I had not been here for awhile but so glad I dropped in today. I ordered a cheese enchilada with mole sauce, along with chips and salsa (pico) and a $1 homemade red sauce and crema on the side. The mole was so delicious.....complex, spicy, sweet and dark....absolutely one of the best I've had. It is not always the same here but today since it is homemade over and over again but today they hit it out of the park. The beans and rice were also very good. The pico and chips were very fresh. We have been curious about Sabor for a while now and today was our lucky day! The sign literally says light fresh Mexican food and man are they absolutely right! We ordered the chicken chimichanga which was hot, crispy, huge, and delicious! We ordered a vegetarian and a chicken enchilada suizas. The filling was flavorful and spot on. The salsa verde was tangy and delicious l! We also ordered an app portion of pico de gallos and guacamole. Omg it was not only fresh but the chips were amazing. This restaurant has the absolute best guacamole in Poughkeepsie or Arlington or wherever, it's fresh, they make it there and their chips they make as well. I'm a vegetarian but I live above them and the delicious smells that come from them amazing and they always have the pineapple soda I love. read more

It's great to see Sabor back in action, which has been several months, and everything is what we expected. Same workers, same menu with some additional upgrades, including that and also the interior which was touched up. I just love Sabor. my favorite soup ever - tortilla soup. They prepare it differently from any other restaurant - a chicken broth base, stuffed with tortilla and shredded chicken, topped with sour cream, melted cheese, cilantro and a splash of hot sauce. Nice small business with friendly enough staff. A little under developed as I asked for one menu item and they did not have it and then when I asked for a take home menu, was told she needed the one I was holding back. I have to give props to the huge servings which in witnessed in the nachos. The beef I ordered on the nachos did not taste completely fresh to me but I can complain about the rest. You might miss this place driving by. I am just visiting but my son lives near and didn't know about Sabor. It's a small cafe type place with 4-5 tables but I suspect lots of people take out to-go. I had a chicken chili rellano that was delicious. It came with beans and rice. I have been coming here for a while and I love the food and the cozy setting! However, I ordered mole nachos with chicken instead of beef and they Dave me beef. When I went back to get it fixed. I was told by the lady at the counter that they don't make substitutions for the meat on the mole nachos--it only comes with beef (even though I can clearly see the beef isn't mixed in with the mole sauce). When I asked if I can change the order to chicken nachos instead, she told me I would be charged for the new order of nachos, so I just left and took my nachos with me. Not cool read more

If you like mango salsa chopped the second you order it, or authentic ethnic food so good that it's frequented by people from that culture then Sabor is it. It's a tiny space but the flavors are giant. Clean and not drown in sauces (unless you order that way) so you can taste the components of the dishes. I had three different kinds of tacos- the carnitas are amazing, the grilled steak was delicious, and the chicken mole was good (my least fav but still good). Rice and beans, guac and pico all great. They said they didn't have horchata because it wasn't in season¿? never heard of that. their burrito is a huge side, but if you've ever had good mexican food you'd know this isn't one of them. My husband had a mole chicken burrito and I had nachos with carnitas pork- the nachos were the best I've had, homemade chips still crunchy after the drive. They know what they're doing. We come back because the food is incredibly consistent, authentic, and yummy. My husband gets the same thing each time (taquitos rancheros) and I travel the menu. The tacos, the meat dishes (cochita pipil, cuban plate, carne asado), the tacos, and the quesadillas are delicious and fresh and familiar. The waitress, Mary, has a wonderful memory and sweet disposition. She is a doll. Ask for mexican sour cream on the side AND for the two homemade hot sauces. read more

I stopped in here for lunch and it is a nice little space. You can see the kitchen from where the seats are and the workers were really nice. I had the Texas ground beef soft tacos with rice & beans. The flavor was very good and it is a very filling meal. The food came out in minutes after ordering, so I was really impressed with that. The churros with the sweet glaze is delish for dessert.
