We needed some low hanging branches removed and, Nick was there in minutes with a pruning saw. He helped me back-in and get positioned so I could get my slides out without a problem. It snowed the night we were there. The next morning, the snow had turned to ice. My slides were frozen in place. I was stuck. I went up to my roof to survey the situation. Thick ice, was jamming my slides in place. I spent the next hour or so doing everything I could to clear the ice away. After working with every tool and idea I had and countless trips up and down the ladder to see if the slides would operate I was nearly exhausted and I had gotten nowhere. I called, Nick and asked for his help. He was there in minutes with good ideas and the tools to implement them. A couple of hours later, my slides clear of the ice. Nick and I said our goodbyes. Lucy the wonder dog and I were on our way. I might still be there if it wasn't for, Nick. As to the trains, I heard them but they weren't so loud that they disturbed my sleep. Maybe I'm just accustomed to their sound now. That said, I've stayed at dozens of campgrounds, RV Resorts, and RV Parks over the past 5 years. The majority of them were as close or closer to RR tracks as, Cedar Pines is. Dunsmuir is a hidden gem. I met a few of the locals. They went out of their way to be kind and helpful. Cedar Pines is a beautiful spot to camp. I'll stay there again when I pass through that part of the country.

Be prepared to walk through thorny berry bushes. The water pressure is very low, the Wi Fi is non existent (the owner will tell you different). Trash is over flowing and smells and RV SPOTS are not maintained. I agree with another reviewer "SLUM LORD" she just wants her rent.

Booked a pull through, full hookup spot last March. As others have said, the road along the final mile is rough & some traffic noise can be heard throughout the night from I-5 above. No biggie. We had a few issues though. We were unable to drive into our campsite due to trees. We have a 30' trailer pulled by a Ford F-250. Pulling in we almost got stuck. We had to back out to drive the wrong way up a one way lane then back into our space. The spaces are small and parked vehicles added to the navigation challenges. Ultimately we made it in and set up camp for the night. Also our wi-fi password didn't work and there was a billing issue. Our Elks Lodge discount price wasn't applied. We weren't able to purchase any of their farm fresh eggs because we couldn't connect with Karen & Jay. Tried contacting them by text, phone and email on our day of arrival and again the next day. Needed to cancel our July 6th reservation we booked for our return. Finally received an email on July 5th acknowledging our cancellation but there was no mention of correcting the billing issue. So we still need to pursue that. We don't want to disparage a family business. Karen & Jay obviously take pride in their campground. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by the upcoming Holiday or perhaps something came up. We wish them well.

If you're looking for haunted house vibes with false charm, this property management company…read moredelivers. We rented a home they manage in Shasta, and it felt like the start of a horror movie. Only one bathroom could be used at a time due to weak water pressure and barely any hot water. The host's solution? "Just stagger your showers by 30 minutes." Because obviously, what every vacation needs is a bathroom rotation spreadsheet. We were joined by a dead cockroach in the closet. A true roommate. He paid no rent and still got more consistency than we did. Two bedrooms were in a damp basement with strong "unsolved case" energy. Lights didn't work in multiple rooms. Water dispensers? Empty. For a property with a $500 deposit and a push to buy trip insurance, we expected basic functionality. Instead, we got a scavenger hunt for working utilities. We contacted them during the stay and escalated to Airbnb when nothing improved. The responses were mostly gaslighting and excuses. Airbnb, not the property managers, offered a $200 coupon, which we declined. That wasn't a resolution. It was hush money. Later, we noticed the listing had been quietly edited, changing the details that had misled us. No accountability, no explanation. Just a sweep under the rug once the damage was done. If they rebranded this as a haunted escape room with shower rationing and an emotional support cockroach, maybe it would work. But as a vacation rental? Absolutely not. My credit card ruled in favor of my dispute and I got our full refund. If you think this review is bad, wait until you see the TikTok series.

The room was spotless, and the air conditioning worked great, which made for a comfortable night's sleep. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the manager went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Excellent customer service like that makes a lasting impression. The only downside was that a guest in the room next to us woke us from a sound sleep around 1:00 a.m. and was quite noisy for a while. We don't hold the motel responsible for that, especially since we never called the front desk to let them know there was a problem.
