Really enjoyed my stay at Trailer Lane. Nothing fancy but very convenient location right off I-5. Internet is super fast! The camp hosts were super friendly and kind. Will stay there again! read more

Trailer Lane is a small, cute, well cared for campground. We needed a place to stay the night of July 1st 2026 - along our way to the Oregon coast for the Holiday. Booked a pull through, full hookup spot last March. As others have said, the road along the final mile is rough & some traffic noise can be heard throughout the night from I-5 above. No biggie. We had a few issues though. We were unable to drive into our campsite due to trees. We have a 30' trailer pulled by a Ford F-250. Pulling in we almost got stuck. We had to back out to drive the wrong way up a one way lane then back into our space. The spaces are small and parked vehicles added to the navigation challenges. Ultimately we made it in and set up camp for the night. Also our wi-fi password didn't work and there was a billing issue. Our Elks Lodge discount price wasn't applied. We weren't able to purchase any of their farm fresh eggs because we couldn't connect with Karen & Jay. Tried contacting them by text, phone and email on our day of arrival and again the next day. Needed to cancel our July 6th reservation we booked for our return. Finally received an email on July 5th acknowledging our cancellation but there was no mention of correcting the billing issue. So we still need to pursue that. We don't want to disparage a family business. Karen & Jay obviously take pride in their campground. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by the upcoming Holiday or perhaps something came up. We wish them well. read more

Me and my boyfriend visited Shasta for the first time, and we stayed 3 nights at Shasta Sugar Vintage Trailer. Unfortunately, our 3 days started with rain, so we couldn't explore nature and have as much adventure as we wanted. Heavy rain, muddy roads, and driving in the fog changed our trip plans. But when our plans changed, we had to stay in the trailer more--and we actually enjoyed it even much more! I was so glad to find this vintage cutie. When I booked it, I knew the interior was vintage, but I didn't realize how special it would feel. Shasta Sugar is from 1961, so you really have to appreciate the vintage charm of it. We never had any issues and didn't smell any gas or gas licking. It was pretty warm inside with the heater. I don't know about summer without AC, but it might be enough with the fans. The profile does say there is no AC. We cooked breakfast and dinner and really enjoyed using the kitchen. We slept well, and I really appreciated the taste of the interior design. I loved all the colors, even the dishes they chose. The vintage blue and red make the place even more special if you have an artsy taste. Surprisingly, the couch that turns into a bed was so comfy to sleep on! Just keep in mind, if your boyfriend is tall and has big shoulders, it might feel a little tight. If you like this trailer, date a shorter man. Everything was so clean and cute. Sitting outside by the apple tree, we never heard the noise from the highway. We enjoyed all the chicken and rooster sounds, especially in the morning--they were adorable! Honestly, hearing the rooster sound is the best first thing when you wake up. The bathroom was clean and warm, with really hot water in the shower. So convenient! Karen was the best host. She cared about our privacy, was really helpful, and always responded quickly. We really appreciated her. I also really recommend the campground if you want to experience the RV lifestyle. Overall, I really recommend this place. You'll have such a unique experience staying in the cutest vintage trailer ever, especially if you have an artsy taste! Thank you Host. lucky to find her. read more

Easy communication, fun location and unique property. This ended up being our favorite camp during our roadtrip. The view of Shasta was incredible, we loved seeing all the farm animals and were very grateful for the (very affordable) laundry facilities. The last stretch of road is rough as they warned, but we did it without a 4WD vehicle and even saw a sedan make it up. We would definitely stay again next time we're in the area. Thank you! read more

Super cute location off the beaten path. Found it on the fly on our way to Oregon. It's small, but the spots are spacious and the facilities are clean. The road to get there is a little rough, but that's not on them. The trailer chicken coops were adorable!! read more

We don't usually choose rv parks to camp in but needed a stop on our way back home from a trip to Washington. This place is so amazing! It's beautiful, in the trees, to start with. A magnificent view of snow covered Mt Shasta. It has hookups at a great price and a really cute store. The owners turned vintage trailers into chicken coops and they have goats, a gorgeous turkey and chickens. All clean and well cared for. Just can't say enough! We walked around the property on a trail that led to a tent camping area with Adirondack chairs, fire pit and a great breeze to sit and enjoy the view of Mt Shasta. There is so much more. Just really enjoyed it! read more

Nice and convenient overnight location along I-5. Park is surrounded by nature and a nicely kept pen with chickens, turkeys, pheasants, and goats. From the upper campground you get a wonderful view of Mt Shasta. read more

This is a really cute little park. Of the highway enough to be quiet. Well kept and the chickens are cool.

Super clean and beautiful campground! The owners are amazing and so friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay if just need a rest from driving, or a longer stay with so much to do nearby. Loved our stay at Trailer Lane! read more

Trailer Lane Campground - View of Mt. Shasta from the "glamp site" - RV Parks Near Me - Weed, California

This RV park is too small. The sites are crammed in next to each other. We have a 5th wheel. After we disconnected from it there was hardly enough room to park our truck. We saw a few people struggling for 45 mins to get their RV in their site. Too many trees and too close together. The guy at the office was very nice. read more

Charming park and owners are super nice. We are definitely recommending to friends. Love the chicken coops. Be sure to buy some eggs. They're fabulous read more

I would not say quaint. But quite simple like a parking lot. A turkey adorn the lot but never saw it but once. Your views are not anything either. I looked around for views showed but didn't see that. They piled up pine needles in my drive way so I jumped out of my drive thru upon them. Jay or Judy was not home around 10:45 Sunday, nor did they answer the phone or call back but 30 mins later. I found the sewer would not take all my black water. The neighbor suggested a container might be found in shed since I had to do something. I found another neighbor to be a good hand when putting the hose into the container so there was hardly any spillage, except at septic receiver which had a few squints. Not being very professional at this I got the hose emptied into container. Cleaned as much as I was was able to. And hopped over the pine needles into our truck and once again that was a ordeal. Finally 30 mins later Jay calls screaming at me for creating a biohazard and was going to send the police to arrest me. What a nice guy. Then he presents me with a 500 dollar bill for using a bird storage bucket to put it in. I think he said I wasn't authorized to use it and now he has to buy another. He said he has policies I should have read. 500 was taken from my card without ailuthorization. The gall. I'd find anyone but this place to stay at. A bathroom light glaring might be real cool part to the whole place. Rudeness and chauvinist personality when someone does you a favor. read more

horrible site was not like picture bush's were not trimmed and cleaned up around are no fire pit for heat food or safety you had to walked up and down a rocky steep road to get to areas in dark there is no lighting. I had lil kids and lil dog and no way I felt safe in the area when I asked for a partial refund for not staying I was talked over argued at me to point I just got in car with family and left. very unprofessional reaction to a reasonable request read more

This place reminds me of a good, old fashion campground that I used to go camping at when I was a kid. We didn't have our RV. We rented the Denali trailer and it was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely stop here for a stay with our 5th wheel if/when we pass through. The lots look very level so it would be easy to pull right in and hook up. We did our laundry there and it was very clean and easy to use. Didn't look/need the public bathroom/shower. read more

Great little campground in Weed, CA. It is next to the freeway on the back side but sleeping is not interrupted. Love the fenced dog area, but wish weeds around it were mowed. Nice laundry. Great owners. Good for overnight stay. read more

What a beautiful spot here. The Campground is well groomed and maintained. Super clean and our hosts were fantastic. Jay and Karen are very friendly and helpful. The vibe is "cozy" and tucked away in the forest. With a golf course down the street and amazing views of Mt Shasta, Weed is a hidden gem. Rates were super competitive. Their store offers things you need and some special, fun things you may not. Highly recommend. We will be back. read more

We travel up and down highway 5 many times over the years and have never stopped in Weed nor Mt Shasta. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately we broke down and desperately required an indefinite stay with our 5th wheel while the truck was being repaired. Karen and Jay went out of their way to accommodate us by moving other reservations so we could be towed in. The weather was great the people were great all in all a wonderful stay. read more

Another great stay! September 19-22, 2024. We love this place! This time around we enjoyed 9 holes of golf at the Weed Golf Club!

Karen and Jay have a delightful campground in the shadow of Shasta Mountain. The camp sites are nicely groomed, flat and have full hookups. If you don't have an RV you can stay in one of the trailers they have on site. Or if you prefer to tent camp, they have nice sites for that as well. Nice showers and bathroom facilities. Clean and well stocked. The fun part is the critters they have on site - chickens, turkeys, goats and quail. There is a fun little kid zone with several activities appropriate for the whole family. And if you are craving a campfire, they have a nice pit in this kid area where you can safely enjoy the coals. This is situated near many great hiking and fishing sites so you will not be bored. There are some beautiful waterfalls, lakes and rivers to have you enjoy on your travels. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is the road noise from the freeway nearby. But definitely worth staying and relaxing! read more

Loud, light pollution while sleeping, slow responses from hosts. Pictures don't reflect actual views from property. Hosts are rude and falsely accused us of breaking their microwave. I asked if water was drinkable, as it's a campground and I wasn't familiar with the area. They get annoyed with you ask questions, to understand things that haven't been clearly communicated. read more

I really enjoyed it. The goats, chickens, and wild turkey pet, Syd augment the experience. If you walk up the gravel road to the top where most tent camping is, you have an amazing view of Mt. Shasta and other mtns. It is very close to Highway 5, but not terribly noticeable. The road to get there is rough, but I feel worth it. Nice dog run area so you can play fetch with your dog. Owner is friendly and very nice. You feel like you're camping in a forest. Facilities are clean and updated. read more

We were only here a couple hours. When we came in the office was locked, but we had a packet waiting for us with our site number etc. Nothing fancy, but that's fine with us for our needs for a night. The Wi-Fi was good and really that's all I can comment on. We were here for maybe 2 hours and it started to snow. We were not prepared for snow, no chains etc. And with our 40 ft coach and tow it could prove a bit difficult. So we unhooked and got on down the road. Ended up double paying for the night but that was no fault of Trailer Lane. read more

This campground is SO underrated. I stayed with my friends this past weekend, it was a last minute stop because we were so exhausted driving from Oregon to SoCal , people were very friendly. The space was clean and roomy, area not too cold or too hot, there's also farm animals you can see, a gated area for your dog to play, laundry room and the best part of it all? The bathrooms are clean! there's outlets to charge stuff, and there is a heater in the bathroom!!! + running warm water. Would definitely stay again! PS: After reading other reviews, be aware everyone's experience is different and the bad reviews I read after my experience just seem like entitled Karen's who don't care about others. Upset over a no smoking area? Get a life! read more

Cute park, well kept. The sites are cinders but relatively level. The only reason I didn't give 4 or 5 stars is I was a bit irritated by the owner. My wife and I are smokers and on day two the owner approached us and told us this was a non smoking park. While I respect their rite to set the rules I was a bit irritated. There is nothing stating this was a smoke free park on Good Sam, the park website, in the literature given at check-in nor is it posted anywhere on the property. If you're going to have a restrictive policy that affects guests it should be disclosed prior to check in. I even did my reservation over the phone and still wasn't informed. That's like checking in and being told you can't have a cold beer after a long day on the road. Needless to say we won't be back. read more
