I'm finally getting around to writing this review that's been severely overdue. This shop sells the same quality clothes as Shein for 200x the price and Shein is faster at shipping and delivery. The owner is the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered and her business policies change daily... always to her benefit- never the customer. She refuses refunds except for store credit. Her sizing is a laughable joke as she provides no measurements just models that you're supposed to pick which one is closest to your size and go from there. But don't worry most of her items are vanity sized and she boasts they fit S-XXL just pick a size depending on how much room you need. If all that wasn't bad enough she posts her personal business on Facebook and Instagram and Tik Tok regularly and let me just say her entire persona is extremely offensive. Her coupon codes never work and she always blames her soon to be ex husband who isn't even affiliated with her business. She also frequently posts customer names and addresses on her Instagram! I made a purchase in 2013 and the quality was terrible. Chalked it up to being a generic online purchase and moved on. Fast forward SEVEN years and I'm getting multiple texts after midnight about "sales" despite requesting after each text to be removed from their list. Place must be awfully hard up for business if you're texting someone three times in 24 hours when they bought something from you once seven years ago. The other items included in the box or a pair of Kiki La Rue earphones that looks like something from an airplane and a portable charger and then some plastic tote bag with Kiki Larue on it. not worth $75 will never buy from them again. When I reached out to their customer service department about it they basically told me that I could just resell the items to try to get my money back total scam. read more

If anyone shops with them I do NOT recommend this store anymore. I bought a pair of Heather Jeans and they ripped after about 3 wears in the pocket. I've bought all my jeans from them and I've never had this issue before so I contacted the customer service department thinking it was just a defective jean. They proceeded to tell me that I needed to take them in to a seamstress to get them fixed because they couldn't do anything about it. Uhhh? Excuse me? I thought surely that isn't the case so I emailed Becka (THE OWNER) on January 2nd and to this day still haven't heard anything back. I reached out to the customer service line again and she told me "she(Becka) tends to not respond, but she did forward me the email back to say the same thing I did." I do not live in Texas, rather, up north in New Hampshire. I was introduced to kiki La rue by a friend. Their website is very easy to navigate. The owner Becca is very active not only on the store but online also. I have never bought. Clothes online before because I need to try it on. I don't look like the models on most websites. KLR uses "real" models they list their measurements and stats then I can see whom I relate to the most and buy accordingly. The staff responds to inquiries in a very timely manner, sometimes within minutes. I have never found a boutique I love as much as this one. I am planning a girls weekend trip with friends to Texas so we can go to their stores. I'm bringing an empty suitcase bc I know it will be full by the time I come home. Look no further if you want great, stylish, comfortable clothing for all body types. You will. It be disappointed. Oh last thing, the prices are amazing. I started out liking and following this boutique online. I made multiple purchases and referred my friends. I shopped at the warehouse event and the storefront. The clothing is hit and miss and frankly overpriced. I've found the exact same brand denim at Charlotte Russe for about 40% of the price. Blows my mind that women are paying $60 for denim you can elsewhere but whatever. If you need to return anything you have bought online, you can only get store credit. Or you can join a Buy Sell Trade page to sell to other people. If I want to return a product because it doesn't fit or wasn't the quality I expected, I would rather have my money back versus being forced to spend in the same store. I don't know what the storefront return policy. I started noticing some things that kinda bothered me: these "blazers" (more like thick blazer looking cardigans) came out late last spring) they were a hot item and sold out. Then they did a re-stock, the price increased. I'm sure it was was because it was a hot selling item or it could be explained by production costs etc. But people still flocked to get them at the higher price. Mind boggling. I have since stopped purchasing from this store period because the owner started kicking people out of the online FB VIP group for criticizing her business practices in another non-affiliated group. I wasn't even involved in any of it, I just heard about it and I was shocked. The owner played the victim and started posting all about it in the group. I don't like high school drama so I left all the groups, sold all my unworn still tagged clothing I bought from them, and I'm done. I won't support a business that acts like that. I think that as with any new store, Kiki LaRue went through some growing pains in their first years. I have always loved their clothes though, especially the DENIM, so I stuck around and I'm so glad I did. The store staff now is EXCELLENT and always willing to help you, whether you just need to find another size of an item or if you need a personal shopper to help you find the perfect dress for a banquet or shower. Bought a pair of the Benjamin jean a while back I had worn them a few times and noticed the zipper was super loose and would slide down just from me walking. So I contacted customer service because this is obviously a defect so they should be willing to exchange them. I explained this all in an email that I had worn them and then found this out. I got an email back saying that they would be willing to process the exchange even though the defect was my fault. Ok whatever, I'm just going to be thankful they said they would do it because they make it very clear they don't do returns. Well I do as her email says to log in and create my own return. And there is no button to let me do the return because it's past the 30 day limit. So I email back Denise (the customer service lady) and with screen shots of what's going on. She eventually gets back to me and tells me that it's the wrong order number. Well this is the only thing I have ever ordered online from Kiki LaRue so that can't be true. But I compare just in case I'm crazy. Again not crazy the order numbers are the same. So email her back again saying they are the same order number with a screen shot of my receipt. She emails back oh yeah, what are you trying to do? The same thing I've been trying to do for three weeks now Denise. Get it together! So I email her back a re-explain what I was trying to do. Then after a week she emails me back saying we can't process your return because the jeans have been worn and tags have been removed. I truly would have been fine if this would have been the original answer. But it took Denise a month to get me that answer, after multiple emails, and she originally said she would do it. ‍ I have even attached the emails to show our messages back and forth. Very annoyed by this especially because I have been in retail for going on 10 years now and would never treat a customer this way. I am giving this business two stars though because I have never had issues with the customer service at the store and they do have a cute selection of clothing. It was my first trip to the store today. We traveled from east Texas and had a great visit. The store was full of super cute things and had a great range of sizes. The coffee shop inside was a great find! I got an iced dirty chai and drank it so fast because it was super delicious! I wanted to try all the pastries because they looked amazing! The bathrooms were nice and the women's restroom had a changing table...which was a big blessing to my friend and myself who had 2 babies in tow! Does not deserve one star. Horrible customer service. I called the number for online orders and received an automated message that the voicemailbox was full. I then called the storefront and was told to text the number. I texted and asked for a phone call back. I received a text two days later, was told nothing could be done to offer store credit which was on my account (about 100$) until April when the site transitioned to a new "system". The person was rude and unhelpful saying that my order should have never had store credit anyway because I used a coupon code. Buyers beware!!! Online shopping at this store is not a good idea unless you are ok with not returning anything. Worst customer service EVER! Sale was posted on social media to fill a bag with clothing for $65. Arrived before the store opened and got in the line to check out, and ONLY ONE person working!! After waiting two hours in line I asked to put my items on hold. Tried coming back two times during the day and the line was still all the way around the store, would've been another two hour wait. Called and asked if I could have the items held till the next day, they refused- asked if I could put a credit card down on the items and was also refused. Negotiated with the worker to come in at closing time as I was in a class during the evening. When I arrived I was informed the "rules for the sale had changed" now I was only allowed four items- when there were plenty of other customers who had many more than four items in their bags earlier in the day! Made a comment about this on their social media page only to have the snotty owner put the blame on me and tell me not to come back in her store again! Obviously this owner has not been educated on how to run a business and feels entitled to treat people like garbage. She doesn't realize that I am a person with a lot of connections in the area and already have told many people that will not return to the store that are friends of mine. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. Go to site jabber.com and you will see how many other people have been treated terribly by the owner. In my 20 years of retail and store ownership as well as hospitality sales I have never seen someone that thinks they can get away with treating people so rudely. I have to say, I'm really surprised at past one star reviews for this place. They've been open a year now so maybe that's why? Not sure. All I can say is I LOVE this boutique. I discovered it about three months ago and have been every weekend since. As a mom of 2 small babies, this place (along with the coffee shop inside) has been my sanctuary for a few hours every weekend. Everything is well organized and the prices are actually affordable. They have an adjoining coffee shop I like to sit in (the brew junkie) and every single week the boutique has new items. The style of clothes are unique and fun. They have a huge range of sizes. Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love every single item I have ever bought from KiKi LaRue. From shoes to clothes to accessories everything has always been great quality. KLR has the staples you need but also the current trendy items that you want all while being versatile in style and sizing !!! I have never had a single issue with customer service, but I also don't expect special treatment. When I first visited the online version of the store I found several items I liked. The next few were hit and miss, but mainly because I wanted to try trendier items and they just did not seem to work. There were several things about the Insiders page I liked. The fact that all models were real and I could see how they fit on a curvy girl was nice. However, I found out that the owner of the store as the maturity of a junior high girl. If you dare speak out against her questionable business practices you are barred. First there was an item I really wanted and it was being sold as part of a BOXed by Becca. 5 items for$75. On the VIP page she stated that the sweater I wanted was a BOXed exclusive and would not be available otherwise. I purchased the box, discarded most of the other pieces to either the trash or goodwill and moved on. A month later her sales people were selling a sweater they stated was the same as the box. When I expressed that this was false advertising and I was immediately terminated from the group and all access blocked. I could not even log into my store account. Since all returns are given in store credit, I am unable to use those or turn in my rewards points. This makes the owner Becka Clark a LIAR a CHEAT and a THIEF. read more

It's too bad I had to leave a star because I don't think there is an aspect of this store that is worthy. Let's start with the set up. The set up of this store could be described as chaos at best. Everything is scattered throughout so if you are looking for a size, you better just ask, because the same shirt can be in 4 different spots. Which leads me to customer service. The customer service is lacking! You won't get a "hello" or "welcome" if you don't approach the staff first and forget trying to get them to help if they are on the phone with a personal call. Now let's talk quality of the merchandise. It's been awhile since I had a teenager, but when I did we occasionally would shop Forever 21. Let's put it this way, Forever 21 justifies their less than quality materials with the price but KLR jacks their prices up so high (as if they could be in a "boutique" category) and doesn't have an article of clothing in that store that can be worn more than once (if that) and then the fabric either comes unhemmed or worse. If you are curious and end up buying, don't say I didn't warn you. On my last visit, I went in to show the owner a damaged item and her not so friendly salesperson said the owner was out but would contact me tomorrow. She refused to take my name & number, stating she had it in the computer, so I gave her the blouse & left. Well, weeks later, according to my calendar, I guess "tomorrow" doesn't exist. This is my first ever yelp review but I felt like it had to be done. I've shopped for several years with the online boutique. The owner is very active on social media and the insiders fb page, which is really helpful in a lot of instances. But I started to notice she kept complaining and being extremely rude if someone even asked a legit question. Like for instance, she told everyone that once the insiders page reached 40,000 members she would have a sale where "everything was 40% off. Everything" so when the page reached the 40,000 members lots of customers were sad to find out that that wasn't the case. They pulled lots of items from the website so they weren't included in the sale. Some poor girl literally asked "were some items pulled from the site before the sale?" And people, including Becka the owner, jumped all over this girl. Then once someone posted a screenshot of the post from last month clearly stating that everything would be included, the post was deleted. I really like the clothes and have lots of items from there but after I saw the owners true colors I just can't support a business run like that. So if you have no problem with business owners talking down to the customers that spend their hard earned money, then by all means shop here. But if you're like me and can't support an establishment run like this, it's better to shop elsewhere. read more
