As I said in my review, I offered to help and pay more money on the spot. Any perception of me being "hostile" was me being eager to do whatever it took to get the job done, including help. How else would anyone else who was on a time crunch act? Just sit back and take the lies? We were all adults here. I offer for anyone reading this to contact anyone I know on yelp... including my employer of 4 years and my previous employer of 17 years. They will attest what a compromising person I am and how I've bent over backward to help them, which I tried to do with these movers.

She told me it would be an hourly rate for a minimum of 3 hours + travel time, and "end of month fee". The movers turned up at 8.35am for a 9am appointment, they eventually came up to our apt at 9.15am. He surveyed our goods and said "ok no problem, we'll start with the boxes, i'll be right back" THE NEXT THING I GET IS A TEXT CANCELLING OUR MOVE at 9.35am! They claim our building we're uncooperative (UNTRUE ON SO MANY LEVELS) and that we were not packed... our entire apartment was packed and ready when they showed up. I had no discussion with the movers about this, they simply cancelled. Presumably because they couldn't be bothered to move on a Sunday. We had to find a last minute mover on a Sunday in July during COVID. THEY ARE THE WORST! avoid.

Everywhere a number is shown it says $95, but it also mentions 2hrs minimum, so the minimum total is $190 plus tip. If you're booking quickly, please be sure to recognize that even for a 1hr move you'll be paying over $200 with tip. Second, their site shows availability for the current day, but when you try to book or call, they will frequently say there is no availability (this happened to me twice). When you call in they'll try to book you for a later day. That is a bait and switch and takes up my time that I could have used to find a different mover. Finally, they denied me service today, partly because their drivers are unavailable (site shows availability for every time slot today), and partly because they said I was unhappy with the price I paid last time (which is true, I suggested they update their website, and the site still doesn't list "$190" anywhere as the minimum total). I give them two stars because the moving service was professional and seamless, but all the extra effort around scheduling and pricing make it not worth the hassle. Please note that they also push their customers to leave yelp reviews, which likely skews their overall rating higher than it otherwise would be.

I was moving a 5 medium sized pieces of furniture and needed a bed taken outside. I was working with Jahfari (spelling?) and one other mover and they used a sprinter van- $90/hr. They were great to work with, quick, careful, and had a good attitude. I used them for about 3 hours including travel. There was an ~$83 deposit, $100 for the COI which my building required, and the $90/hr and I tipped 25%. I moved from South Williamsburg to the East Village. I'm laying in a bed that I can't even push to a different side of the room because the bed frame was put on so carelessly, it will fall right off. I instructed them to put all the wardrobe boxes in the bedroom as well as bins. Why are there still 2 wardrobe boxes in my kitchen and plenty of space in the bedroom. And the most infuriating of all. My beautiful couches are sitting outside because they refused to give it a real effort. A 3 person sofa and a love seat. They stuck the 3 person sofa through the door frame and in about 3 minutes and not shedding one more drop off sweat the owner decided he refused to keep Trying. It was a major energy of "I know best" because you know, women don't know anything if they don't physically do it themselves??? He promptly put it back on the front of the house and his partner began tellling me how it'll be fine i can sell it reallly quick. They picked up my things from storage. I didn't pay a years worth of storage to tell it. After I sat there like WTF am I supposed to do, 5 feet tall starting at large belongings I can't move myself, I was so disappointed. And because I am a good person (or a huge pushover) I still tipped them. My family member reached out in outrage on my behalf (and my approval) pleading for them to come back and help me. This was my first time using movers and I could have went with a time-tested big name moving company, but alas, I love working with local small businesses. I read all of his reviews beforehand and the only negative one seemed to come from a crazy lady (the couch physically couldn't fit the door, how are you going to give one star for that?), so I crossed my fingers and went with it. Filip responded to all of my questions quickly and best of all, had a flat rate for the entire move. He showed up ON TIME and all of my things arrived in excellent condition. I'm very happy to report that the negative review was, in fact, an outlier. Filip did a wonderful job and I will be recommending him to all of my friends!
