My son, his cat, my two dogs, and I moved into this park at the end of September 2024. We love it here! Sometimes the water issue can be frustrating, but it's being fixed. The park was built in the 80's with only one shutoff valve, which means when there is an issue, the whole park gets shut off. The maintenance team is working on installing more in the park as time allows. We have had some nasty storms that have required some cleanup. We usually keep about two gallons of water on hand for watering the furbabies, drinking, flushing, and washing hands. (My old park would have water shutoffs all the time, with no concrete plans to update the 1950's infrastructure.) The things we love the most about being here are how quiet it is, especially since we're at the end of our road, the trails that my dogs love, and the critters we come across on walks such as tree squirrels, black butterflies that are everywhere right now, birds, sometimes I even hear a Great Horned Owl in the trees overhead in the wee hours of the morning. (In perimenopause, awake when I don't want to be is a thing that happens due to that lol.) We have even gotten courtesy texts about bringing in awnings when the wind is about to pick up. The full bathrooms are a lifesaver when there are camper plumbing issues, the pool is an even bigger lifesaver in the hot months, and the full kitchen in the clubhouse has allowed me to bake a turkey two Thanksgivings in a row now. 99% of the people who live here are very friendly and happy to be here. Of course there's always at least one or two people who will complain about everything. The PG&E rates for full-timers can be hard, as they are for everyone on PG&E, but corporate is great about reviewing and approving requests for shades and things that can be installed to help mitigate the power usage in hot months. I just ordered one two days ago that I will have installed on my roof, that my old park rejected. Ruthie, the property manager, is very knowledgeable and helpful when I have questions. Campers beware!!! There is a mill across the water and it operates 24/7. There is a high pitch metal sound that goes all night long. Your trailer will not block the sound. It's too bad, because the park wasn't 1/2 bad. read more

This place looks nice on the outside but the lady at the desk is super rude. They turn off the water all the time so keeps some jugs of water on hand. And they do not return your deposit. Also the office is closed during open hours a lot just because the lady wants to go. So if you have your mail sent there, you have to keep checking if she is even there. One time she was there and I went in and she started yelling at me to get out! it wasn't a good time. Because she was yelling at one of the guys who worked there. Super rude. She also said because we didn't give a 30 day notice that she had to ban us from the rv park for life... it was a 29 day notice we gave bc like I said it's nearly impossible to catch here in the office bc it's always closed. Also the electric bill was ranging $250 to $400 a month and I lived with my lights off all day... . But all that aside, they have a nice pool, and play area for your kids. read more

Our scout troop had a great recent night of stay here at the Sacramento River RV Park as part of our 50-miler kayaking trip. The park manager Ruthie and her staff were wonderful and went out of their way to provide us with just what we needed. We were able to enjoy clean hot showers and a nice pool. The lawn area was just perfect for us to rest and get ready for the next day of kayaking. This is a very nice RV Park for anyone looking for one! read more

Wow!! Talk about a bait & switch!! We booked river front spot for one night. Arrived to be given a spot as far as possible from the water. I was told "well, we would have given you a river front spot if we had one". I'm working on getting a refund for the extra $ I paid. This place is 70% residents, it is a local neighborhood. NOT A CAMPING LOCATION. It's very hard to get to the river and do any kind of fishing or anything. The campground is NOT CLOSE TO THE WATER. Be warned if you are stopping through on a camping trip this is NOT the place for you. If I had booked more than a one night stop over I would have had to find something else & moved to a different RV park. read more

You have to pay for wifi. Really garbage customer service. Spot 55 is the most difficult spot to park in here. Especially at night. Trees in the way, crowded layout, made it nearly impossible to park our trailer -- especially at night. We got in after office hours, told them we were coming late but they did not confirm with us that we would not be in a pull through spot. Imagine: 2am after driving across states, shining my tall truck's lights into the windows of sleeping neighbors, calling back and forth as my partner helps direct me into the spot without knocking either of the trees, the many cars parked around us, or the electrical boxes. If I could give a zero rating I would. Was looking forward to a lovely overnight stay with pool and cable. Paid $100 for "riverview" site. The river is there and if the permanent residents didn't have outbuildings and property blocking the view I could see it. Cable hook up is there but the park doesn't have cable. They are offering WiFi that you have to pay for. They put me in the narrowest site possible for my 34 foot rig with two slides and tow vehicle. Bathroom accessible to my site has doors nailed close. Another sign of a horrible RV park. To top it off the park is at the end of a road far removed from any access to the freeway, however the freeway is about 20 feet from the pool so you get the noise. I don't recommend this RV park to anyone!!! What a rip off. read more

Nice pool, CLEAN and nice bathrooms (even my daughter who we have to drag to camp approved) We did after hours check in to an available space and it was easy, nice to have a resting spot for the night with no hassles. Because we did late check in and early leaving we didn't meet office staff. Everyone we encountered was really kind and friendly. We broke down on a Saturday afternoon on the 5 freeway just outside of Redding and had to be towed into an RV park while our truck was fixed. I am so happy that I called and Ruthie answered. She got us all set up to be towed in and even helped me find a mechanic. We ended up staying until Monday because of the parts we needed. It was HOT in Redding and we were able to run all 3 ACs no problem. The site was level and clean. The park was quiet and well kept. Employees were friendly and very helpful. We cooled down in the pool and it was great. So glad we stumbled upon Sacramento River RV park. We will definitely stop here when we make it back to Redding. read more

I paid for a months rent and did let the front office know I could be layed off(for work) at any moment and they were nice to assure me if I let them know by the 14th I could be prorated and receive something back from my $600 rent. I walked in this morning (the 14th) just for the office lady to tell me I was supposed to have checked out on the 13th. NEVER ONCE did she mention anything about checking out the day before. I do not recommend this RV park to anyone unless it is your last option, they are also one of the most expensive RV parks around. read more

California law requires 90 days' notice to tenants by a Mobile Home or RV Park on any rent increase, therefore, if APPROVED by your tenants, said rent increase could not take effect until March 8, 2019. Since it falls after the 1st of the month, you cannot increase rent until the next rent cycle which will be April 1, 2019. Furthermore, Tenants have 30 days from date of letter to accept or reject your proposed increases. We understand that when you hire and fire management every few months, it is hard to make sure everyone is properly trained. The current managers have little knowledge regarding management, do not have any understanding of the Landlord Tenant laws and fail in their duties to keep our park safe and tenants informed. PROPER TRAINING IS CRITICAL to your success and our safety and comfort. We understand as costs and expenses raise, rents must also. However, the work you have done in the last year and a half are normal upkeep and maintenance that has been neglected for years, are long overdue and not nearly completed. Of six bathrooms, you have remodeled two and they took 6 months to complete. The third bathroom has been closed for two months with nothing being done. The remaining ones have broken fixtures, black mold, heaters and fans that do not work, soap dispensers broken and never replaced. Heck, there was a broken window in a bathroom that took numerous complaints and two months to get replaced. Flood damages to the sprinkler systems two years ago have yet to be repaired. The general stuff like mowing of lawns, watering lawns, picking up leaves, removing hazards like dead trees and branches, keeping garbage area clean, and bathrooms clean are a rarity. Stayed at the resort for a reunion with friends from grade school. Requested sites next to one another but was told they were sold out. Upon arrival we inquired to see if there were any cancelations and was told again that they were full & they would not inquire with arriving guest to see if they would be willing to switch with us. We request to be notified if anyone no-showed or canceled which they agreed to do. I was sent to the far left side of the park while my friends were sent to the far right side of the park. Through out our entire 4 night stay 2 spaces next to me remained open and 2 spaces next to my friends also remained and yet no one ever notified us of any changes. While my friends side was nice, our side was awful! Lots of people living in the park, very noisy since it's backed up to I-5, and the facilities were very dirty (spider webs full of spider in the showers, hair and debri in showers, dead bugs on the counter tops, run down shower facilities ( had told the water handle when turning on the shower as the entire plumbing pulls out of the wall), and creepy people driving slowly thru the park and scoping out everything. I was going to be working in Red Bluff and needed a place to stay for a few weeks. I called to make a reservation and ended up basically being told not to apply to stay since my service dog is a staffordshire bt. I mentioned the service dog in an attempt to be completely transparent since she's a pretty big girl, but I guess that's not something people like. I'm sure the place is okay, but I wish they understood what a service dog does. She's just here to help me out. read more

I lived at the Sacramento River RV park for around four years. The first year was wonderful and has grown not to be with new management. They advertise having a disc golf course that has been removed. When I moved in there were 3 men and women's restrooms each, now there is one women's restroom and two men's. They just closed one down and never finished remodeling the other. The rules only apply to chosen few. The water gets shut off all of the time as they are doing construction, have been for along time and this has been a major inconvenience to me living here. So I never know if I could shower or have water consistently. Power surges are a very common thing here as well. I've witnessed multiple RV's whole electric frying and nearly catching the rv on fire that didn't have surge protectors. And yes the power gets cut off very often as well due to all the work they are doing. River access is in two spots only, which you aren't allowed to swim in. It has become more and more unpleasant. It's more of a construction place as to an established park. So I relocated to another park finally. All in all I'd say it used to be a wonderful place to stay. But no longer for me. read more

It was okay..... did one night tent camp. Bathrooms are inconvenient to get to and no privacy for showering. The front desk girl looked confused with simple questions like has it been cold at night and any mosquitos? It was nice to set up the tent on soft grass and view of the river was nice but there is some type of lumber yard across the river that operates all night, very loud. The frisbee golf runs right past the tent area and my new truck was struck and dented by a heavy weighted frisbee while packing up in the morning. Pissed me off! read more

They say to lead with the sugar so, um, the showers are brand new and clean. Now for the salt: it takes forever to get water to come out of the shower heads and even longer for it to be hot. The sound of the Interstate is pervasive, which would be fine if you could ignore it by swimming (but the pool is closed even though it's 95 freaking degrees outside) or if you could go for a walk (but the "walking path" is non-existent) or if you could play tennis (but the tennis courts are a wreck) or if you could play frisbee golf (but seriously do people even play that). This whole place is full of full-timers although I have no idea why. Just keep driving. I guarantee you it is better to pull over and sleep by the side of the road than it is to pay to sleep here. read more

The website gives the impression of a 5 star RV campground. The reality is not so much. Driving over from Reno the mountains were green, pine trees filled the air, Lassen was snowcapped. We continued to drive and the green faded away to brown. The warm mountain breeze turned to overheated humid air. We find our way to the resort and realize it's not quite what the website billed. Here you are sandwiched between a lovely but fast moving and freezing Sacramento River (we were told there was swimming) and the fast moving full size concrete river: the freeway. The discgolf course has clearly not been maintained in ages. The lovely marina for launching kayaks and swimming...hasn't been dredged in years and looks like a leach infested west Nile breeding ground. Add in the fact that the wifi was down...like the system caught fire and burned down which no one mentioned in the numerous calls made leading up to booking. On top of that (and not their fault) but the entire park is an AT&T black hole...I had work to do! I called up to Shasta who had spots available starting that Monday. We bailed on our last 5 nights and booked it up to the lake for the vacation we though we booked here. 2 stars because the front desk folks were pleasant and fair with refunds. read more

I absolutely love this park. The management is crazy amazing we joke and laugh and they are just so welcoming ! Mike the manager is probably the best we have ever encountered and Melissa the office lady is so sweet and very on top of things ! Yes all the reviews say there has been meth heads here but they have been here from before the new management and they are working hard iv noticed to take new measures to make us all feel safer. My husband travels for work so he lives in our trailer as well as what we call our line family they all live in trailers and so we have had our fair share of trailer parks and yes this one may not be brand new or have it's Corks but all around it has been the best one we have stayed at. read more

We stopped here after seeing this place a few times from I-5 and noticed it had the shaded tree's and a pool. I'm glad we chose this place the spaces were decent and they were pull through. The people next to us said they had been there when it was 111 outside and it was pretty nice with the tree's. Yes, the highway is noisy. However, we've been living here a couple weeks now, planning on staying about two months while my husband is working in Redding. The people who run the place(maintenance, office staff, etc) are all very friendly, and seem to love the fact that we are a small family. We have one big dog, one small dog, and two kids. We had to get approval to stay more than at the weekly rate, and it was a very painless process. They asked for proof of ownership of rv, proof of income, and proof that the dogs are up to date on vaccinations. Nothing I wasn't expecting already, really. I noticed other reviews mentioned dog poo? I take my dogs three times to the designated pet area, and I have never seen any leftover piles, so maybe they've gotten better about picking it up? All in all, we're very happy here. Yes, there are some sketchy residents, and definitely some junkies over on the one side. However, they tend to keep to themselves, and I've never noticed any shouting or disruptive activities. The river access is a little sketchy, especially with the Sac River as low as it is right now, but you can walk right down the trails to go check it out. They seem to be very proud of their disc golf course, though I've never seen anyone out there. For what we have here, able to be somewhere safe, and happy for our dogs and kids, the $400 we pay in monthly space rent(which includes sewer, water, etc) is definitely happy for our situation. read more

My husband and I arrived in 2/11 and planned to stay until the summer then look for a house. Well it's over three years later and we're still here. There just isn't a good reason not to live here - especially if you want to save some real money for retirement- the rent and utilities are reasonable. The staff are great - pleasant and profressional. The grounds, restrooms, and pool are well kept and the views are beautiful - my husband loves the disc golf course. This is a safe place - I feel comfortable going to the vending machines at 11 o'clock at night. read more

Nice park for travelling down Highway 5. Full timers who looked like they were straight out of the 60's but plite and nice. The pool was the hit in 103 degree temps. Lots and lots of shade. Pull through sites. Seems like all the sites along the river were booked up with full timers. Not good. read more

Stayed overnight here breaking up a long haul heading north. Despite the fact that we arrived after dark and departed just after sunrise, I did get a chance to take in the surroundings and offer a few considerations for those who decide to camp (pitch a tent, rather) here. The bathrooms are simple, but there is a curtain shower that blasts steaming hot water for a refreshing early morning clean up. The tent-only zone is located along the Sacramento River, but there's considerable brush and mud between the grassy knoll you pitch tent and the River - don't expect to walk down in the evening to sit on the bank and skip stones. The noise is tolerable with ear plugs. Across the river there is a huge wood mill that operates at all hours it seems. Every few hours you'll hear a train blasting its horns as it passes by. For the $20-some dollars I saved not buying the next-step lodging (Motel 6, etc), I would have liked for this site to have been a bit more serene and muted. Overall, not bad for the money. read more

Not the best place for tent camping. The Good: the green grass and cleanliness of the few camping spots was commendable. The location, on the river, was also nice. The Bad: lots of I-5 Highway noise to keep you up at night. If you check in after hours there is no way to get the unlock code for the bathroom The ugly: on the other side of the river there appears to be a factory that tests jet engines by running them at full speed and then throwing gravel into them. The good news is you can barely hear the I-5 when they start up at 4am. The bad news is you can't hear anything else but them. Ohh, and they also appear to test drive commercial trucks backwards, for hours, to make sure the warning beeping noise is working properly. If you are looking for a peaceful nights sleep, this is probably not it. If you are on the I-5 and your head keeps hitting the steering wheel because your working on hour 15 of a road trip than you might want to pull in out of necessity. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about the Sacramento River RV Park. Everyone is so nice. To begin with, Jennifer was absolutely welcoming and kind and made us feel as though we would be so welcomed. We were! Once there, Scott F. was not only welcoming, but he was beyond helpful and kind. He knows a lot about the area. He is also a fly fishing instructor and guide and offers an incredible wealth of knowledge for those that would love to have a guide. He was not only willing to share his expertise but he knows an incredible amount about the sport. In addition to that, he was so kind to my Grandchildren. We cannot thank him enough. He takes such pride in this wonderful park. This RV park is beautiful. There is a lot of wide open space, a beautiful meadow, a short walk to the Sac. River, clean facilities, an excellent disc golf course. There were many people there, loving it as much as we did. We had privacy and it was quiet. We never felt crowded. The wifi was excellent. The fall leaves were falling on the ground and it was beautiful. I could see that there were blackberry bushes along the River, so summer will be a great time to be there, too. Honestly, I could go on and on! As we were leaving, My children, and Grandchildren told me that they had an amazing time. I am so happy that we could share this memorable experience with them. This is not a place for everyone, but we enjoy our site. Some of the campers are "well traveled", but we have a beautiful spot right on the river. Pool, showers and laundry are adequate, but its the site location that makes it for us. Great front desk help and very friendly maintenance group. Frisbee golf on site, and extra cable and WiFi available for an up charge. Very reasonable rates with nice sized sites. read more

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would start out my U.S. travel adventure with my beloved Yorkshire Terrier Duffy and not come home with him. We were staying at the Sacramento River R.V. Park when Duffy became very ill and after taking him to the Vet in Redding, CA it was determined that he must be put down. I'm devastated by this of course. When I returned to the R.V. Park I thought I would go to the office and ask about whether or not they had cable. I thought I would just watch mindless TV for a while and try to keep my mind off Duffy. The counter girl was on the phone with a customer so I sat down and waited for her to finish. Of course I could hear her end of the conversation and she told the person that they did have a place to dump tanks and it was a "pull through spot". Later on that day a very large Bounder Class A Motorhome pulled into the site right next to me and started dumping his black and grey water tanks. The smell was horrible and permeated the entire area. Needless to say it was awful smelling. As the motorhome pulled out of the site and parked near the office I decided to go back to the office to inquire about why they let this man dump his tanks right next to a camping person who has already paid for the site? The girl in the office went ballistic on me. How dare I tell her how to run the Park. I asked her if she charged him to dump. She said "yes" and I asked her if he paid as much as I did for the site. She said "yes again". I told her I didn't believe her. She told me to leave the camp. Well No, I'm not leaving as I'm already paid up, besides I told her I don't drive at night. I will admit that I probably got as rude to her as she was to me. She had no idea I just lost my dog and was already in a fragile state when this all happened. I asked for her name and she told me and offered a business card. I called the cooperate phone on the card, but their offices were already closed. She threatened to call the police on me and I told her to go right ahead. I also told her she should be fired from her job for the way she treats people. She pretended like she was calling the police. This was my last night at this RV camp. I had a chance to talk to other residents at the park and they all smelled the waste smell when the man dumped his tank. I walked over to where he dumped and he didn't even put the cap back on, so it continued to reek. One lady camping near me thought her propane tank was leaking. This particular girl was not professional at all and I told her that Debbie, who checked me in was so much more pleasant. Apparently, the actual dump site which they do have for transient dumpers was out of commission and I think she saw the opportunity to pocket some cash from this man. She should have told the man on the phone that the dump was not operational and he would have to find another place to dump. This employee should be fired as she is a terrible representative for the R. V. Park. read more
