Churros
Chris D.

Not really a fan of Mexican cuisine But i wanted to try something different So I ordered "2 spicy burritos " Kept it simple and went with Ground beef nachos And churros. The nachos were nice I mean for delivery food It definitely worked I got everything on it Tomatoes, sour cream etc... The ground beef used in it Didn't give me the impression I would have to worship the toilet After eating I feel good after finishing my meal And the taste was flavorful without Being too salt The churros These were interesting Texture very on point And they have different filling in the middle This was a surprise I had the white filling ( my favorite) And the caramel filling The white stuff was somewhat vanilla, And buttery I repeat, for delivery food.. The slight crunch with the soft Doughnut like interior.... Two thumbs up FYI, this place is known for there burritos So next time i will try it

Tacos

This is my new go-to Mexican restaurant! The tacos have generous portions of meat. I recommend al pastor and asada. I would skip the churro. It might've been an off day, but the one I had was very dry. Note that older reviews mention free chips and salsa. There's a charge for it now, but it's a huge portion for about $3-4. Service has always been attentive and quick. I always come here when I'm craving tacos, but they offer so much more on their menu.

This is a great spot for some good Mexican food! The building is clean with decent seating and the menu has a lot of options. Everything we tried was very tasty with great flavor. We will definitely try them out again!

The best elote I've ever had. The food was good, I'll deff go back to try other menu items. I'm giving a 4 star because the tacos were great, just super dry and the sauce that came with it was a bit too peppery for my liking.

2 spicy burritos is located off of pleasant hill, the parking lot is a bit small, sometimes it can be packed. There are a mixture of food items you can order here. They obviously have burritos, but also serve Tacos, Tortas, Flautas, Quesadillas, Nachos, Sopes, Soup, Gorditas, dinner plates and many more! Staff is so nice and friendly! Food is amazing!!! I have had the tacos, let me tell you, they handmade the tortillas here so they're very delicious and fresh! Highly recommend the tacos! I've also had the milanesa de pollo (breaded chicken) Torta and it was very fulfilling. The asada quesadilla is also a good choice. There's so many different options to try, but I highly recommend you coming to try something on the menu. You'll be so happy you found this great gem! friendly staff, fresh and tasty food! Can't go wrong!

Friendly service, quick as well. Got my food to-go and my nachos were still crunchy!! It was exactly what I wanted, no fuss texmex style food. The quesadilla was thick with cheese and not grilled for too long. I just wish they had guac!

Omg this place is off the hook. Chile Relleno tacos are you kidding me? Nope on the menu, huge, seasoned, loaded with cheese and fixings, the carnitas are juicy, tender and flavorful too. But, when I saw the caldo de pollo on the menu, this So Cali Girl was SO happy. Chicken soup with all the extras (rice, tortillas, onion, fresh cilantro), a bone broth so rich and tasty You MUST try it. Best part...Uber Eats delivers. I'm in love! Second visit recently took the IT dept from work with me; they ordered burritos that were the biggest I have ever seen and delicious!!! We also ordered queso with chorizo and guacamole omgggg amazing!

I can't believe I never rated this place, I've been here so many times when I lived close by, and when they started delivering it was even better, usually have taco, they are so authentic, and the best part is they make their own tortillas, they are delicious, i've also had the burritos but they have a whole array of a very traditional Mexican food and drink, this would be the place I would bring somebody if they wanted to try authentic Mexican street tacos or food

Roasted pork burrito with queso (extra $2) - Be prepared to be embarrassed b/c it's SOO HUGE and smothered

I came hear after some positive reviews from friends and I was not disappointed. The service here was so quick and attentive. I loved that we got free chips and salsa. Now, while the chips and salsa were nothing to write home about, they were free so no complaints here. I ordered the carnitas (roasted pork) burrito with queso on top (extra $2). The meat was delicious. If you're a fan of super tender and fatty pork, then this burrito is for you! My only regret is that the burrito is wrapped with the rice and beans inside. I prob will ask for it to be separate next time so that the meat can really stand out. Plus, be prepared, the burritos here are HUGE!!! You will be embarrassed when it comes to your table all bursting at the seams and glistening with queso. So having the rice and beans on the side would probably make the burrito more manageable (and maybe less embarrassing... LOL). Either way, this meal is enough for dinner and lunch.

Frida's has a great outdoor dining space just as inside. Today they have decorated for Cinco De Mayo. The inside has the signature colored banners with wallpaper of beautiful flowers and portraits of Frida Kahlo all over. Ms. Elvia was an awesome waitress. She made sure everything was perfect. She was very attentive all while attending her other tables. We had the Nachos Mexicanos and the Frida's Guacamole. And when I say those 2 dishes was very flavorful. We usually leave with a togo box. But today we ate every bit of it. The nachos filled the plate and was loaded down. The guacamole hit every tastebud. With this one visit we are certain we will be back to try other menu items.

The service and staff have always been very friendly and welcoming, which is something we've appreciated. Unfortunately, after eating at Frida's the day after Christmas, we both became extremely ill. Beginning the following morning and continuing throughout the day, my wife and I have been vomiting nonstop and experiencing the exact same symptoms, including chills. We can't say for certain what caused it, but the common denominator is that the last meal we both shared was from Frida's. The timing and severity of the symptoms are very concerning, and if my wife's condition doesn't improve, we may need to go to the emergency room. This has been a really upsetting experience, especially given that we've trusted this restaurant in the past. The atmosphere is warm and typical for a mom and pop restaurant with no concerns to mention. We live less than 2 1/2 miles from Fridas and consider them as our go to Mexican restaurant. I'm sharing this not to attack the staff, who have always been kind, but to honestly report what happened and hopefully encourage extra attention to food safety and quality.

Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience this time. The food we received was burnt and overcooked, as seen in the pictures below. One order of tacos was actually a quesadilla instead. When we proceeded to call the restaurant to inform them they insisted that we drive 20 minutes back with the burnt food and the receipt in order to receive compensation, however due to the distance from us that was impossible for us to do and they could not provide us any other alternatives. The manger we spoke to was also very rude and unapologetic of actions and proceeded to encourage us to dispute the charge via our own bank accounts. Very unpleasant and rude staff which was disappointing considering we order from here multiple times. Would not recommend for corporate lunches and was disappointed in the lack of empathy or apologetic manner from the entire staff.

I had no idea who owned it before walking in (though I later read it's run by a mother and daughters team), but as soon as I stepped inside, I could feel the care and pride that's clearly been poured into this space. The interior is clean, colorful, and welcoming--everything from the decor to the spotless bathrooms signals that cleanliness and presentation matter here. I stopped in around 1 PM on a weekday and found a calm, relaxed atmosphere with three other tables of customers. There was one server on duty who managed the space well--attentive without being intrusive. She brought out complimentary blue tortilla chips and salsa. While the chips weren't fresh-made, they were decent--especially considering they're free. For my meal, I ordered the Veggie Fajitas with corn tortillas. The vegetables were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. Both the rice and beans had great flavor. The only real downside? The portion of refried beans was tiny--maybe two tablespoons at most. When I asked about it, the server mentioned it was due to "portion control," though that reasoning felt a bit unclear. She also said that their refried beans and black beans are vegetarian (which is unusual - most restaurants the refried beans are not). All in all, despite the just-okay chips and the skimpy bean portion, Lolita's delivered where it matters: flavor, cleanliness, and service. With a few small tweaks, it could easily be a 20 out of 10. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, definitely go give them your support. Local gems like this deserve to stick around.
