a special coating on your new windshield, so that water just runs off it, they got it. Just pay more. They are probably competitive to other places for new windshield wipers unless you do them yourself. We waited for the car in the waiting room, but they didn't take long to have the new windshield in place. We were advised not to go through a car wash with the new windshield for the next 24 hours. I was in safelite auto glass on post street today. i was in there with my sister who had a problem with her 2017 Subaru outback after having the windshield replaced. upon arriving i learned that her car was having problems with the sensors located on the windshield that control her cruise control, forward, collision sensors and automatic breaking. these sensors are throwing codes on her car and putting her in direct immediate danger. after she spoke with the manager "scott" he repeatedly spoke over her while she was trying to speak, contradicting what she was saying and insisted she send it to the his buddy at the Subaru dealership across the street. By the time she got to the parking lott Scott had made her cry in a sexist display of mansplaining. This is a disgraceful act of trying to take advantage of a young woman who doesn't know alot about cars. she only just wanted him to correct the mistake he made when installing the windshield, so she could drive safe. this is not the first time i have had problems with this safelight location. they also broke a windshield in my freightliner while replacing it. the worst part was they left glass to fall from the dash, sun visors and vents. this all fell into our faces and eyes as we had to transport the truck to a collision center to have the dash completely disassembled and cleaned. safelite has no reguard for the saftey nor security for their customers nor do they have any integrity as a buisness. shame on safelite of post street. read more

My front windshield had a growing crack most of the way across it, necessitating a total replacement. Rather than have them come to my home or place of work, I took it to the shop. In a matter of hours it was back home. However, on the drivers side the glass was somewhat warped, and when it rained scratches showed down one side after the wipers passed. I called back to report and got my vehicle back in a couple days later, this time leaving it in the shop for the entire day. A Perfect job was done this time!! In addition, we received a can of window cleaner, and honestly, I have not seen my windows so clean in quite awhile, no matter what I do! So thank you, Safelite crew. If they had a minus, Scott Patchett and Safelite Auto glass on Post street in Spokane WA. would be getting a negative score. We have a 2020 Honda CRV EXL. These models come with tinted glass. On our way home from the glass replacement I noticed a couple of circles in the windshield. These should have came off with a simple cleaning. I told my wife no big deal I will take care of it when we get home. If I knew then what I know now, I would have turned around and had them finish the job. Fast forward a couple of weeks my wife stated that her car seems hotter than before the windshield was replaced. I checked and found the windshield was not tinted at all. I contacted Scott he stated they had put in a non factory replacement. This was the first we had heard of this. Nobody made mention of this non OEM windshield. I contacted Honda and was told these windshields are thinner and they have had issues with other customers and none OEM parts. Scott was rude and condescending to my wife and was talking over her. Scott also told her that our insurance company told them to use this non-factory replacement. So I contacted State Farm. I was told by my Agent of over 30 years they are required to disclose this information. Scott refused to give my wife his supervisors name and number. I was a Honda and Acura master tech for many years . The windshield in automobiles are part of the crash protection in a roll over situations. So for future customer if you choose to make the mistake we did ask these questions. 1. Is the glass going to be Original Equipment. If not then why. 2. Before you leave you should inspect the job down to the smallest details. Is the glass clean is the tint the same. 3. Print this complaint and ask Scott Patchett if it is the way he plans on handling you as a customer. read more

Beyond impressed with this team of great people! I needed a front window repair and scheduled an appointment via their online tool which was simple and easy. I got to my appointment and they looked at my vehicle and noted that I did not include in my appointment request to have a sun shade on my front glass, I actually didn't ever really think about it being such a great part of the window until they pointed it out. 'No problem' they said, we can get a front windshield with the shade from our warehouse - the price will be slightly higher (less than $20 more) in a day or two. They fixed the windshield with the glass with the shade which I am grateful for - I know I would have missed that shade if I didn't have it. They washed all the windows in my vehicle and vacuumed! They had already checked with my insurance and let me know approximately what the repair would cost. When I arrived the check in even with COVID was fast and easy. The waiting area was clean and well set up for social distancing. The technician noticed I had new wiper blades in my car. He came out and asked if I would like him to install them for me. When they brought my car around not only had they repaired my rock chip, replaced my wiper blades, they had washed all my windows, mirrors, and vacuumed my floorboards. Made an appointment for 9am. I was about 5 min late. I walked in with my two kids to a friendly environment. Some nice waiting chairs and a mini fridge of complimentary beverages (kids juice boxes, soda, and water) the gentleman at the front counter double checked to make sure the windshield they had for me was just perfect for my van and kindly let me know it would be about 1.5-2 hours. Sure enough, about an hour and a half later I got the call. Walked in, paid, got my receipt and warranty paperwork and was in my way. The reason for our visit was to fix a windshield chip which occurred driving from Seattle to Spokane. I questioned the repair, but was told it would be fine.Two weeks back in Seattle and the so called repair is now a huge crack going in 4 directions. Safelite did NOT follow through on their guarantee. Instead I was told that the entire windshield needs to be replaced. Had my windshield replaced for a second time due to rocks falling off of a construction truck. Scheduling was easy and because of insurance, I was only out of $100. However, when the tech arived, he brould one that had a one inch scratch on it. I didn't want to wait any longer so I relunctantly agreed to let him install it. He was quick getting the job done but the next day I noticed that he did not replace the plastic piece that covers the wires to the rearview mirrror. These guys are awesome! First time I have gone to a shop to get it fixed/replaced, but this shop is near work. They had a replacement that had a little different tinting and they showed it to me first before installing. They said I would like it better and if I didn't they would make it right! I left my truck there and they called me in a few hours saying it was done, but that I could leave it there until I was done at work. When I picked up my truck, all the windows had been cleaned as well as the dash. Every employee I spoke with was polite and outgoing. Oh, and they were right! And then when the charges are disputed by you they will offer an 'apology' and some "discount" to bring your balance "closer to the original price quoted" as if they are doing you a 'favor'! If you, as the professional service provider, see a mistake was made when scheduling the order online, should that not be addressed with the customer as soon as or shortly thereafter the appointment is made? Not AFTER service is provided. As a "reputable" company you should be held responsible for YOUR negligence, instead of deflecting your error to your customers!
