Over the past 13 years, Sach's team has moved me four times, from 800 feet to 800 miles (the latest). I keep going back because it's personal with Sach. He's not moving my stuff, he's moving me. He answers his mobile and responds immediately. That translates to foreman Chris - whose 13 years with Sach gives him a keen eye for what a move will take and what the crew is doing moment to moment. The team is careful, efficient, and respectful. They show up on time and ready to go. They work together smoothly, from packing to moving to unpacking. They're family, and they treat me like family. A week after moving me five states earlier this month - a tightly coordinated three-day job where nothing chipped or broke - Sach found a framed picture that somehow was left behind. He called with great concern that I might be missing a memory item and told me to look out for it. Two days later, the photo of an important family memory arrived very carefully packaged. If you want a family business that will treat you like family, call Sach. read more

Sach moving and storage of NYC groomed me with pleasantries and professionalism until I paid my 10000deposit. We agreed on a date; Sach changed the date a couple of times. I was ok with the changes because my move was flexible. I was moving from NYC to OHIO. When we could not agree on an alternative date, Sach cancelled the contract and refuses to give me my 1000.00. I had to rent a U-Haul truck and pay people to move me. Sach was a nightmare. I am now trying to retrieve my 1000,00 form Sach. Sach refused to return the 1000.00 that he verbally committed to. We are now dealing with the credit card company to ascertain my 1000.00 Pateeser A. Jackson read more

We moved within New York in October 2023, from a two-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom apartment. We had an excellent experience. First, Sach himself came to inspect our place and provide an estimate. (Moving is expensive, but we thought the price was fair, given the amount of work involved.) The day before the move, four people came to pack our items, which took several hours. The day of the move, the same four people came, and spent over 10 hours moving our boxes and furniture. They were careful, helpful, and friendly throughout the entire experience. We were very happy. read more

Amazing job! Excellent company, the owner and his employees were efficient and respectful of all our personal items. Showed up early and got the entire apt packed in under 2 hours. Would HIGHLY recommend read more

Based on our positive experience moving some furniture a few years ago (see below), we hired Sach's Movers again to move the contents of our three bedroom Central Park West apartment to a storage facility while we renovated, and then, five months later, back into our apartment. They also moved some of our belongings to a furnished rental where we stayed during the renovation. It was a huge and complex job. Again it was a pleasure to deal with Sach and his crew. Chris, Sach's second in command, also is great. They are professional in every way. When anything went wrong (just small things like misplacing our silverware or breaking a small lamp), they responded immediately and corrected the problem. I recommend them without hesitation. read more

This is the third time we've used Sach's to move in NY. I can't say enough good things. Sach is all about excellent customer service, and is an excellent businessman as well. His workers are courteous and professional. They all go above and beyond to make your move a stress free and efficient as possible. They arrive on time, they take extra care with your property making sure things are properly packed, covered and secured to avoid damage. Sach is always responsive, personable and is genuinely a good person, willing to help. We will always use them for our moves in and around NY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

I could not be happier with their service!! Packing and moving things: they're so efficient and quick. And when the elevator at my new place was broken they didn't blink and eye and got everything up there! Price: I underestimated what I needed moved in our quote, so when Sach came up to reassess I assumed it would be so much more expensive and he gave a very reasonable quote. And that broken elevator? He had to charge me to get my things up there but even then he offered me a great deal. He didn't have to do that what else would I do but pay w/e he asked? Everyone was so nice, friendly and professional. You can tell that he wants to take care of his employees but also wants be fair and take care of you as well. read more

These guys have moved my husband and I three times! We keep using their services because they are fantastic. They are fast and meticulous. We have a house full of glass, mirrored and white furniture. Every piece has made it through the move in perfect condition every time! Their prices are incredibly reasonable. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased. We recommend them to all of our friends and everyone who has used their services has raved about them. It's so great to find a company that you can count on to deliver great service consistently. read more

With two days notice I went on the hunt for a professional moving company to get my stuff from a storage facility in NJ to my new apartment in Stamford ct. Sach's was available and provided the best price quote. They also were flexible on price and very understanding when we arrived on site and discovered I had way more stuff in storage than I remembered - whoops! We did have one picture frame break during the move but probably my fault a bit since it wasn't wrapped or protected properly. Sach and his staff were friendly and professional and I would hire them for future moves and recommend them to anyone who needs movers in the greater NYC area. read more

Hands down best movers I've ever worked with. Sach, Shawne, Chris, Rodger, Julio (I'm forgetting someone!) arrived early and made what was a highly stressful move for me better than I could have imagined. They are compassionate, professional, super skilled at what they do, lovely to spend a day with, and all around amazing. I'm so grateful my broker Greg Healy, connected me with them - a complete dream team from start to finish! Would recommend them in a HEARTBEAT! read more

We used Sach and his team recently to move a few large pieces of furniture from a 2nd-floor walk-up into a 3rd-floor walk-up, and we also used them to move our upright piano last fall. Sach's Movers are a total class act. They arrive punctually and work efficiently. Sach and all of his crew are friendly and they maintain positive attitudes the whole time even when the job is challenging and tiring! Sach works with integrity and thoughtfulness and we can tell that he trains his movers to do the same. They are committed to doing what you hired them to do, with excellence. Both times they took a lot of time and care in wrapping the furniture and piano and we noticed no scratches, etc. after the move. They even stayed to help put our furniture back together, even though they are not the ones who took it apart. Sach's Movers makes it possible to have a positive moving experience! We absolutely plan to use them again for any moving needs, and we recommend you do the same!! read more

i had every moving new yorker's nightmare. my movers canceled on me two nights before i was scheduled to move at the end of the month. i really didn't know what i was going to do. none of my friends can drive, i had a bunch of delicate furniture pieces, and it was the night of the 30th. i had reached out to sach's team a few weeks prior at the recommendation of my new apartment's realtor company and they were very kind, but because what i'd thought were my 'og' movers had 'confirmed' their availability, i'd canceled on them. cut to me frantically calling them again the morning of the 30th, explaining my plight and asking if there was any way that they could schedule me. sach was so kind and empathetic, and managed to make time for me for the next day in the afternoon. it was a day earlier than i was originally scheduled to move, but i was so happy to take it. i expected to spend my day finding / coordinating with new movers to secure their time, but the whole process, from initial re-reach out to confirmation was so breezy, and their team were so communicative on the day of (i'd gotten an email when sach's team was about half way through their first move that day, and then another to let me know they were on their way, and a call to let me know they'd hit traffic with an updated eta) that it really put me at ease, given how on edge i was after my last minute cancelation on top of the regular stress of moving!!! the cherry on top of it all was how quick, efficient, and friendly the whole team was. i had MORE stuff and more distance to cover than i did the last time i moved, but they managed to get it all done in an hour less time. not to mention this was their second move of the day!! i can't thank sach and his team enough, and i'm so happy i've finally found ACTUAL reliable movers at a cheaper price point than most others out there. these guys are My Mover Guys® from now on!! read more

We used Sach Movers twice. Both times yielded very positive results. The most recent one, was a month ago. Sachś team packed our belongings the day prior to the move. As we experienced last year , Sach and his crew were very respectful of all of our treasures, big and small. Sach is very professional, reliable and efficient. He is responsive and a good communicator. He responded to all my inquiries very quickly and put me at ease throughout the stressful process of moving. He is organized and tidy. This move included a stop at a storage unit before loading the truck at our apartment, which went well. In addition to the effort, fine attention to our belongings and furniture and all around great job, the extra bonus of the day is the friendliness and good humor of the crew; a group of really nice people who work well together. Moving is stressful. Sach and crew do their best to be supportive and make the move as positive as possible. I highly recommend Sachś Movers! read more

It's often difficult to find a moving crew you can trust. You spend several hours filling out quotes, talking to people on the phone, reading yelp reviews and asking friends for referrals. I found them on yelp because they were located near where I was moving to and it was the best decision I made. Sach's spoke to me several times over the course of a few days and thoughtfully asked questions about our move. It was at this point that I realized it was a no brainier to move forward with them. He and his crew were equally as impressive during the move. They took great care of our stuff, were polite, easy to work with and moved FAST. I have never seen a crew move that quickly! I moved from a 2nd floor walk up to a five floor walk up and it went so smooth and all the reassurance had my stress level down. Everything was damage-free and handled with care. The way I see it, things may happen to your stuff when you move it across the city (and up 5 flights of stairs) no matter who you use. The important thing is for the moving company to have your back in these situations. They went above and beyond! I would use them again without hesitation. Thanks guys! read more

Back in March I had the tough decision to move from my apartment that I was born and raised in. Never really moving in my life other than with a duffle bag over my shoulder from army base to army base, I have to admit it was nothing less than frightening. After calling a few places and doing some research and of course reading a few reviews which only made it worse. I came across Sachs while I was searching on yelp (already a week into my search) it was just by chance. I read on and seen rave reviews. I decided then, this was the place based on my fellow yelpers. I'm happy I did, Sachs was nothing less than professional, they were on time, fast and efficient. They showed respect for my items and more importantly got my stuff to the destination location safe. Your probably frustrated by now searching for a mover. Save your self some time and reach out to Sachs. read more

I've used Sach's Movers twice now and going forward, I wouldn't use anyone else. I have called a lot of different moving companies and Sach's rates are definitely the most competitive. They put a ton of effort into properly wrapping and moving my items to ensure nothing was damaged. I just had the walls painted in the new apartment before I moved in and I'm happy to report - no scratches after they left! Additionally, all of the guys are incredibly nice and accommodating. One of them even grabbed a drill and took down a floating shelf without being asked to! It was super helpful because I'm short and I have no doubt it would have been a challenge for me. They also tightened some loose legs on my coffee table and made sure to put everything back together that had to be taken apart for the move - my bed frame, headboard, bookshelves, etc. I hope I don't have to move again for quite a while, but when I do, I will definitely call Sach's Movers again! Highly recommend! Thanks, guys! read more

We moved from Philadelphia to Washington Heights and Sach's Movers were incredibly professional and reasonably priced. We found them on yelp and liked that they are from the neighborhood. We had a medium amount of furniture/boxes, but that included a heavy piano to move to a 4th floor walk up. We were pretty nervous about being gauged by movers from past experiences, but luckily the movers were amazing. Ahead of time, Gris provided all of the information we could ever ask for. She gave us a moving window of 11 am - 1 pm for the movers to arrive, which we assumed meant they would be there between 1 - 3 pm as it was snowing and in Philadelphia. They showed up with 4 guys at 11 am and moved us out in about an hour - record time! They went to our apartment in NYC in advance to measure the stairwell to make sure they could get the piano up the stairs and had a piano specialist waiting in case they couldn't do it. They seemed to really understand how much it meant to us that it wasn't damaged and did a great job getting it up the stairs - 5 guys and 45 minutes later - really impressive! We thought we would be moving until midnight and they were done before 7 pm - including the trip from Philly to NYC with no hidden fees. I highly recommend Sach's to anyone doing a local or out-of-state move. We originally thought about renting movers on each side of the move and renting the UHaul ourselves to save money, but it was worth it to work with Sach's for the entire move for the peace of mind. We also used them for a post-move cleaning service and are considering their flooring services. read more

I read the reviews here when I needed to get a piano moved into the school where I work. Based on the reviews I called. Within 24 hours, the piano was moved and done on time and professionally. (Because we're a school, they even waived a bit of the fee.) From beginning to end, I was treated remarkably well. Sach's wrote the book on how to treat customers. Cannot speak highly enough. read more

We recently used Sach's to move to our new apartment. They said they'd bring two movers but showed up with four!! We were moved to our new location 2 miles away within 3 hours. Everyone was courteous and the owner was there to meet us and move in the final piece. The only not so great experience was some scuffs on a few pieces of furniture. It was partially our fault because we didn't pack or protect these items well (IKEA stuff). Despite this we would use them again and suggest you do. Just be sure you pack or pay them to pack your items well as you would with any move. Great value and an excellent price. read more

I want to thank Sach and his team (Lev, Josh, and Chris) for making my transition a smooth and stress free moving experience. Legit, professional, affordable. Period. I had Sach's move a bedroom set I found on Craigslist. They were on time, careful, and knew what they were doing. I rode down in the truck with them and they loaded the whole thing into my apt, even helping put the bed and dresser together where I wanted it. I've had a lot of "moving" experiences in my life, and this is the best in terms of quality and value I've ever had. read more

I can't not say enough positive things about Sach's movers! They arrived right on time and ready to go. They were extremely organized and quick! His 3 other men were also fantastic! I love to support ma and pa shops and am grateful I found Sach's movers! Also their price was the best around and their quality of service did not suffer what so ever! Can a move ever be pleasant? In this case, yes! A million times yes! Sach and his crew were swift, helpful and caring. Our move was really intense. We have a baby and we knew we could not do any packing on our own. Sach and his crew packed everything. EVERYTHING. It was amazing. As they were working, Sach even said that he was going to leave some toys in the crib so the baby would have something to connect to that evening when everything else was in boxes. We also had them move and unpack us. We spent the day in our new home watching them work. And when they were done, we felt like we lived there, and that our life wasn't still in boxes. I hope to not move for a while, but I was use them again in a second and I would recommend them to anyone who needs movers. read more

Best movers ever!!!! I would 100% recommend Sach and his team. They moved my stuff in a very efficient manner and were also very attentive to detail. My husband and I are so pleased by Sach's movers. From the beginning Sach made sure to call me to go over the quote and answer all questions I had. I had contacted multiple moving companies too and Sach gave me the most reasonable quote. They called the day before our move to confirm the time and even showed up early. Sach's workers were all great. Very professional yet friendly. They took care into moving our belongings whether it was boxes or huge furniture. They were very flexible too since the building we were moving into was a bit hectic. If we ever move again, we'd def call Sach's movers. read more

Sach's movers did an amazing job!!! Based on reviews here on Yelp he was my first choice, but because he was fully booked the date I originally wanted to move, I talked to a few other moving companies as well, and none of them convinced me like Sach. So I changed my moving date to be able to work with him, and it was so worth it! He came with all the qualities that mattered to me: 1) Trustworthy --- I live by myself and didn't have anyone to help me with the move, so I needed movers that I can trust and that wouldn't BS me. Sach was the best choice. He's such a nice guy, I even left them alone with all my stuff because I had to do a quick run to the store. 2) Professional --- When I talked to Sach on the phone about my plans, I could quickly tell that he knows his stuff. He helped me put up a bunch of shelfs and paintings in the new apartment and was so professional, knew about the different walls, the beams, the work needed, he came with blankets, tools, and did a great job with everything. 3) Efficient - I really appreciated that Sach actively demonstrated his awareness of that he was working on the clock. He tried to be as efficient as possible, and even squeezed in a last job at the end even though we were already over the time I had booked. 4) Experienced --- I had asked Sach's movers to move my queen size bed from Ikea. From his experience he immediately knew how challenging that would be, gave me some advice but also made me aware of the risks of moving Ikea furniture. I greatly benefited from his experience, they disassembled the bed and carefully put it back together, and everything worked out perfectly. Huge thank you to Sach and team, I can only recommend him and hope to work with him again one day! read more

I just used these gentlemen for a move from Washington Heights to Princeton area in NJ, and they were polite and professional from beginning to end. They were also incredibly efficient at wrapping up the items to protect them and then wheeling them out of the apartment and down to their truck. Despite the drive, they were right on time at the other end. They also charged a very reasonable rate. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone. read more

Go no further! This is the only moving company you will ever need to use! Seriously, do not use any other movers but SACH'S MOVERS! They are amazing! I hired them to move me from Queens to the Bronx based on their previous Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. While there was an initial communication snafu, their phone system had issues, once we finally touched base about my move, everything else was smooth sailing. SACH'S was able to give me a quote based on photos & box dimensions. 3 movers were booked to move me from a one bedroom on a 2nd floor walk up to a one bedroom on the 5th floor of an elevator building. They were able to provide insurance certificates to the new building that I was moving into and confirmed the move 1 day before my move. On the day of the move they arrived early and got right to work. I have never seen movers work quicker and with more care then Sach & his team (& I've moved over 10 times in my life). They disassembled my bed (& reassembled in the new place), wrapped all my furniture for transport & hauled out what seemed like a million boxes in a timely manner. I even used them to clean out (broom sweep & mop) of my old apt. Sach, himself, did this clean out. Once in the new place, everything was brought into the building without any damage to my property or to the elevator & hallway of the new building. The move took a little longer than anticipated (some of that being my fault as I wasn't fully prepared for the move when they arrived) & I think I made them late to their next move, but there was never an issue with Sach & the rest of his team. They were courteous, professional & had great attitudes about helping me through one of the move difficult days in my life. And when it came time to settle the balance, the priced was not increased, I wasn't charged any hidden fees & I wasn't made to pay for the overage of time. Sach had quoted me a price before the move & he stuck to it! I rounded up to the nearest hundered & tipped them nicely as they deserved every last penny for their prefessionalism! Use not other movers than Sach & his AMAZING team! read more

DO IT. Just call them. Seriously. These guys are LOVELY. And took incredible care of my things, and worked...just...soooo hard. I have a large (uhm, LARGE) vinyl collection that I was moving. When it was moved INTO my house (now over 20 years ago) by another reputable moving company, one of the guys looked at it, said 'no way', and quit. Sach's (on the other hand) had all of them carefully loaded in just over an hour. All of the guys who came were so lovely and delightful. In terms of cost, I actually didn't shop around, but feel like given the amount of work they did, I got off EASY. I really feel like they were extremely reasonable, and handled little glitches in the process so wonderfully and professionally. Just a thought, generally speaking: please FEED these guys. Offer them sustenance. They hardly ate anything, but said most people never give them anything... They worked so incredibly hard for 10 hours, without taking a break (other than driving from one location to the next). Seriously. If you hire movers, treat them like guests. Give them liquids. Give them food to snack on! They're working CRAZY hard for you! They need energy!!! This was an incredibly difficult day for me (in many ways), and these guys made it as pleasant as anyone possibly could have. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Yet another glowing review! I was moving my bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen stuff from one roommate situation to another, both in Washington Heights, and found Sach's movers on yelp. Best thing I ever did! It got complicated, because the place I was moving into needed a major cleanout - The friend who lived there before collected every kind of music, with thousands of LPs, hundreds of CDs, DVDs, and books. We got a quote from 1-800-gotjunk, and Sach was cheaper, and amazingly efficient. He sent five people, and it took them four hours, but everything was done, and done well. We then hired them to do a deep cleaning of the new place, and again - efficient and professional. The actual move came next, including packing and cleaning the next day. Can't say too strongly how much we admired and appreciated Sach and his people! From the initial estimate to the final cleaning, everyone was pleasant, polite, and professional. We had to move some dates around, first for my convenience, then for theirs, but it was all wonderful! Don't look elsewhere - this is the right mover! read more

Which it certainly was. I moved from a five floor walk-up which is no easy feat.
