I had a great experience with Saf Keep Storage. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and easy to get to. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the management does an excellent job running the place.I currently rent two units and am planning to rent two more. The reason I need a warehouse is to store my furniture separately, item by item, rather than piling everything together. The current promotion is also a really good deal I didn't expect such a great offer, and it made the decision even easier. Highly recommended. read more

Saf Keep Storage - Office, Front of the gate - Self Storage Near Me - Hayward, California

Had a unit here for over three years and no issues with my stuff at all. I can't speak to storing bigger things here but if you just need a 5 by 5 they're great. I see there aren't that many reviews on Yelp so just giving a shout out to them and verifying that they're still going strong lol. Also, the staff is good and they do get in their patrol carts and go around the lot to keep an eye on things. So it doesn't feel deserted like some storage places do. read more

I went in recently to inquire about a unit and couldn't help but notice the handsome fit men that work here and their excellent customer service especially the ones with the shorter hair 10/10 customer service everywhere else as well I would recommend it to anyone looking for some storage read more

Facility and management is the absolute worse. So ignorant. Have an issue? Then report it to your renters insurance because they want nothing to do with you besides take your money. They have rodents , cockroaches and probably more. Ruined my furniture! DO NOT STORE HERE! read more

We have had many size storage units there for over 3-4 years. Office is help is sweet always helpful and reliable to assist and even the grounds helpers. We have had small to large storages there 4 different sizes. Never had any problems great discounts and helpful and safe. We still have a small storage there too read more

The rates are great. The staff is friendly. I never had any issues with my personal belongings in the storage. It's also clean and in a safe area read more

Great place for storage at very competitive prices - my neighbor should know, he stores a houseful of junk here! The staff is friendly and helpful. Clean, well-maintained, secure location. You can only get in and out with your special code. Down the road from Southland Mall so you can shop for more stuff to store! Don't forget to check out the website for specials: http://safkeep.com. read more

The staff at Saf Keep Storage was polite, efficient and knowledgeable, I would definitely recommend them for everyone who needs a storage unit. read more

Made my moving/storing experience breezy!! ALL staff members are customer friendly and extremely helpful. Went in during promotion- they made sure I received my discounts, and quickly accommodated when I needed a larger unit. Trying to move and store furniture 3x my size with "help" from my 5 year old (LOL) had to look incredibly comical, the receptionist sent over some unexpected help from their grounds manager that simply made my day!! So happy I chose this business, and feel completely safe storing my belongings with them!! read more

I really like this place, so quiet and a nice facility. The place is always clean and like the location, not on a busy street and easy to get in and out of, even with a big truck. Just wanted to say Thanks to everyone that works there, especially Tracey Saelee for everything she has done. read more

The facilities are well secured and monitored, they kept my items safe for four years without hassle. I emptied my storage today and needed to come and leave a review to comment on how well the staff, particularly Aaron, helped me with all my needs. Moving is stressful but his pleasantries and overall positive attitude was significant enough to warrant the effort of leaving a positive Yelp review. Thank you, Saf Keep Storage staff! read more

I rarely review services, but I had a great experience today at this location, so felt compelled to post. Renz and Leroy were super helpful! I needed to move some large items out of storage to my car, but didn't have a second set of hands. They offered to help and even assisted in disposing of some larger boxes I needed removed. I'd anticipated it was going to be a hassle, but thanks to them, it was fast and easy. Thank you! read more

Nice clean units. Easy access and access times. No gotcha clauses in their promotions like I experienced with Public Storage. Would recommend for sure. Friendly staff too. read more

Worst storage facility in the bay area! Management favorites certain people and harasses others. My girlfriend was using the bathroom and while she was in there a customer just opens door because the staff gave him a key! To a locked bathroom! They should be investigated cause they are definitely doing shady business there. The other reviews on here were obviously fake because the people mentioned are terrible. George harasses people and the manager is a liar. Avoid these people at all costs. Since they do nothing all day they spend the rest of their time harassing people and trying to make extra $ by charging up to $75 extra a month for reasons that aren't legit. read more

The process to get a storage unit was simple there was fees that I wasn't aware of for first day but, there cheaper than most Hayward Storage units. George helped me with my free 30 min move it which made everything get done faster. I should have listen to him though when he told me how to get out of there because now I have a scratch on my Jeep lol. read more

We found this place through an online search engine. The staff was really nice to work with. They made sure to explain everything to us. They made us feel at home! They had a cute little coffee machine for customers and very clean restroom facilities. The price for a 10 x 10 was pretty competitive for the area. The facility is very secure and a pass code is required to get in and out of the facility. In addition, there are lots of cameras. We are happy with our unit S - 7197! read more

I have had a unit at this location for over two years. In recent months George has been extremely courteous and always willing to assist me. Today I was assisted by Rafa. He also was a pleasure. Thank you both (George and Rafa)for assisting me!!! read more

Amanda and Leroy were super stars. I called in the morning and spoke with Amanda. she was very professional and knowledgeable. I told her I would be in later on that afternoon. When we arrived, she was very thorough in explaining everything ( storage unit, paperwork and truck) to my husband. She was very detail oriented and kept assuring us that the process would not take long. While we were there, she was multitasking with answering phones and also assisting walking customers. She then called Leroy to drive us to the unit. Leroy was very friendly and engaging and you could tell he likes his job and takes pride in the facility cleanliness. After showing us the unit, he drove us back so that we could finish the paperwork. When we were done with the paperwork, we began walking to the unit to put the lock on. The unit was a bit of a walk. Suddenly, Leroy came to us, and said that he would not allow us to walk such a distance, and for us to hop on in. The customer service experience in both employees was exceptional. I highly recommend, and I hope these employees receive acknowledgment and kudos from the facility. read more

This is my first storage unit and I had many questions to figure out how it works. Gina was friendly over the phone and in person. She answered all my questions and concerns and called me back when I left messages. On the day of, Roberto helped us move things in. If you schedule ahead, you can get lifting/moving help for free for 30 minutes. I'd never say no to an additional set of hands. Great place. FYI, you have to bring your own lock or you can buy it there. read more

I will definitely not be using this service. Horrible customer service. I called today to ask about a storage unit and the guy that I talked to was very rude and unhelpful. I had a question about the website and he told me that he could not help me because he had customers. He did not offer to call back or assist me in a different way. Also, the information he gave me did not match the website, so be careful when you are reserving or renting a unit online. read more

Thanks to Aaron for allowing me to get into my unit 15 minutes after the gate hours had closed. 8pm on Labor Day and he was helpful enough to open the gate to let me grab some important equipment needed first thing in the morning for work. He wouldn't take a tip when offered, but his help was greatly appreciated. Thanks again Aaron. read more

I'm giving this storage space a 3-star rating for a few reasons. 1 star for having a very nice and neat space. Inside and outside look clear of any trash, debris even foliage every time i visit. 1 star for prices. It was one of the cheaper locations we found after doing some research around the area. 1 star for your first free rental truck. The places they lack which could have given them a 5 star are customer service and misleading advertisements and promotions. The first day we came to visit the place, we were given really good customer service, the girl who worked there was very accommodating and gave us a great impression of the lot. When we came back to sign the contract, the price she quoted us was very different and she asked if we got itin writing. She didn't feel accommodating at all, in fact she looked maybe preoccupied or something in her mood was completely different from our initial meeting. When we had called their customer service line (which is apparently routed to a call center) the person on the phone had also quoted us the initial price. I'm wondering if their prices change often or if they just have really bad communication and quoted us for something else. Either way, it kind of felt shady, but still affordable. The next opportunity they missed was the misleading ad and promo online. They claim they have free move-in service, but that service has a very limited availability so we were unable to use it. They also claim they have a truck for use, but you have to reserve it really far in advance. It almost feels like they are phishing for business and doesn't make you feel good. If they were maybe more straight forward with the limitations, then maybe I wouldn't feel so deceived about it. Overall this place is "A-OK". It fits all our needs, the place is pretty private, and there are security cameras as well as an alarm that they claim to have on each storage unit as long as you punch in and out. read more

Bad customer service. Can't even get a free spin on your bday month when they sent you an email informing your free spin! BS!

I have been a client at Saf Keep Storage Hayward for almost 2 1/2 years and I have not been disappointed. Their facility is very clean & whenever I have needed to do some sorting or clean out of my belongings that I have there they were very accommodating. They enthusiastically let me use the site equipment, (dollies & flat carts). I love being able to pay my bill online without an extra convenience fee. The individual doors are alarmed. I found out cause one time I went in to the facility with another tenant & did not log in, so when I decided to look into my unit they came to my unit to see who was opening my door. That is very reassuring to know that they are on it like that. read more

I'm stoked about this place! Definitely the most affordable storage business in the bay. They told me I can rent a truck and someone will help me move in my stuff day of. This is super surprising but for someone who can't lift all that much, I'm thankful. Very friendly, good customer service and bang for the buck. read more

Great rates, professional staff, secure facility - definitely recommend. Be aware that if you pick a spot in the new building, there aren't as many parking spaces with direct access so it may be slightly inconvenient if you need to go in and out a lot on weekends. I do not so I'm very happy with my second-floor unit. read more

Great customer service George is great! Easy access to storage units! Prices are the best in town. Great perks like free rental Trucks, discount on locks, boxes and units themselves read more

The moving truck customers can use is extremely helpful. It's literally the easiest way to handle storage. The office staff and managers are very nice and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Space is pretty good. Good location. It was just hard to get a advance reservation, like a week before or so, which once I got to know their policy was fine. Communication could be little better. No response after leaving couple of voice messages. Just had to stop by the location to get the details. Would be nice if we can get a response back. Also, the truck, its just hard to book it for the day you are looking for since, they wont reserve your spot until 2 days in advance and wont reserve the truck until you sign the contract, which is fair. But if you would like to avail the free truck service, just make sure to sign the space well in advance. Overall satisfied. read more

I made my initial reservation via SpareFoot, which had the wrong rate, unit position, and size quoted. I've been with saf Keep for over five years now and I think they are the best . The staff is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. Once I forgot to lock my unit and when I went back they had put one of thier locks on it. I was so glad to know they look out for my stuff. They also have a flea market a couple times a year so you can sell your things . If you need storage Saf Keep in hayward is the place to go. read more

I recommend this storage to all the costumers in Hayward. The place is big and the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful especially George, Marshall and Genesis. At the end of the day, it all boils down to security and $$$ when it comes to finding the right storage place and this place is it given the location works for you. Initially thought somebody who looked a bit shady came in through the gates a few times I had visited my storage but contacted the manager and promptly learned that the man actually had a unit there. A handful of food trucks are parked in the property but are no problem in terms of blockage going around. Transition from one unit to another was not flawless but s### happens and it was eventually taken care of. Staff (especially Roberto) are quite friendly. read more

I have been with Saf Keep (on winton) for about a year and a half now. They have been great. They are clean and the staff is friendly. When I first came here I had gotten a really great deal on a small unit. I have since switched to a bigger unit, they have many sizes to choose from. The only thing I do not like about this place (which is why 4 instead of 5 stars) is that their rates seems to change a lot. I am not used to dealing with this sort of thing but it seems that is the norm in this area. I don't mind too much though because there are ways to get discounts such as referring your' friends. Over-all they are great. read more

This is my first time using a storage unit and the customer service was fantastic. We were helped every step of the way nothing based on what cost more but what worked for us best. The name of the man who helped us I can't recall at the moment but he was wonderful. EXCELLENT SERVICE! read more

Saf Keep was great, with the best rates in town. It was easy to get in and out. I had no problems for the 6 months I kept my things there. I would have given 5 stars if they were able to work with me and prorate when I vacated the unit. They didn't prorate because I didn't give them advance notice. It's not always easy to know the exact day you are going to be able to move everything out, so in that they are not flexible. read more

The staff is very nce and friendly i just wish they stayed open later. And i feel they should have more moving van avaiable.

I called looking for a storage and they were very knowledgeable on the phone as well in person. I needed a storage unit and saw this location on Yelp. Now I know why they have a good rating! They have a great staff here and they explained everything thoroughly making sure I understood it before signing the agreement. It is pretty convenient and it is very safe. I decided to store my belongings here during a recent home renovation. I found a great deal online and quickly reserved my unit. I live in SF so the Hayward location was a little out of the way, especially considering the storage facility's hours, but the excellent deal was totally worth it! The management team was awesome to work with and really made the ultimate difference here. When our construction project ran long they even worked with me on the price! How nice. Oh, and I love that they have a FREE moving truck for you to use too! I don't anticipate needed to use a storage unit again for sometime (thankfully no more home renovations are on the docket here) but as soon as I do I'll be headed back to Saf Keep. read more
