because of our insurance we took our model Y to Safelite repair off I 35 in Austin, Texas. Not only did they not align the car properly so that we have it calibrated for full self driving. They also damaged the front camera that's on the windshield by damaging it, stripping off the finish and it appears they tried to glue it back. Now they are forcing us to go back to show them the damage they want the card to drive the car again by themselves. And we are asking them to reimburse us for the money we're gonna have to spend at Tesla to get this fixed. Absolute terrible service. And they should never be allowed to touch any Tesla vehicles.

Terrible crew. Poor tech staff. Overall a a scam. Made the situation worse by my making a crack that fixable , into a job that requires a full windshield replacement.

Dented window

Safelite has canceled my appointment three times now. First time, no vin. I provided vin TWICE. They canceled again for no vin. Most recently, this shop told me the cancellation was due to a back order. Funny thing is, I called Volkswagen after work, and the part isn't back ordered at all. It can actually be here Friday. Go anywhere but here -- unless you want someone blatantly lying to you about your service. For the person who told me to chat with an agent on my Google review-- If y'all think I haven't been "chatting with agents," you're insane. I've talked to agents 5-6 times and ONE of them helped me by sending me YOUR number where YOUR STAFF lied to us over and over again, one of which even lied claiming he was Zach (the manager, according to y'all's customer service team) turns out, his name is Paul or something of the sort. Today, y'all went from "the part is on a national back order" to "it will be here tomorrow or Saturday" BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER BACKORDERED. Lunacy, truly. Update -- they dented my window upon install.

Damage on the panel trim!

I've been waiting for 2 months for the store to reach out to me regarding replacing the interior panel trim on my car, that they damaged. I also have 3 scuff marks on the window that happened when they had to reinstall the window because it wasn't done right the first time. They've had to come out multiple times because they didn't install the wiper arms correctly and they came loose when I used them. Poor service at this location. Even tried calling customer care and no answer. Wrote the CEO and the EVP and still no response. Worst company ever.

Stopped pulling after I saw this... left both pieces of tape on for them to look at tomorrow. Looks like normal duct tape.

If I could give this place a zero I would. Not only did they install the back windshield improperly the first time causing water to come into my vehicle, the second time they fixed my front windshield and the tape ripped off my paint. I was told to come in for a "warranty" appointment to look at the tape and was told that there was nothing they could do. The technician Michael D. said he instructed to remove the tape after 30 minutes but that is 100% false as it was pouring rain that day and my vehicle wasn't even in my possession until 430 pm that day after being notified the second repair was done at 4 pm. How could I physically remove the tape if I couldn't pickup the car until the evening? DO NOT go here unless you want your car damaged and poor customer service. When asked to escalate the issue, I was told he's the manager and to call a call center. Horrible shop. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to pay more to get your car fixed after taking it to them.

the $405 online quote...

DO NOT GO HERE! charged me more than double the quoted price online without my consent!!!! the online quoted price was quoted $405 online, they even sent me a coupon for $150 off so i was expecting to pay closer to $300. I dropped my car off and was never told that there would be any extra fees. a few hours later i get a text that they charged my card on file for $761... no warning or discussion before they did this. they told me they had to charge me $450 extra recalibration fee which was warned on their website but at no point does the website or their staff tell you the cost until the work has already been done. go somewhere else more affordable and more honest. I feel completely scammed. hope i can help some others avoid this horrible experience.

Hello Updating My Review from Google Map Again…read more I am so disappointed about the install. The windshield installed had a chipped edge, surface scratches all over, and during the install they made zero effort to cover the interior of my car so had shattered glass all over the inside. The guy tried to vacuum it with a shop vac, but there's so much glass. It's inside of my vent on top of my stereo screen on the floor of my car. What's even crazier is when I voiced a concern about this is he told me this is how he's been doing it for 10 years and no other customers complained about glass shards all over their car. I find this incredibly hard to believe. I don't know anyone who likes glass shards in the car. Then he told me that I get what I pay for because I was trying to pay a lower price, I was going to get a lower quality job. I have never heard of such a crazy thing! Anybody who has a job should be trying to do their best at their job every day. Even if you were getting paid zero dollars, you should still do your best work. Always! I appreciate the installer being willing to warranty the glass and put in a new one, but due to the mess the first time there's no way I'm going to let him touch my car again. So I called around to a corporate company to quote a new windshield and I found out that their prices are less. So really the whole idea that you get what you pay for is complete nonsense. This guy is charging more than the corporate guys and doing a worse job. I learned my lesson this time. ***Update: when the new company out came to remove this dinged up windshield, they discovered that Azaz used some abnormally thick glue to bond the windshield and there were giant globs of it along the inside hood of the car. Their tools broke trying to cut through the crazy adhesive. PS in case anyone else wants to avoid this experience ASK before the install to cover your car! If you have glass shards inside the car use the car goop to clean it. Change your air filter so you don't breathe in glass shards!!
