The park itself is very nice with well maintained quality full hookups and backup and pull thru concrete pads. The management here is friendly and straight forward. They calmly work with you. If you have a vehicle you'll be able to travel nearby, however if you walk as we do being outside near this park at dark is unwise. The laundry is very clean and relatively low cost. The park has a covered and uncovered picnic area behind the laundry next to the wading pool. They lack a shower/bathroom house. They have a dog park. You can recycle plastic bottles and cans in the laundry room. read more

I've only been living here for a few weeks, but the experience has been very good. Cheryl and Jane are very nice and the neighbors I've met so far are very friendly and helpful. During the process, Cheryl communicated with me and kept me up to date on my space availability as I was waiting on the official start date for my new job. She told me she was putting me on a cooler side of the park with trees and that would be very helpful when the summer heat starts kicking in. Paul was very patient with this newbie while I was backing my trailer onto the pad. The sites are very clean, and the grounds are well kept. My two dogs love the little dog park, and we feel safe going for walks within the RV park. We were advised by others we spoke to be careful of walking on the road outside the RV park, but so far, I haven't seen anything on the main street that has caused me concern. Security within the park itself is very good. It's not too far from where I work. I do feel a bit guilty that I work on weekends and leave rather early in the morning. Quiet hours are in place at that time, and I try my best to not to disturb anyone, but I know my coming out of the door and starting up the truck makes noise. I highly recommend this park to anyone passing through or staying as a long-term guest. read more

We're do I start, I came to Redding to stay to be close to my grandbabies and found this park out of all of Redding to be the cleanest and safest! I knew I would be up in my bus most of the time alone because my husband had to work at home down south and he wanted me to be safe! this is the safest I have EVER FELT BEING AWAY FROM HIM! I have never been apart from him in our 36 years. They have cameras every and they kept an eye on my property when I left town to go home to my husband. They have potlucks and club gatherings to keep everyone acquaintEd. They really make you feel like family. paying rent was easy and your electric is separate and inexpensive if you are monthly. I will go back after my health issues are taken care of, I really recommend to anyone that is looking for a country setting but still in town to try this place it is wonderful. It's a really clean rv park with a wonderful fenced dog area and great full timers that are very clean and friendly. The manager Cheryl was very helpful in helping us find a good spot with shade for us and our dogs on our return trip to Redding in June. Park was clean, it is off the beaten path if you want to get away from the highway. There is a casino close by; gas was 4.19 in the area.

My wife and I stayed at Green Acres for 2 weeks and found it to be a wonderful RV park. Unlike the vast majority of RV parks, here you park on concrete vs gravel, and roads are paved vs. dirt. Our RV stayed very clean here. Trees are mature and provide plenty of shade, which is important in Redding's heat. Grass is well manicured and amazingly is watered in a way that generally does not spray water on your concrete pad and camping equipment. All pads are level. Unlike virtually all other RV parks, one of the two owners lives there, meaning instant after-hours emergency response if needed, round-the-clock security as needed, and I suppose fast maintenance response, although everything worked flawlessly at our site. Like most other RV parks, there are many full-timers living there, but unlike most other RV parks all rigs are in excellent, like-new condition with sites uncluttered and well cared for, being occupied mostly by retirees. All were respectful and friendly. The park seems to be minutes from everything, including shops, RV supplies, and even beautiful nature areas. A couple of items concerned us initially but turned out to be non-issues. First, Green Acres seems to be an oasis in the middle of a not-so-nice area. We rode our bicycles around the area extensively and experienced zero issues, with zero issues involving theft or any other illegal activity Inside the park. Second, there is an active train line about 1/4 mile from the park that runs day and night. Our air conditioner and RV walls completely masked the train noise. Friends with a Jeep with fabric tent on its roof needed ear plugs to sleep soundly. Green Acres was a real gem. We will definitely return! read more

We had not planned to stay at this park as long as we did, but we needed a break and the other rv parks were full. This park was not our first choice. The rv park is neat and we'll kept. The laundry is cheap. The pool was clean. The cable is good. However, be advised of the following: 1. The park has no restrooms or showers. You have to use the one in your rv and that is inconvenient, especially if you are travelling with several people. 2. There are no picnic tables provided at this rv park. Therefore, you have to eat all of your meals in your rv and if you have a grill, you will need a table of your own to put it on. (Who wants to eat inside on a beautiful, summer day?) 3. KEEP OFF THE GRASS. The park has grass and trees and shade. However, you are not allowed to enjoy them. You can't walk on the grass, sit on the grass with a chair or a blanket, you are not permitted to be on the grass at your own site AT ALL! It's very, very strange. You have to stay on your concrete pad at all times when you are outside. If you do sit on the grass, in any way, the park host will ask you to move off of it. It is the strangest thing we have ever encountered at an rv park so far. The grass is only to look at. Very strange. 4. There are no children here. We stayed here 1 month and there are rarely any children here. I'm not sure if they are not welcome, or if they aren't allowed, but you won't see children or young families here. 5. This is a 55 and older rv park. 90% of the park is full of people who live here full time (lifers) and they are senior citizens. Lifers are people who have no intention of travelling ever again. They park their rv and leave them there for years. There is someone who has lived here 17 years! And another one has been here since 2003 and has a chest freezer sitting outside at his site. Everyone here has at least one dog, too. That means dogs are everywhere! The park feels like a mobile home park. There are only 4 empty sites for real, travelling rv'ers. The rest of the sites are for the lifers. The park is operated by an elderly man and the park hosts are also senior citizens. Yuck! 6. The park is located in a bad area of Redding. The neighborhood is not safe after dark. There are 3 low income housing hotels next door and the people who live in them are creepy. There are bag ladies, people in motorized wheelchairs who go up and down the street holding signs begging for money, there are people who walk the sides of the highway out front scavenging for cans and bottles, too. It's disgusting. You cannot ride your bike or walk in the neighborhood after dark. The residential neighborhood behind the park is rough too. 7. if trains bother you, don't stay here. They run all day and all night. 8. You will be bored staying here unless you are a senior citizen or a shut in. This park is not for the active, travelling rv'er or a young family who travels with their children. We will not stay here again. read more

This is is one of the nicest RV parks we've stayed at. We'll definitely come back the next time we're in the area. It's a very small but extremely well-maintained facility. There is plenty of space between each site. The full hookups are perfectly located. The sites are each on a level slab. The best feature of this park is Ron the Owner/Manager. Beautiful and quiet little rv park, everyone was friendly. The roads are paved with plenty of space for the kids to run and ride their bikes or scooters. This place is about 40 minutes away from Lassen Volcanic National Park, and extremely accommodating if you're running late. Had a 10hr drive from LA up to Redding area, and pulled in around midnight, the park host let us know what site we were on and the easiest way to get to it so we're not driving around trying to find it in the blind. I enjoyed my stay here. Working as a night shift traveling nurse it was important for me to find a place that was nice and quiet during the day. Yes there are many retirees and not many children here buy that was exactly what I was looking for! Nice and quiet during the day for me to sleep, no music, kids, or picnics to keep me awake. I just wish they had showers, or a year around pool/hot tub. This was also one of the cheapest rv parks here just Redding a d found it very comfortable. We first pulled up and I thought what have we gotten into then you go up the driveway a there's the leaned RV Park I ever seen. The full time people have rules they have to stick to . The whole park has rules you need to stick to so it makes it nice . Everyone was nice and friendly and willing to help. The price is not bad $30.00 a day and of corse tax.. The laundry was a dollar to wash and a dollar to dry. I know next time I an in Redding I will stay here again. read more
