If you are considering using Safe Haven security... Run away. They promote themselves as authorized ADT dealers so I was expecting Google security equipment as that is what ADT advertises on their web site and commercials, but what was installed was old, out dated and defective equipment. My security panels made a non stop buzzing noise and when I tried to get it replaced I was told I had to purchase new equipment. I ended up canceling my service and they ended up suing me. This is a terrible company and you should run away from them. read more

They knocked on our door under the guise of ADT. I had planned on buying a system so was fine getting a deal from the sales man. He sold me a bunch of stuff and I felt the price to be fair for what I was getting. A few days later a tech came with the wrong equipment. He tried to guilt me into allowing him to install the equipment into my home saying "the sales rep will have to pay for your mistake" (not my mistake, I was clear about wanting a door bell camera and he brought a security camera). He suggested I hire an electrician bc it would be a very difficult job for him. I told him that wasn't the agreement. He came back 2 weeks later with the right camera (it took him ten minutes to install it) he also lied about it having to be connected to a real door bell. They also installed a faulty sensor in my kitchen and I'm still waiting for a second sensor we paid for (it's been 3 months). Now my smoke detector is failing. This company seems super shady and if I knew they were an authorized dealer I would've done more research. They told me they were ADT and obviously we all know ADT I didn't think anything of it, shame on me. I'd recommend literally any other vendor going forward. read more

Install was a mess and then trying to cancel the ADT service has to be done with Safe Haven (not ADT) - so far I've spent 4 hours on the phone and still not through to someone who on "the cancellation team." It's a dirty tactic, one that shouldn't go unnoticed. Bad deal, don't do business with them. read more

Totally mixed impression. Installer was a totally knowledgeable and well mannered guy who was very good at what he does. Unfortunately, these people are a subcontracter through ADT and its an absolute nightmare to deal with system configuration or billing in any way shape or form. ADT will tell you Safehaven handles something, Safehaven will tell you ADT handles something. Around and around you will go until you realize you've wasted precious days of your life dealing with what is essentially just placebo security. Take responsibility for your own security, there are plenty of awesome surveillance systems available with online retailers. Make sure you never have to deal with this mess in the first place. read more

My boyfriend and I moved into our home and within days these vultures descended. He spoke to one rep who promised everything under the moon. As we weren't ready we waited and got pounced on by yet another rep who made it sound like everything she was providing was some gift. Please. "Free install" yeah, if you don't mind paying $130 and waiting for a rebate. Now, that's a pretty common practice so I rolled my eyes but figured fine we need a system and I've used ADT in the past with no issues on other homes so we signed up. Now, it needs to be noted that the installer was very nice. Yet somehow, supposedly even though the 'manager' and us had agreed to all these things we were having done and had papers that we - our mistake - assumed were for everything we talked about - we read them before we signed and from what we saw it seemed to be what we were asking for - yet somehow still needed 3 items we'd specifically spoken about yet magically weren't on the contract so we paid $162 for those items. I'll give you a "Free month" of service. Uh huh, again, if you pay it first and then get a rebate. Now, since this wasn't written on the contract - despite us having spoken about it several times - I called corporate to verify that it was in fact noted in the system. They just transfer you to the shady rep you dealt with and she acted like she was giving some great gift honoring this deal. Yeah, I've worked in sales enough to know you don't offer 'deals' you aren't authorized for prior and it's never really a 'deal' so shut the f up with acting high and mighty. Then acting like we only talked about it once so really I should be kissing her ass because she's still honoring it. I called ADT directly because I apparently I can't remove auto pay in the online platform, and get this, ADT needs 'permission' from Safe Haven to remove that auto pay. Excuse me? I am the client, I will manage my account how I please. Shady dealer. I love ADT - but I would stay the f away from Safe Haven at all costs in the future. I spoke directly to ADT and they acquire the contracts after about a year so I'm going to just deal with it, but I'm not happy and I told ADT they need to re-think who they authorize as dealers for them. read more

Recently purchased a home and of course, who shows up on my doorstep from Safehaven, but an all too polite salesman promising the world. I Fall for his traps after he advised me that my prior ADT contract would Cancel and roll to another contract. So, I had 2 ADT contracts. Few days later, the installer shows up, doesn't bring the right equipment, and refuses to do a takeover of my previous system. I called the "sales manager" and we worked out some of it, still didn't have the equipment he had promised. As the technician leaves, I noticed he destroyed the connections in my old systems alarm box and left wires all over in the closet. So, I had enough and cancelled before my 3 days was up. Today the technician comes to my home to remove the equipment, leaves a nice hole in the wall, leaves adhesive tape stuck to the outlet cover, leaves drywall dust all over the floors, and damaged the custom molding around my doors where his "damage free" sensors were. I would purchase a shotgun and Rely on yourself before letting these damaging crooks in your home. read more

Installed ADT alarm system with Fire,carbon mono,and all doors and windows recently. The contractor was Safe Haven Security. The sales agent "Myra" that knocked on my door was too polite and enthusiastic. That was prob the first hint it was a pressure sale or deceptive. She lied about the insurance discount or didn't disclose that the customer needs to verify first. I did NOT get a discount from Travelers as she repeated several times. That was a big selling point. Now that I am locked in for 3 years, there is little I can do. I will be reporting it to BBB. Zip code 80013. read more

A guy named Steve showed up at my door in the pouring rain at about 7pm. I didn't recognize him, was home alone and didn't want to open the door. He kept insisting that my realtor sent him (we had recently purchased the home) which I knew wasn't true. When I refused to open the door and told him that I wasn't interested, he became very angry and aggressive with me. He said he would call my realtor and tell her that I was uncooperative and unwilling to open the door for him - yeah, OK go ahead and do that. As he was walking away I opened the door a tiny bit and asked him to please not return - he turned around and screamed at me 'OH DON'T WORRY, I WON'T!!!!' I called the number on the flier he shoved through my door to complain - ugh, it was his cell phone. I hung up and he proceeded to call me several times throughout the night. STAY AWAY from these aggressive scam artists. read more

We just bought a new house, so I assume this "Steve" guy just watched the MLS listings to see this chance to sell his deal-of-a-lifetime to us. First, he pulled up in front of my house while I was watering my lawn, he didn't identify himself or even get out of his Honda. He said the same thing as the other reviewer; "Hey your realtor gave me your info, blah blah blah". I couldn't hear him so I got closer to see WTF he wanted. Second, he gave me some cheesy flyer that had all the details. He smelled like an ashtray and he probably just got done rubbing one out at the local park. I took a picture of his ID and his license plate. He refused to give me a business card because he didn't want to "waste a card". I told him to leave before I called the cops. He was rude, he used scare tactics about how dangerous my neighborhood is, and he said I was going to be a victim. I wouldn't hire this guy to mow my lawn, let alone have his company install an alarm. I assumed it was a scam, so I just kept the flyer long enough to research his a$$ on the Google. I figure this guy is just casing houses so he can have his "crew" break into homes. Stay away from Steve, he is worthless. read more
