Tasty, moist and flavorful tamales (one chicken and one pork with mild red sauce) as well as delicious tacos (Al pastor and birria). I've heard good things about the mole sauce but they were sold out of it. The steak was a little tough but the flavor was delicious. Honorable mention to the rice and beans and guacamole! Wow wow wow. The portions were really great also. So much so I needed a box for my taco. Overall great value with a lunch meal for 3 with an appetizer for about $50 bucks. Great experience!

If not housemade, these are coming in every day for sure. $13-14 Rajas and cheese tamales: Didn't try these because of the cheese, but they were medium sized and smelled good $4 each Vegan black bean tamales: These come in banana leaves, which I've not had before. Like every other visit, we were not disappointed. Chips were hot and fresh and the salsa had that wonderful "bite". We also ordered cheese dip. Here they add jalapeños which really add to the flavor. My wife ordered flautas (which came with a nice salad) and I had chimichangas. (One chicken and one beef). Instead of being topped with cheese, I opted for a spicy " red" sauce which was excellent. We ate slowly enjoying every bite. El Torero first opened in 1981 and continues to be as excellent as the day we first came here many years ago. Two of the original staff from our Atlanta days are still working here albeit many years older. Service is extraordinarily. It doesn't matter who your server is. If someone sees your drink empty, a refill is quickly delivered. Driving back to the airport I asked my wife if the $51 car rental and $10 replacement gas was worth it.
