Jose, who is the 'J' in J-1, does beautiful, quick, and reliable work: after Twomey's recommended him to me, I was able to reach him at 8:30 in the morning; by 1:30 he was at my house repairing the rear window of my SUV. He fixed the window quickly, and the final result looked better than it did when I bought the car. He cleaned up all the broken glass that had fallen from the rear window, and all of it only cost me $240. If I could give him six stars--or more--I would. Highly recommended! read more

Called him at 7:35am and he was able to come out to my workplace and fix my rear windshield within 3 hours. Good price compared to going to the big shops. read more

Totally forgot to give J1 a review after using them back in January. I've been referring everybody to him since I was so happy with his work. Long story short, I needed a new windshield on my Mini Cooper and every place I called said that nobody had the right windshield in stock and the earliest anybody would do it was the next day. Most of the following week. J1 figured out how to get the right windshield and come to me same day for the job. He was also competitively priced with everybody else. Excellent service and the windshield has caused me no issues in the last 9 months. J1 is the first company I will call for any windshield job hands down. read more

Jose was amazing. He drove to my house and fixed my window in less then 30 minutes. Very polite and genuine. Totally going to call this company again if I need more window repairs. read more

Reliable and excellent affordable service . I would recommend "J1 auto glass " to anyone wants the job done fast and right

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with J1 definitely warrants one. I had a need to replace my windshield after getting hit by something flying off a truck on 35. Jose was super responsive with a very decently priced quote, came out to my home and took care of the install in 30 mins. Now my windshield looks brand new! If you're in need of excellent service for auto glass replacement, go to J1. read more

Jose quoted and installed my windshield the same day, and came to my house. Great work and $80 less than the lowest quote received from other shops. Very friendly and professional! I highly recommend them! read more

Had to replace a side window on my truck. Nobody around me had it in stock and I needed it that day. It was worth the 2-hour drive for me. Jose met me at a convenient spot and had it done in under an hour, including the cleanup. He was also the least expensive of the 5 or so people I called. I would definitely use him again!!! read more

Rear windshield was completely shattered while driving. Called and got a quote less than SafeLite, they had the correct replacement in stock and they came to my place to repair it same day!! Can't recommend enough. THANK YOU!!!!! read more

Jose deserves a medal! I first worked with him when I needed to replace my windshield. He quoted me $200 less than Safelite and got me IN THE SAME DAY and he came to my place. Safelite said they couldn't get me in until 3 weeks later. The second time I worked with him was a few weeks later when someone smashed my window and stole my purse. I really was stressed out, but again Jose came the day of. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but I called him at 4PM and he came to my place at a 5PM on a FRIDAY. This man is a saint. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my car with a broken window on my street and he really was fast, efficient and reliable in a time of distress after my break in. THANK YOU, JOSE!!!!!! read more

I have to confirm all 5 stars. Very friendly and professional service. Thank you again. read more

Used J1 after somebody broke into my car and smashed my window, he was flexible, fast, and the price was about half of what other places had quoted me. Can't recommend this service enough!! read more

I've used J1 before and they were great. Now we need service again but I've called 5 times over the past two days but straight to vmail and no return call. Are they still in business? Hopefully this review gets someone's attention. I will update/delete if someone will call back Jonathan at BTG! You'll know the number because I've left it in my messages. read more

Beware!!! Don't hire this service, I did it and now I have a big problem, the first time he repaired my car the rubber of the windshield detached after just 1 week, the second time was detached after 1 month, when I called him to complain, because his web site says "lifetime guarantee", he hang me the phone and not answer after that, beware don't hire this company! read more

Called Jose in something of a panic, my car was broken into on Sunday. Smashed the passenger side window completely and stole my purse!!! No one would come out on a Sunday, and the first few not after 3:30 on weekdays. (I do understand that they want their employees back to the shop by 5:00. Then I called J1 Auto Glass and spoke to Jose. He was very friendly and willing to come to my house (where my car was) at 6:30 since I had to drive (my husbands car) back from my job in Georgetown. Did a great, quick job! Would highly recommend! read more

Thank you Jose! I called yesterday afternoon and got my estimate and confirmed he had my windshield in-stock. He said he could be at my office the next morning at 10:30 am. He arrived right on-time...quickly installed my new windshield and it looks awesome!! I would recommend him to anyone needing a new windshield...extremely professional and the price was spot-on!! read more

These folks were fast, efficient and the glass was high quality! I called several places ... These happened to be the cheapest but I chose them because they could get to the car the Quickest. Best glass installation I have ever had! (All of three). The High quote was 299 plus tax Their quote was 160 with tax... I called at noon and they were done by 2:05! read more

José at J1 is AWESOME! I called to see about getting my windshield replaced, and he was at my house doing the job in 2 hours! He even let me lurk around and watch (interesting process). To sum it up, fast, friendly, and saved me more than $100 over the competition. I highly recommend!!! read more

Jose & his helper did a great job. Very friendly, professional & very reasonable + came to me in San Antonio. After the hail storm other places were 2 weeks or more out unless you wanted to pay $400. Highly recommended & glad to give him my business!! No wonder he has such great reviews! read more

Jose did an amazing job! My front windshield was hit by a rock on 1-35 leaving a golf ball sized crack. I called Jose for a quote and his prices were the best prices I could find. He also has mobile service which means he comes out to your location! He conveniently came out to my house and replaced my front windshield in less than 2 hours. He did a phenomenal job. It came with a warranty as well! Ironically it was raining which was perfect to see if there would be an leaks and there weren't! I highly recommend J1 auto glass. read more

I couldn't be happier with the quality and the service I received from J1 Auto Glass. I was devastated when someone broke into my car and busted out the whole right side of my windows. Insurance deductible was kind of high compared to what I was quoted by J1. I called in the morning and he was out that afternoon to help me out. He should be your go to for auto glass repair. read more

Called around after the recent hail storm in San Antonio to find a place to get my boyfriend's destroyed windshield replaced, and after finding everything was booked in SA for a month, decided to try Austin. Called and got an end-of-day Saturday appointment at J1, and planned the whole weekend around it. Showed up and called to find the guy, and he texted back he'd have to cancel, sorry he didn't let us know sooner. At this point it was too late to get another appointment anywhere else, so we're SOL until next weekend, and with a very rainy week coming up, too. Very disappointing, very unprofessional. read more

I had a crystally residue on my Jeep Wrangler winsdshield that obstructed my vision in the direct sunlight - very dangerous on 290W at dusk. I assumed it was tree sap, but after a year of failed solutions, my only explanation was that it was industrial paint carried over by the wind from a nearby construction site - I noticed it around the time I was parked near one. Time for replacement. I callled the usual suspects (Safelite, Binswanger) and no one could do business without an appointment or other red tape. I called José at J1 and he came to me at my own covenience. Fast, friendly, solid repair, and comparable, if not cheaper, cost. This guy is fair and committed to his workmanship. Highly recommended. read more

A starburst crack in my windshield that quickly became a monstrosity due to the fluctuating weather in Austin this week. Called my insurance and found out my deductible was $400. Safelite which is still fantastic gave me a quote of $340. I started shopping around the area and found J1 Auto. Good reviews and close to me. Gave them a call and received a quote that was definitely more my speed of being frugal. Called at lunch time and they come out to me at 3:30. Now I have a complete windshield without the crack. Jose the technician was great, friendly, and professional. Replaced the stickers on the inside and let me know to wait 24 hours before removing the tape and car washes. I am so pleased with the service I received and will definitely be referring everyone to them. read more

JJ Autoglass was fantastic! They came to my home and replaced my Miata's windshield in literally the amount of time it took for my neighbor and I to have some back and forth neighborly banter (about 15 minutes). Super friendly and professional. The best part of it all was how ridiculously cheap it was!! Efficient. Quick. Cost effective. No BS. I can now fully pass TX inspection, safely! read more

Best service in Austin! I've had my car broken into 4 times in Austin, so I'm an expert!!

Hello Yelp Readers, Happy Friday! I'm the guy who called this gentleman about a windshield to be replaced on my girlfriends car. I'm sorry we didn't meet at 10am or 10:29am when he arrived. I gave him another number to call for the gate upon arriving and he repeated it back to me. Also, my girlfriend waited and called him, but no response. To use the vulger language that he displayed on my girlfriends voicemail was EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE. I called him because he had one of the best records of all his competators, not to send him on a wild goose chase. To do business with this company, I will not or ever refer anyone. If your on a budjet and you have no other choice, then maybe this is the guy to do business with. I'm a business man myself and if I ever left a voicemail on any of my customers phone like this one, I'd expect a husband, partner or boyfriend at the door step of my business. I'd expect them to do the same thing I'm doing right now. To hear this voicemail, text me at 512-945-6028. I do not mind sharing this with anyone. Yelp Readers, have a great weekend and thank you for listening. read more
