Just had a Saela sales person come to my door at 7:30pm and rang the door bell. We have a "no soliciting sign" posted right below the door bell that's impossible to miss. He either didn't see it or didn't care. By ringing the door bell, he woke our infant baby that we had just spent an hour getting down. When we told him this and pointed out the sign, he quickly tried to leave. BUT not before lying and attempting to misrepresent his intentions. He told us he wasn't a sales person but was going to be managing "the road" at our neighbors' and the neighbors two houses down. He told us he was "obligated" to inform us for "liability" reasons. He couldn't point out the road, he could articulate why he was there. He couldn't articulate the liability reasons. He said it was "in case we sue" when asked why we would sue, he couldn't provide an explanation. He kept looking at his wrist (that didn't have a watch) and kept saying that he "had to go" and "it was getting late." The entire exchange didn't make sense so we looked up the company on his hat and his jacket and lo and behold, it was a pest company. Not impressed with this exchange. You do not have permission to enter my property, perform any treatments, or charge me for any future services. Any unauthorized visits, treatments, or billings after this date will be strongly disputed. I have a mouse problem. I tried Angi's for a referral because everyone we hire so far has been good. It was 30 seconds before I got a call from this company. The person was very nice and wanted to set me up with a home visit the same day. Alarm bells rang when he wanted me to sign a contract before anyone arrived. I said no but talked him into scheduling the appointment. I went through the contract which is very long, and I had many, many questions. Then I went to Yelp and read the reviews. I cancelled the appointments immediately. The only thing is, I gave him my credit card number and that makes me very nervous. I will be watching my statement carefully. I would hesitate to sign a contract with Saela. Their sales rep that came to our door to sign us up was obnoxiously persistent. We tried telling him No Thank you many times but he kept pushing it. He finally offered half off all services, he broke us down and we just wanted him to leave so we caved in and signed. It's a mistake, the service was not great, didn't see any real improvement. We decided to cancel the service after a year and they charged us 80 dollars to cancel. Don't fall for the hype! read more

About a month ago we discovered a wasp nest under our roof and immediately called them to schedule a removal. 3 weeks and four phone calls later they informed us that they can't take care of it (after promising to get back to us within a day after each phone call). They said it is too high for them to reach. So basically I paid for the service as long as there was no issues, and once an issue came up they lied, drugged their feet and did not perform the service we were paying them for. Their sales reps came after 8p, very forceful, and despite having been refused and turned away, came back the very next evening when my husband and I weren't home, spoke with my college son (who has no authority to make decisions on behalf of the household), persuaded him to sign up at a discounted price, and NOT explicitly mentioning that there is an associated 12-month contract! 1) My son did NOT receive the discounted price he was promised. I urged him to call and ask that they honor the promised discounted price that the sales rep gave him. The company refused. 2) My son was NOT explicitly informed of a binding 12-month contract; it was all discussed ever so swiftly without going through the details. 3) My son got charged an additional $400 because of "contract cancellation"! This is supposedly 50% of the $800 total contract value. Again, these were all details that he was never informed about! And I know for a fact that if he may have agreed to a ONE-TIME service, there is no way he would sign up for an $800 12-month contract. He's in college and has no funds, and now has a balance on his credit card because of how he was deceived by this company! I called them today at (206) 244-3343 to have this issue escalated. I spoke with Bree, who then referred me to her supervisor "Mario" who is working from home and unable to assist me. She said that he'd call me back, so I then asked for Mario's number so I can call him directly---but apparently he only has a personal number and no work phone contact provided---pretty odd for someone who "works from home." Also, I asked for Mario's last name, which Bree refused to provide. This again is an issue; being in customer service the aim is to be accountable and provide transparency. We're a highly inconvenienced and swindled customers who are unable to call the decision-maker, and whose last name we do not know. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Signed up a couple months ago because a technician was in the neighborhood, and we've had persistent issues with odorous house ants all summer. Each time they treat, the ants are back within a few weeks. Most recently, the ants returned literally the day after a supposed treatment two weeks ago, finding a new path into our kitchen. We scheduled an appointment for today before noon, which was confirmed yesterday. The deadline is 10 minutes away and there is not even a message that a technician is on their way. Avoid at all costs. They record video of you WITHOUT consent which is illegal in the state of Washington. That should already tell you the company's shady methods. They'll promise you very enticing pricing deals as well as assure you that cancellations are "free". Yesterday stopped by a very professional salesman for Saela pest control and I am astonished by the work done. They stopped by around 1:10 and left around 3:15. I hadn't seen a single insect, bug, or ant and we had a good amount of ants. I was even more impresses by the fact the when nighttime came and we used the porch lights, there were still no insects, not a single spider, cobweb, egg sac. Consider myself a lost customer. I have had issues with their scheduling in the past , they build out their schedules for their techs and whether or not you confirm your "appointment" they show up regardless. They are told to come out quarterly but keep trying to come to my home every 10 weeks vs 12 I have told them to come at 12 more then once and they keep saying it's based on availability of the technician. I promise I am okay if you come at the 13 week mark. This week I had a tech show up to my house saying I was scheduled for a service I logged into my portal and there was no appointment there , not his fault he is just doing what he told. I called their customer service and they said that I am scheduled and they sent me a text and I told them I never saw the text nor did I confirm, and restated I have told them in the past to not show up in case we are not home, on vacation etc. She persisted to tell me to get me service since the tech was already there and that they could bill me in 30 days.
