Horriable. I got veal parm, gave me chicken parm. I took a less then a 7/8 off of it and I realized it was chicken. I told the server. Argued with me that it was veal. Asked to make a new one and they did. The veal was unbelievably amazing...until I got the bill. They made me pay for 25% of the chicken parm because I had a bite and on top of that made me pay for my veal. Awesome food, awesome people. But that is wrong! read more

Four of us went on a Saturday night. This place is very popular and crowded. Luckily we got seats at the bar. Felix and Shannon took great care of us and everyone else too. We had appetizers including an antipasto plate. This was followed by entrees that were all delicious. We'll be back for sure. read more

I had an hour or so to kill before a party. I thought a glass of wine and uninterrupted sounded amazing. There was an empty seat at the end of the bar. I asked if it was taken- I was told it wasn't. I was then looked and ignores by no less than three bae staff. I asked to see a wine list and before the guy could answer a woman bartender said "isn't that Leo's seat?" Which was followed by two wAitresses and the female bartender then discussing if Leo was coming. Still no one addressed me at all. I asked again if the seat was taken. STILL no one addressed me but seemed to be looking for someone- I'm assuming Leo, who I imagine is a regular. Wakefield is a small town. First time here. Our waitress was also the hostess? The waitress/hostess seemed to act very childish and talk to/pay more attention to the people at the bar than us. Talking to the bartender and the other waitresses more than us. Dancing and talking so loud that I now know her life story... the mozzarella sticks look like your typical frozen from the box. Now our waitress is currently acting like a bartender putting on a show for the people at the bar... Also the waitress has a table in the middle of the restaurant that they have the food they are eating and drinks they are drinking. And now our waitress instead of getting a refill or seeing how we are doing is currently getting a massage from another employee... Weird in front of customers... I forgot that it was karaoke night for the waitress, I think she changed the song 15 times while I was here for an hour... both of our food was over spiced and over cooked and very chewy chicken. The food was OK. The pasta was overcooked. The restaurant is small and the bar is right on top of the tables where you eat. The bar was packed and we literally couldn't hear each other talking. If you are looking for a small, loud bar to hang in, then this is the place to be. If you want to enjoy a nice dinner, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Great place to go if your looking for great food and a kool atmosphere. Both times i have went had a 30 minute wait but no problem as the bar is great . Very cool and modern and the bartenders do Great job keeping up despite how busy it is . Both times started with a eggplant rollatini app so delicious . My meals have both been equally delicious. First time i had the veal parm next time the pork braciola both excellent . The only thing holding sabtinos back from betting the 5 stars is that it is slightly over priced especially for a suburban restaurant but i would still recommend giving it a try read more

Meh for sure. We went with another couple on Sunday night and were extremely disappointed! The service was mediocre at best, and the food was not good! We ordered the fried calamari for an app - since it usually indicates if the rest of the meal will be good. The batter was super thick, the calamari chewy and over cooked. I ordered the Ciappino over homemade fussili - and nothing on the plate was the same temperature. The mussels were funky, and everything was cold to lukewarm. It also didn't help that we sat near the entrance and people were smoking in the doorway - so the place smelled awful. I will never go back again. I cook Italian food 100 times better! If I go out local for Italian again it will be Vinny's at Night or Victor's on Route 1. read more

Pretty pointless to dine here unless you're a regular customer. You'll see friends of the manager getting seated before you even though they just walked in, the bartenders chit chatting with their bar regulars while you wait 15 minutes for a new drink, and idiotic, drunk patrons making a scene -- probably because they're getting served three times as much as you are. Certainly NOT a place for a quiet, romantic evening out. NOT even a place to get good Italian. But please, come here if you want to uselessly wait in a sea of drunk townies to receive average, overpriced food. read more

I have eaten here a handful of times and always had good food. A few months ago my husband and I went and sat at the bar. We had some of the worst service ever and haven't been back since. We were in the mood for Italian tonight so we decided to order out from here. The woman who took our order over the phone was so unbelievable rude to my husband that I couldn't even bare to give them our service. We cancelled our order and I will never be returning. I am not one to post reviews, but this place it worth me posting one. I have heard good things about this place, but I am still trying to figure out what is so good about it. I have tried it twice now, and both times have been disappointed. Both times the hostess was beyond rude. The servers was less than pleasant. The food was average. For someone that would never step foot in an Olive Garden, I am sure they would be a step above this place. Nope. Hoped this food was going to be good, but it's not. It's an older, large, wealthy crowd that gets loud and drunk. A fun hang out perhaps but not quality cuisine. When trying Italian joints, first time around, I always do linguine w/clams, white sauce, if it's on the menu... Awful. No shells? Translation: canned clams. Disgusting. And Wife's lasagna's secret ingredient? Philadelphia cream cheese, I would guess. Very bland. My daughters chicken parm was ok, but for the high price, not good enough. Next time? Ugh! Worst restaurant I've ever been to. Clams casino was a sad scene...raw bacon on top a frozen chopped fishy clam. We just recently moved to Wakefield, and so far I've gotten takeout twice, and dined in once. We've had the gnocchi and the chicken matrigiana (sp*?), and both are sooo delicious. Two entrees and two glasses of wine ran us about $60, which isn't too steep, especially considering portions are massive and you get about two meals off of leftovers! Went for dinner the other night for the first time. We tried before but couldn't get a space in the area so we left. So glad we tried again food was fresh and well prepared the grand mariner was Delish. Everyone's plates were empty and all were happy. Try the antipasto nice arrangement of meats and cheeses. One of my favorite restaurants. The eggplant is the best I have ever had. I used to go to their Malden location ages ago and was devastated when they closed. My mother and I spent years trying to find a replacement but nothing came close. We were ecstatic when the Wakefield location opened almost ten years ago, it quickly became our go to place. Love this place! An old friend was in town for the weekend and suggested me and some friends meet up here since it's halfway between Boston and Northern MA, where we were all coming from. My fiancee is usually quite particular about Italian restaurants (since his family owns one), but after looking at the menu and scarfing down our delicious meals, this will definitely be a place to return to! The food was fresh and hot and the servers were very attentive and friendly. Downtown Wakefield can be hard to find parking sometimes, but there are lots of lots around the venue where you can park.
