Sach moving and storage of NYC groomed me with pleasantries and professionalism until I paid my 10000deposit. We agreed on a date; Sach changed the date a couple of times. I was ok with the changes because my move was flexible. I was moving from NYC to OHIO. When we could not agree on an alternative date, Sach cancelled the contract and refuses to give me my 1000.00. We moved within New York in October 2023, from a two-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom apartment. We had an excellent experience. Based on our positive experience moving some furniture a few years ago (see below), we hired Sach's Movers again to move the contents of our three bedroom Central Park West apartment to a storage facility while we renovated, and then, five months later, back into our apartment. And when the elevator at my new place was broken they didn't blink and eye and got everything up there! It's often difficult to find a moving crew you can trust. You spend several hours filling out quotes, talking to people on the phone, reading yelp reviews and asking friends for referrals. I found them on yelp because they were located near where I was moving to and it was the best decision I made. Sach's spoke to me several times over the course of a few days and thoughtfully asked questions about our move. It was at this point that I realized it was a no brainier to move forward with them. He and his crew were equally as impressive during the move. They took great care of our stuff, were polite, easy to work with and moved FAST. I have never seen a crew move that quickly! Back in March I had the tough decision to move from my apartment that I was born and raised in. Never really moving in my life other than with a duffle bag over my shoulder from army base to army base, I have to admit it was nothing less than frightening. I've used Sach's Movers twice now and going forward, I wouldn't use anyone else. I have called a lot of different moving companies and Sach's rates are definitely the most competitive. They put a ton of effort into properly wrapping and moving my items to ensure nothing was damaged. I just had the walls painted in the new apartment before I moved in and I'm happy to report - no scratches after they left! Additionally, all of the guys are incredibly nice and accommodating. One of them even grabbed a drill and took down a floating shelf without being asked to! It was super helpful because I'm short and I have no doubt it would have been a challenge for me. They also tightened some loose legs on my coffee table and made sure to put everything back together that had to be taken apart for the move - my bed frame, headboard, bookshelves, etc. I hope I don't have to move again for quite a while, but when I do, I will definitely call Sach's Movers again! With two days notice I went on the hunt for a professional moving company to get my stuff from a storage facility in NJ to my new apartment in Stamford ct. Sach's was available and provided the best price quote. They also were flexible on price and very understanding when we arrived on site and discovered I had way more stuff in storage than I remembered - whoops! We did have one picture frame break during the move but probably my fault a bit since it wasn't wrapped or protected properly. We moved from Philadelphia to Washington Heights and Sach's Movers were incredibly professional and reasonably priced. We found them on yelp and liked that they are from the neighborhood. We had a medium amount of furniture/boxes, but that included a heavy piano to move to a 4th floor walk up. We were pretty nervous about being gauged by movers from past experiences, but luckily the movers were amazing. Ahead of time, Gris provided all of the information we could ever ask for. She gave us a moving window of 11 am - 1 pm for the movers to arrive, which we assumed meant they would be there between 1 - 3 pm as it was snowing and in Philadelphia. They showed up with 4 guys at 11 am and moved us out in about an hour - record time! They went to our apartment in NYC in advance to measure the stairwell to make sure they could get the piano up the stairs and had a piano specialist waiting in case they couldn't do it. They seemed to really understand how much it meant to us that it wasn't damaged and did a great job getting it up the stairs - 5 guys and 45 minutes later - really impressive! We thought we would be moving until midnight and they were done before 7 pm - including the trip from Philly to NYC with no hidden fees. I highly recommend Sach's to anyone doing a local or out-of-state move. We originally thought about renting movers on each side of the move and renting the UHaul ourselves to save money, but it was worth it to work with Sach's for the entire move for the peace of mind. We recently used Sach's to move to our new apartment. They said they'd bring two movers but showed up with four!! We were moved to our new location 2 miles away within 3 hours. Everyone was courteous and the owner was there to meet us and move in the final piece. The only not so great experience was some scuffs on a few pieces of furniture. It was partially our fault because we didn't pack or protect these items well (IKEA stuff). Despite this we would use them again and suggest you do. Can a move ever be pleasant? In this case, yes! A million times yes! Sach and his crew were swift, helpful and caring. Our move was really intense. We have a baby and we knew we could not do any packing on our own. Sach and his crew packed everything. EVERYTHING. It was amazing. As they were working, Sach even said that he was going to leave some toys in the crib so the baby would have something to connect to that evening when everything else was in boxes. DO IT. Just call them. Seriously. These guys are LOVELY. And took incredible care of my things, and worked...just...soooo hard. I have a large (uhm, LARGE) vinyl collection that I was moving. When it was moved INTO my house (now over 20 years ago) by another reputable moving company, one of the guys looked at it, said 'no way', and quit. Sach's (on the other hand) had all of them carefully loaded in just over an hour. All of the guys who came were so lovely and delightful. In terms of cost, I actually didn't shop around, but feel like given the amount of work they did, I got off EASY. I really feel like they were extremely reasonable, and handled little glitches in the process so wonderfully and professionally. Just a thought, generally speaking: please FEED these guys. Offer them sustenance. They hardly ate anything, but said most people never give them anything... They worked so incredibly hard for 10 hours, without taking a break (other than driving from one location to the next). Seriously. If you hire movers, treat them like guests. Give them liquids. Give them food to snack on! They're working CRAZY hard for you! They need energy!!! Yet another glowing review! I was moving my bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen stuff from one roommate situation to another, both in Washington Heights, and found Sach's movers on yelp. Best thing I ever did! It got complicated, because the place I was moving into needed a major cleanout - The friend who lived there before collected every kind of music, with thousands of LPs, hundreds of CDs, DVDs, and books. We got a quote from 1-800-gotjunk, and Sach was cheaper, and amazingly efficient. He sent five people, and it took them four hours, but everything was done, and done well. We then hired them to do a deep cleaning of the new place, and again - efficient and professional. The actual move came next, including packing and cleaning the next day. Can't say too strongly how much we admired and appreciated Sach and his people! From the initial estimate to the final cleaning, everyone was pleasant, polite, and professional. Go no further! This is the only moving company you will ever need to use! Seriously, do not use any other movers but SACH'S MOVERS! They are amazing! I hired them to move me from Queens to the Bronx based on their previous Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. While there was an initial communication snafu, their phone system had issues, once we finally touched base about my move, everything else was smooth sailing. SACH'S was able to give me a quote based on photos & box dimensions. 3 movers were booked to move me from a one bedroom on a 2nd floor walk up to a one bedroom on the 5th floor of an elevator building. They were able to provide insurance certificates to the new building that I was moving into and confirmed the move 1 day before my move. On the day of the move they arrived early and got right to work. I have never seen movers work quicker and with more care then Sach & his team (& I've moved over 10 times in my life). They disassembled my bed (& reassembled in the new place), wrapped all my furniture for transport & hauled out what seemed like a million boxes in a timely manner. I even used them to clean out (broom sweep & mop) of my old apt. Sach, himself, did this clean out. Once in the new place, everything was brought into the building without any damage to my property or to the elevator & hallway of the new building. The move took a little longer than anticipated (some of that being my fault as I wasn't fully prepared for the move when they arrived) & I think I made them late to their next move, but there was never an issue with Sach & the rest of his team. They were courteous, professional & had great attitudes about helping me through one of the move difficult days in my life. And when it came time to settle the balance, the priced was not increased, I wasn't charged any hidden fees & I wasn't made to pay for the overage of time. Based on reviews here on Yelp he was my first choice, but because he was fully booked the date I originally wanted to move, I talked to a few other moving companies as well, and none of them convinced me like Sach. So I changed my moving date to be able to work with him, and it was so worth it! He came with all the qualities that mattered to me: 1) Trustworthy --- I live by myself and didn't have anyone to help me with the move, so I needed movers that I can trust and that wouldn't BS me. Sach was the best choice. He's such a nice guy, I even left them alone with all my stuff because I had to do a quick run to the store. 2) Professional --- When I talked to Sach on the phone about my plans, I could quickly tell that he knows his stuff. He helped me put up a bunch of shelfs and paintings in the new apartment and was so professional, knew about the different walls, the beams, the work needed, he came with blankets, tools, and did a great job with everything. 3) Efficient - I really appreciated that Sach actively demonstrated his awareness of that he was working on the clock. He tried to be as efficient as possible, and even squeezed in a last job at the end even though we were already over the time I had booked. 4) Experienced --- I had asked Sach's movers to move my queen size bed from Ikea. From his experience he immediately knew how challenging that would be, gave me some advice but also made me aware of the risks of moving Ikea furniture.
