We had not planned to stay at this park as long as we did, but we needed a break and the other rv parks were full. This park was not our first choice. The rv park is neat and we'll kept. The laundry is cheap. The pool was clean. The cable is good. However, be advised of the following: 1. The park has no restrooms or showers. You have to use the one in your rv and that is inconvenient, especially if you are travelling with several people. 2. There are no picnic tables provided at this rv park. Therefore, you have to eat all of your meals in your rv and if you have a grill, you will need a table of your own to put it on. (Who wants to eat inside on a beautiful, summer day?) 3. KEEP OFF THE GRASS. The park has grass and trees and shade. However, you are not allowed to enjoy them. You can't walk on the grass, sit on the grass with a chair or a blanket, you are not permitted to be on the grass at your own site AT ALL! It's very, very strange. You have to stay on your concrete pad at all times when you are outside. If you do sit on the grass, in any way, the park host will ask you to move off of it. It is the strangest thing we have ever encountered at an rv park so far. The grass is only to look at. Very strange. 4. There are no children here. We stayed here 1 month and there are rarely any children here. I'm not sure if they are not welcome, or if they aren't allowed, but you won't see children or young families here. 5. This is a 55 and older rv park. 90% of the park is full of people who live here full time (lifers) and they are senior citizens. Lifers are people who have no intention of travelling ever again. They park their rv and leave them there for years. There is someone who has lived here 17 years! And another one has been here since 2003 and has a chest freezer sitting outside at his site. Everyone here has at least one dog, too. That means dogs are everywhere! The park feels like a mobile home park. There are only 4 empty sites for real, travelling rv'ers. The rest of the sites are for the lifers. The park is operated by an elderly man and the park hosts are also senior citizens. Yuck! 6. The park is located in a bad area of Redding. The neighborhood is not safe after dark. There are 3 low income housing hotels next door and the people who live in them are creepy. There are bag ladies, people in motorized wheelchairs who go up and down the street holding signs begging for money, there are people who walk the sides of the highway out front scavenging for cans and bottles, too. It's disgusting. You cannot ride your bike or walk in the neighborhood after dark. The residential neighborhood behind the park is rough too. 7. if trains bother you, don't stay here. They run all day and all night. 8. You will be bored staying here unless you are a senior citizen or a shut in. This park is not for the active, travelling rv'er or a young family who travels with their children. We will not stay here again.

New park with very big level pads. However the staff is quite rude, seems not a kid friendly RV park, no public restroom available!

Park was clean, it is off the beaten path if you want to get away from the highway. There is a casino close by; gas was 4.19 in the area.

Perfect for kids as stream is wide but very shallow. RV's in outside of circle with a beautiful common grassy area in center. Ideal for groups. Large common eating. Lots of bike riding and perfect for kids. Reasonably priced. Cons: Limited parking and very tight spaces. Charge $2/day for dog. Provide dog poop bags but nowhere to dispose. You'd think there would be some kind of disposal where the bags are but no...There is a sign that says to dispose at trash near laundry room. I walked almost the entire park and couldn't find the laundry room. And not a single trash can!!! They expect their rver's to haul their garbage across the park and then fling in into those huge dumpsters that many of us can't reach or are to old to get the needed height. And it's gross and smelly. Many parks pick up garbage daily or have reasonably sized cans spaced around the park. McCloud is noted for its wandering bears but there has to be a better solution... The next day I set out for the trash by the laundry room. I found the laundry room with a sign "Call this number and the office will text the key code. Someone is borrowing too much toilet paper." Really??? A resort this size can't afford toilet paper so the entire clientele have to suffer this inconvenience??? This wasn't for us. Could hardly get thru with one lane. Our neighbors were way too close. Tables were situated behind the rv as no room beside. Everyone had dogs but no fenced area for off lease. The dog park was a dusty trail along the fence next to the highway. Dogs were aloud on the grassy areas and everyone was good about picking up.

Beautiful space, grouchy raunchy camp hosts/owners…read more When we first pulled in we thought we had found our annual getaway location. We paid for three nights, but fully expected to extend our stay for two or three more. But shortly after we set up Bob the camp host showed up and sort of hijacked us on a tour of the house he's building and the park waterways, the development history, and more. On the surface we thought that was very nice of him, and was very informative. But the reality was that he dragged my wife and I around on a 40-year-old golf cart while he told raunchy jokes about such things as Monica Lewinsky in great detail, shared his opinions on world affairs, bragged about his influence in the McCloud area, and more, all with a spin towards the lewd and raunchy. We tried to accommodate him because he is an elderly fellow and we had never met him, but I have to admit it times it felt like we were in the opening scenes of a trashy slasher movie, and I was looking at every shadow and open doorway for a possible sighting of someone with a hockey mask. We couldn't wait for him to drop us back off at our campsite Also, every park has upsells, which is fine. But this park advertises itself as a fly fishing Ranch but charges $65 per hour for catch and release fishing. There are at least a dozen spots within 5 miles where you can fish for free. The McCloud river is a world-class Blue ribbon trout fishing stream -free fishing with a license, all day every day The 30-amp plug didn't work, we used the 15 amp standby plug during our stay. We have a small Casita which doesn't draw much power, so it was okay. During our visit we watched Bob and his wife Maylon be more than a little overzealous with other guests about camp rules. While we were in the cart with him, he didn't think twice about stopping to chastise to adult campers who were on e-bikes on evidently the wrong trails in the park. His reasoning was that he didn't let kids bike in that area of the park because he was worried one of the children might drive a bike into one of the ponds, so he couldn't let these adults driving very sophisticated two or $3,000 e-bikes bike back there either. It was awkward for us to be in the car with him while he was addressing these other guests. The next day, we got our turn being on the wrong end of Bob and Maylons grouchiness. They pulled into our campsite and abruptly told us we had to turn our music off. We were playing Willie Nelson quite low, but they heard it from the next campsite over. No camper complained. This was at 5:00 p.m. . The park rules site quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. this was on a Monday, after we had listened to loud construction noises from a bathroom remodel two campsites over all day Saturday and Sunday until well after dark, which we did not complain about or even get bothered by until our battery powered speaker was just more than they could stand to listen to. We had conversations with other campers, wonderful folks who we met during our stay, who observed the things things we did and felt the same way. It was a common observation that it was a beautiful spot, but The grouchy and raunchy demeanor of the camp host took a lot of the joy away of the stay. One family with whom we had especially nice conversations, decided to end their trip three days early, after having driven all the way from Las Vegas, some 12-hour drive. As we exited the park I found the owner and told him how unsettling his demeanor had been and try to explain that his method of dealing with errant e-bike riders and our little speaker playing music left a lot to be desired. I told him I was especially upset by the raunchy, graphic, jokes he told in front of my wife, and he denied having told them. I feel sorry for the staff member who happened to be in the office when we were having this conversation, but I told Bob that he was a liar and reminded him we were on the deck of his new house and the exact nature of the joke that he told. He simply spun on his heel and went back into his residence. In short, if you come here expect a beautiful space but some raunchy and grouchy camp hosts/owners. If you talk to Bob, it's probably best to keep your wife and children away, and if you talk to Maylon, don't expect much in the way of smiles or gracious camp host demeanor that you might expect in such a place. To close, Fridays RV resort - been there done that, didn't buy the t-shirt, not going back.

I noticed when paying cash they only gave a generic receipt only with my name no space # and no Park Marina anywhere on it ‍ I immediately called House of Reality and made them aware of this practice because not only do I need to protect my payment but the owner being assured he gets payment on the space. 2nd ... The mangers we're not doing hardly any maintenance on the property many of us tenants that cared about the place took care of our own sites, I watered bought a mower and blower kept things nice and never got a thank you. 3rd ... I recently left the park and relocated to another and our new location called just to verify us Nancy proceeded bad mouth me directly that I did things in the park that I wasn't supposed too! (Like water and mowed my lawn area ‍) then proceeded to tell the new manager that I was late on my rent consistently and also was telling people in the park I was also late on the rent, grant you we were late but always paid and paid the late fee in full! Regardless we cared about the place maintained the best kept spot in the park! Luckily I gave references to many of the tenants in the park that knew me and could verify what type of person I am and how I took care of my area and beyond... I could even continue with many more incidents that have taken place here but enough is enough I will never be back. Hopefully this place will get rid of this management and revert back to the nice gem it was. As you can see we were not bad tenants
