Another major plus for me is that I'm very rough with my hands but the way she puts gel on stays on with no chips or breaks. She was definitely worth the wait! I just periodically hit her up to see if she had any openings or cancellations and when she did I rushed over and got to see what she was all about! And boy!!!! Was I impressed! PROS -SANITARY!!! When I grew out my nails while using gel-x I asked for the forming gel so I it could give my nails a more curved shape so they wouldn't be so flat and she mentioned she didn't have the proper gel type for it. However, I later found out that it was doable with the gel she had and I felt like she just didn't want to put in the effort or material she had towards giving me what I wanted. She seemed frustrated and annoyed because she noticed I saw her work was very uneven and sloppy and when she gave me the filler to fix it myself, I filled a top portion that had a huge bump. She thought I was gonna file the side and she got upset I I filled off the top portion. I went to her one last time and stopped going since I wasn't getting the results I was looking for. She does great work if your specifically looking for her style of nails, as seen in her pics. What's upsetting is that when I asked and showed her what I was looking for from when I first booked, she confirmed it was something she would be able to do. I was extremely overcharged for the work she did and I would have preferred if she just told me she wasn't able to do the work I was requesting. This was my personal experience with Vicky.

This time, less than a week after my appointment, two of my nails broke and the color on the others started fading. When I brought this to their attention, their response was very disappointing. They didn't even apologize. Instead, they wanted to charge me an additional $30 just to change the color. When the work doesn't even last a week, I believe the salon should take responsibility rather than ask the customer to pay extra. On top of all that, they charge extra for almost everything, including removing old nails and trimming your nails. Other salons don't charge separately for every little service like this, which makes the overall experience even more frustrating. This isn't the first time I've had a disappointing experience here. I had a similar issue with my eyelash extensions, and their response was just as unprofessional. At the very least, I expected a simple apology for the wasted time and inconvenience of having to come back to get the work fixed. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I'll be sharing my experience with others who go here. Good customer service means standing behind your work and treating customers with respect. Sadly, that was not my experience at this salon.

I also clearly stated that I was there for gel acrylic. (The whole package was already paid on classpass) Instead of confirming the service with me, the technician proceeded with a different application (what appeared to be Gel-X). Only after the service was completely finished was I informed that there would be an additional $20 charge. At no point before beginning the service was I asked whether I agreed to this additional charge. When I questioned why I had not been informed or given the option to approve the charge beforehand, my concern was essentially ignored. What was especially concerning was that the owner was present and witnessed the interaction but did not step in or address the situation. The overall experience was extremely disorganized and unprofessional, from the appointment check-in to the communication surrounding the service and unexpected charge. I am currently escalating this through the appropriate channels. I also wish I had looked into the reviews more carefully beforehand. There are already multiple people discussing their experiences with this establishment online, including on TikTok. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way. Businesses should not be charging customers unexpected fees after a service has been completed without clearly disclosing and receiving approval for those charges beforehand. I hope the owner takes this seriously and addresses the way customers are being treated. Luckily my situation is being escalated and classpass is investigating.

I asked what's the difference, she explained color change is just painting polish and manicure/pedicure is cuticle care and nail clipping/filing. I said no, just color. We get done and they bring me her bill, total of $37. I questioned the price difference, as their menu shows $17 for the total. The lady from the front comes and tells me they just raised their price last week and walks away. I grab the menu book which still shows $7 hands $10 feet for kids under 10. I said the advertised prices are not updated. She said they "just haven't changed their menu, and offered to show me the pricing that increased on their system". I told her that customers look on the menu for prices not the POS system, and you should've disclosed up front that your prices increased before we decided to get my daughter's nails done. I asked if the pricing on adult manicure also has increased, she said no. Just the kid's pricing increased. How convenient that you happen to only increase the kid's pricing. Also, $37 is double of the original $17. That's more than a double price increase! The law requires merchants to disclose accurate prices on their menu, and if their menu is not updated, they're required to disclose the current pricing up front. Whatever, I'm sure that's illegal and falls under false advertising, but I went to the front to pay for it anyway to not make a scene. She requests cash/zelle payment. I said I don't have cash and pay with my card. She says there's a 3% card fee but she will waive it this time. I said it's ok, go ahead and charge it. I ask to leave the tip on my card, she said "oh you have to tell me before. If you wanna leave tip on your card I can charge your card again just for tip". I ask if I'll be charged 3% fee again, she says yes. First, she knew I had no cash. She should've said the tip needs to be added before I pay. Other shops ask if you want to include tip if their system doesn't have an option to add tip after. Second, she'll waive the 3% the first time, but not for the tip? Lastly, the shop needs to either not have prices disclosed on the menu, and if they will, they're required to update menu when price increases, not just charge whatever they want, whenever they want. Customers expect to pay a price that is advertised, and not be hit with a bill that is more than double of the amount disclosed on the menu. I walked out upset and disappointed, I'll never come back here again. There are too many other local nail shops that run their business with integrity. Don't waste your money here. Their shop is nice and fancy, but zero honesty and they reuse their disposable nail files/buffs.
