I remember when I first completed my papers at public storage Mountainside, NJ. Matt the manager asked me to write a review and my spirit with a loud voice said no, I never did. During the severe raining season my unit was flooded, after I made numerous complaints, I continued paying my unit two weeks before due date. All my child belongings was destroyed and I humbly kept my cool. I contacted Sedgwick Insurance which dispersed a little over two thousand dollars. This is when the problem began and I was introduced to public storage Karen. I explained to the manager that I had to buy over 60 sterilite containers to replace the box. I had to beg to be moved to a new unit and the manager wanted me to pay to move to a new unit, this is where I finally had enough and realized how evil these people were. After finally moving to the new unit, explaining to them I can't put the molded furniture in the new unit (this is after throwing away so many furniture) that my child has breathing issues and asthma . Matt was okay with it and informed me to contact the insurance company for more money in which I did. Sedgwick Insurance informed me that he misinformed me. He later existed me from the old unit and padlocked my old unit with PS (Public Storage) lock. I'm not sure how the contention and disrespect began but I believe he allegedly informed the district manager of my race and quiet demeanor that she felt she can call me, insult me and tell me that I'm giving her a headache and hang up on me. My girlfriends are upset yelling get your brothers, no it's time to react. So many men wanted to assist me in moving my stuff out but if they are falsely attacking me like this, I didn't want to get anyone involved in unnecessary drama. Why I kept my cool throughout this whole process was I experienced this in 2017. I had another Karen attack me, my brother who is a lawyer briefly got involved I told him no. My spirit said to let them finish. In 2017, my 2016 Toyota Camry was taken, my house was gone and my job was contacted. I thought I was crazy for believing in my spirit, I was not. A few months later in 2018, I was blessed with a FREE brand new 2016 Nissan Altima (identical to the Toyota but better) a small house and a new job in one of the best school districts in New Jersey. I watched the same people get into horrific car accidents, dying of illnesses, and life in chaos. The universe has to balance out and we all must pay for the evil we do to people especially those chosen for this task. Throughout this public storage nightmare , I watch my child heal a hundred percent. Exactly when I thanked God for everything, the teacher passed away. My heart broke and I begged God to wake this man up for me because no mother wants to see their child hurting. This teacher honored my child before he passed never ever knowing the hell she went through. So losing the belongings at public storage was nothing compared to losing a good teacher. I know my child understands that God will restore the material things back to her but people don't come back. As the district manager, the manager and public storage now owes me a debt. When you do evil to people, you owe them a debt. I write this not to defame anyone character but to share my truth and warning. I know there will eventually be court proceedings because the harassing phone calls has not ceased. So when storing your property at any storage unit, please do your research. It wasn't until I began preparing for public storage that I found out about previous flooding and complaints. Please do your research. For the district manager I believe this was to reveal who she is to herself and a warning to change. I remember a story I heard in 2003 from Joyce Myers and I see it right here.. "One thing people need to understand about extremely nice kind loving people is their other side is just as extreme, it's the hell that they have survive that makes them gentle don't mistake their self control for weakness, the beast inside them is sleeping NOT dead". Update: After writing this review yesterday, this morning public storage sent me a notice of lien on a unit that no longer belongs to me. This is the plan, so we are going to court and the public will see the excessive harassment.

Initiated 10 x 10 storage unit for $280 in April 2022 and by April 2024 they had raised the price…read morewithout my consent to $570!! This is an outrageous, price gauging unethical business that you should AVOID at all costs! I saw the charge on my credit card and immediately found a 10x 15 storage unit (also drive up, outside) one mile closer to home for $300! The price is locked in too! When I decided to move across the country coast to coast, I couldn't think of any other option. It started off in October when we sold our house & had to get rid of half of our house. Genmove did the Junk Removal service to get rid of our headache. As we ended up selling our house early, Genmove picked up our stuff & kept it in storage for 2 months. On getting possession of our new house, we informed Genmove & they expedited the shipment & we got it in 5 days! We just received our stuff. Johnny & his crew were excellent & moved the items safely & set them up perfectly. They were very careful & worked really hard. Thanks to Guy & Genmove team in executing our move flawlessly. Just so you guys know - if you store things here, it could be stolen. It's not a secure facility and they completely dismiss any concerns about their security practices. Contacting their customer service email does very little as well - it's been a month since I reached out to their customer care address and they haven't provided any substantive response. It's not worth the rent you're paying.

I found another number, and left 3 messages. Eventually someone called my back saying the message had gone to his cell phone and he wasn't in the office. He said he would text me to get more info when he was. That was on Friday July 3rd. By the following Wednesday I had still heard nothing, so I called the number that he had called back on. I left another message. Have still not heard back. I have now found another moving company

Horrible experience!  We rented a storage unit since 2016 at Cubesmart in Parsippany, NJ.  The…read morefacility is NOT rodent and pest controlled as they claim prior to renting.  We were told that there is monthly extermination and maintenance.  However, when we went to retrieve our possessions, we were astonished to find a severe rodent infestation with urine and feces all over the unit.  Please be aware, there was no food in our second floor unit, only furniture, boxes, and other belongings. They replaced the garage doors and obviously ransacked our unit.  All of the contents in our storage unit were rummaged through and thrown about with damage to all of our belongings and furniture; with broken lamps, paintings, as well as family heirlooms.  We also had items that were stolen from the unit.   We attempted to get compensation through Cubesmart's insurance, only to be rejected as they claim that rodent damage is not covered through the insurance the provide.  Please be aware that this damage was not only caused by rodents, but also vandalized by their people as well. After paying four years of rent, our entire storage unit is now unsalvageable.  I am pregnant and cannot be exposed to these toxins.  We cannot salvage any of our possessions and I don't know how to even begin to assess the damages.  This is unacceptable that Cubesmart is not reimbursing us for this disaster!  Do not rent from this company.  It's a nightmare!

Premises are always clean and well maintained, issues with the gate and elevators are always addressed within hours. PEOPLE is the unpleasant experience at this place, it is common to see trash left by people around the main entrance, damages, and even big drops of paint. Too bad. I wish the price paid for the units would stay the same at least for a full year, but rent increases happen every 6 months. No matter what, I find this location very convenient, being a mile distance from home.

Update* It…read morecontinues to sadden me to report no response from corporate customer care on the broken air conditioner and humidity matter in my unit on the 3rd floor. I removed 7 full moisture absorbers from my unit today and added in 5 big tubs and 15 smaller in tub moisture absorbers. I'm paying for climate controlled and having to spend an additional $200 on moisture absorbers which I shouldn't have to given I'm paying for a climate controlled unit. There definitely seems to be lack of proper property management and corporate leadership at this facility. They seem to be unwilling to replace the air conditioners after 6 months of dealing with this problems that I only was made aware of by my own doing the end of September. I'm trying to resolve this matter to no avail. I'm giving management and leadership 48 hours to contact me to resolve this or I'm going to the investigator News reporter because you are defrauding customers not suppling the services I'm paying for.
