We don't usually choose rv parks to camp in but needed a stop on our way back home from a trip to Washington. This place is so amazing! It's beautiful, in the trees, to start with. A magnificent view of snow covered Mt Shasta. It has hookups at a great price and a really cute store. The owners turned vintage trailers into chicken coops and they have goats, a gorgeous turkey and chickens. All clean and well cared for. Just can't say enough! We walked around the property on a trail that led to a tent camping area with Adirondack chairs, fire pit and a great breeze to sit and enjoy the view of Mt Shasta. There is so much more. Just really enjoyed it! read more

I would not say quaint. But quite simple like a parking lot. A turkey adorn the lot but never saw it but once. Your views are not anything either. I looked around for views showed but didn't see that. They piled up pine needles in my drive way so I jumped out of my drive thru upon them. Jay or Judy was not home around 10:45 Sunday, nor did they answer the phone or call back but 30 mins later. I found the sewer would not take all my black water. The neighbor suggested a container might be found in shed since I had to do something. I found another neighbor to be a good hand when putting the hose into the container so there was hardly any spillage, except at septic receiver which had a few squints. Not being very professional at this I got the hose emptied into container. Cleaned as much as I was was able to. And hopped over the pine needles into our truck and once again that was a ordeal. Finally 30 mins later Jay calls screaming at me for creating a biohazard and was going to send the police to arrest me. What a nice guy. Then he presents me with a 500 dollar bill for using a bird storage bucket to put it in. I think he said I wasn't authorized to use it and now he has to buy another. He said he has policies I should have read. 500 was taken from my card without ailuthorization. The gall. I'd find anyone but this place to stay at. A bathroom light glaring might be real cool part to the whole place. Rudeness and chauvinist personality when someone does you a favor. read more

This RV park is too small. The sites are crammed in next to each other. We have a 5th wheel. After we disconnected from it there was hardly enough room to park our truck. We saw a few people struggling for 45 mins to get their RV in their site. Too many trees and too close together. The guy at the office was very nice. read more

horrible site was not like picture bush's were not trimmed and cleaned up around are no fire pit for heat food or safety you had to walked up and down a rocky steep road to get to areas in dark there is no lighting. This place reminds me of a good, old fashion campground that I used to go camping at when I was a kid. We didn't have our RV. We rented the Denali trailer and it was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely stop here for a stay with our 5th wheel if/when we pass through. The lots look very level so it would be easy to pull right in and hook up. We did our laundry there and it was very clean and easy to use. Didn't look/need the public bathroom/shower. read more

What a beautiful spot here. The Campground is well groomed and maintained. Super clean and our hosts were fantastic. Jay and Karen are very friendly and helpful. The vibe is "cozy" and tucked away in the forest. With a golf course down the street and amazing views of Mt Shasta, Weed is a hidden gem. Rates were super competitive. We travel up and down highway 5 many times over the years and have never stopped in Weed nor Mt Shasta. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately we broke down and desperately required an indefinite stay with our 5th wheel while the truck was being repaired. Karen and Jay went out of their way to accommodate us by moving other reservations so we could be towed in. The weather was great the people were great all in all a wonderful stay. read more

Karen and Jay have a delightful campground in the shadow of Shasta Mountain. The camp sites are nicely groomed, flat and have full hookups. If you don't have an RV you can stay in one of the trailers they have on site. Or if you prefer to tent camp, they have nice sites for that as well. Nice showers and bathroom facilities. Clean and well stocked. The fun part is the critters they have on site - chickens, turkeys, goats and quail. There is a fun little kid zone with several activities appropriate for the whole family. And if you are craving a campfire, they have a nice pit in this kid area where you can safely enjoy the coals. This is situated near many great hiking and fishing sites so you will not be bored. There are some beautiful waterfalls, lakes and rivers to have you enjoy on your travels. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is the road noise from the freeway nearby. But definitely worth staying and relaxing! read more

Loud, light pollution while sleeping, slow responses from hosts. Pictures don't reflect actual views from property. Hosts are rude and falsely accused us of breaking their microwave. I asked if water was drinkable, as it's a campground and I wasn't familiar with the area. I really enjoyed it. The goats, chickens, and wild turkey pet, Syd augment the experience. If you walk up the gravel road to the top where most tent camping is, you have an amazing view of Mt. Shasta and other mtns. It is very close to Highway 5, but not terribly noticeable. The road to get there is rough, but I feel worth it. Nice dog run area so you can play fetch with your dog. Owner is friendly and very nice. You feel like you're camping in a forest. Facilities are clean and updated. read more

We were only here a couple hours. When we came in the office was locked, but we had a packet waiting for us with our site number etc. Nothing fancy, but that's fine with us for our needs for a night. The Wi-Fi was good and really that's all I can comment on. We were here for maybe 2 hours and it started to snow. We were not prepared for snow, no chains etc. And with our 40 ft coach and tow it could prove a bit difficult. So we unhooked and got on down the road. Ended up double paying for the night but that was no fault of Trailer Lane. read more

This campground is SO underrated. I stayed with my friends this past weekend, it was a last minute stop because we were so exhausted driving from Oregon to SoCal , people were very friendly. The space was clean and roomy, area not too cold or too hot, there's also farm animals you can see, a gated area for your dog to play, laundry room and the best part of it all? The bathrooms are clean! there's outlets to charge stuff, and there is a heater in the bathroom!!! + running warm water. Would definitely stay again! PS: After reading other reviews, be aware everyone's experience is different and the bad reviews I read after my experience just seem like entitled Karen's who don't care about others. Cute park, well kept. The sites are cinders but relatively level. The only reason I didn't give 4 or 5 stars is I was a bit irritated by the owner. My wife and I are smokers and on day two the owner approached us and told us this was a non smoking park. While I respect their rite to set the rules I was a bit irritated. There is nothing stating this was a smoke free park on Good Sam, the park website, in the literature given at check-in nor is it posted anywhere on the property. If you're going to have a restrictive policy that affects guests it should be disclosed prior to check in. I even did my reservation over the phone and still wasn't informed. That's like checking in and being told you can't have a cold beer after a long day on the road. Needless to say we won't be back. read more

Wonderful place to stay! Very nice little campground in Weed, CA. We originally were just stopping for the night so I had reserved a 50 amp pull thru, but we had some problems with our fifth wheel and my husband wanted some shade to work on it. Karen was nice enough to juggle reservations and get us in a 30 amp back in that had shade. Plus, we ended up staying for two nights. Karen was very accommodating and helpful and we really appreciated it! The campground is fun, has some outdoor games, a small dog park, and a community fire pit. And visiting the goats and chickens was definitely a bonus! I highly recommend Trailer Lane Campground and would definitely stay there again! read more

Nice small RV park, all on grass so dirt is not a problem. Very quiet except for some freeway sounds but once inside the trailer I didnt hear it anymore. Super helpful staff. I loved the big redwoods all around us. I heard there was a great trail to see the mountain but it was a bit steep for me. I would definatley visit again. read more

I can't say enough good things about Trailer Lane RV Park and the owners/hosts, Karen and Jay. First of all, a quaint little park tucked into a wooded valley in Weed, CA. (just north of Mt. Shasta). Special kudos to Jay who, after some unforeseen circumstances, had to shuffle some of the site reservations. We weren't pleased with where we landed and when I voiced my displeasure to Jay he immediately fixed the situation. He picked me up in his cart and showed me every possible site until I found one I liked. It ended up being right next to our initial reservation. The point is, Karen and Jay go above and beyond to make their customers happy! read more

We stayed here on two separate occasions while RV-camping up and down the PNW coast this summer. The campgrounds were very nice, in a beautiful location, and well-maintained. The owners live on-site and you can tell they really care about the place. They are welcoming and sweet and when we happened to stroll by on an evening walk, they offered and let our kids help feed their cute goats! We felt very safe here and we are definitely bookmarking it for future stays! Highly recommended! read more
