If you could dream up a bag it is a Saddleback Bag. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and great you like a relative. Christy was VERY helpful and felt like she went out of her way to help me. But you can tell she treats everyone the same way. The same can be said but my cute Narnia guide (didn't catch her name). You have to visit to understand that statement. The bag is not just a bag, duffle or briefcase it is symbolic of the person that started, designed, built, and own them. It is not political or racially motivated. I got one of their medium sized briefcases, then a belt, and a wallet, and keychains...loved them all so I subscribed to their Saddleback Club and got the men's duffel bag and I think it's the perfect size for my travel and it looks awesome and heavy duty. There are several informative YouTube videos on virtually every Saddleback Leather product in circulation that I would highly recommend any savvy shopper to review. That said, I have made several purchases from this company. I have also returned an item within the 30 day window in my search for the perfect bag, therefore, I feel I am qualified to speak on both ends of the spectrum regarding their customer service, and I must say, it is a well deserved A++. Polite staff, professional, and prompt refund once item is received. I recently visited the showroom in Fort Worth with my family, and had the opportunity to meet the owners, Dave and his wife Suzette (who also offers a myriad of quality/unique leather items under the label "Love41." I couldn't believe how approachable and humble both were. They walked out onto the showroom and started explaining the different bags I was looking at, and demonstrating the variations in the packing and wear of them. I love the Saddleback products, but they have lost me as a customer. You can't order online, the site tells you items are in stock and it kicks out your order, they don't answer the phone, return voicemails or emails and at this point respond in any fashion. They do send out a lot of advertising emails, but if you can't back up your product, customers will migrate to someone who can. I wish them well, but I'd be surprised if they were around another year. read more

OMG! Visited the showroom with my brother in June 2019 and for a long time fan of SBL, this was the trip of a lifetime! Staff was extremely friendly and they even had a Narnia style closet with Dave's original briefcase in it (behind a curtain veiled passageway of course) Visit was awesome and can't wait to return. read more

The products are exquisite, and the staff are delightful. If you're not in the DFW area, I suggest relying exclusively on the chat function to solicit help with your online ordering. When I found that their warehouse and show room were within driving distance, I popped by. So I was fortunate to have a face-to-face with a few team members, and what a treat! This is a wonderful family-owned and operated business, so I can't encourage buyers enough to stick with Saddleback while they migrate their fulfillment systems. I bought a belt from this company through amazon and ordered a size 40 according to instructions by company. The belt I received was 4 ft . Then they made some comments about a sizing chart that they could not locate and said they would have to get back to me about actual size. Customer no service asked for pictures color and order number and then never responded back or did anything except make sarcastic suggestions about what I should do with the belt. A company that sells belts should know the size of the belts that are sold for 100 dollars. Company must be run by morons ! read more

To write this review is painful as I am a loyal Saddleback Leather Co. customer for over 10 years. I'll start by saying the quality of their products is excellent and their bags are noticed every time I step on a plane. With over 1.1 million miles on my bag, its barely broken in. Its the quality that gets the 2 stars. The reason for the poor review is the service levels. To echo others comments, to try an get someone to answer the phone in under 20 minutes is impossible...only to be dumped into voicemail. Messages are left for a call back (my time is money), without a return call. All this to ORDER ANOTHER BAG! In prior years, it was easy to speak to them. Used to be great (this is my 5th bag from them)...now they are making substandard products. Go ahead and try to get a customer representative on the phone in under an hour- chat is little better, normally takes 20 minutes or more before someone responds. Emails go unanswered for days. Once you finally reach someone, they are dismissive when told about defects chalking it all up to wear and tear (which seems a bit paradoxical given their warranty claims). For the money, I'd go with a reputable and more established company. read more

So I received my boot leather case for my iPhoneX and first look is that it looks nice real leather but once it's on the actual phone none of the cut outs are aligned and the phone keeps coming out the case. I've been trying to get saddleback on the phone but no answer, sent out a number of emails and no reply. I would definitely not waste my money on another on of there products. read more

I was warmly greeted upon entering even offered water or coffee. They used my name throughout my visit; was a very personal touch. I frequent Saddleback because the owners take care of their employees both here in the US and Mexico. They use their profits to make a difference in the world particularly in Rwanda. They are good people so you know that your money is not just purchasing great quality leather products; it's going to their staff and projects all over the globe. I run a Canadian dental office and have been in search of high quality personal protective gowns. Really great that this company saw a need and found a way to help people out - large and small. These gowns are great quality and should last a long time with multiple washes because of the seam design and craftsmanship. To put it mildly, I am a Saddleback Leather fan and have been so for many years now. I've owned several of their products during this time. Some pieces have come and some pieces have gone but one thing has always remained the same - these products are top notch all the way. When I heard that Saddleback Leather had opened a showroom, I was absolutely thrilled. Sure, I can order online but why not go to the source itself? I've been meaning to get to the showroom for quite some time. This past Saturday, I did just that. Finding the showroom was not all that difficult. It is in an industrial warehouse part of town but there is more than adequate signage to locate the showroom. The area of town is not run down though so do not let that deter you. One of the ladies that was running the showroom that day even waved when I pulled into the parking lot. How nice is that? When I walked in, I was in heaven. The aroma of the leather goods inside is nothing short of amazing. One of the other ladies working the showroom that day even joked that they had tried to burn candles inside one day and the customers asked them to blow them out because they wanted that leather smell. The showroom showcases all of the products currently in their catalog though not in every single color. When you go to ask them to pull an item for you, they go into their on site warehouse and pull the exact item in the exact color that you are looking for provided that it is in stock. They have some "retired" products on site that you can look at though they aren't for sale. They had Dave's leather suit on display. There's one more surprise but I won't ruin it here. Ask to take a peek behind the curtain. They'll know what you are looking for. I spent a good hour or two here. I left with a front pocket leather id wallet as well as a copper pen. I made a list of other items that I want for Christmas. Both ladies were very nice and extremely helpful. It was really great to chat with them both. Needless to say, I am a customer for life. I fully support the mission of Saddleback Leather Company. They do so much more than just make quality leather goods. This is a definite stop each time I am in the area.
