Yes, five stars. I had a very, very old car. I'd been using cars.com to get notifications of…read moresales on the car I had in mind, a newer (but not new) Subaru Forester. An amazing deal kept popping up for a 2017 Forester, very nicely equipped, fairly priced and wicked low mileage at this dealership. I finally bit the bullet and notified them, via email, that I was coming in to test drive this one. Minutes after I dropped my email, Kathleen called me from the front office. I told her I'd be by within the hour. My wife and I showed up and met a wonderful sales person, Courtney. We instantly clicked and while driving the car, I said "this is the one I'm buying". This was around 10am. My very old car wasn't worth much (I knew this going in) and we got $500 for my car's trade in. Courtney said if we wanted this car, she could make it happen....today. So we left a deposit on our credit card (for the points of course) and headed to our bank to get a cashiers check for the rest of what we wanted to put down. Courtney called at 2:30 asking if 3pm would work for a pick up. Yes, it works. So 6 hours after driving this car, it was mine. She was FABULOUS, no pressure and honestly, felt like a friend when we left. (we hugged--who hugs their car salesperson?)- I guess I do, when it's someone as comfy and sweet as Courtney.

Initially a chevy dealership charged me 100.00 to diagnose the problem and then quoted me 170.00 to fix it. After a few months of no heat and my car running loudly we decided to seek out a local mechanic. After many names were mentioned we decided on Kurt Anderson. Kurt fixed my heat with a flush. It cost me 60.00. It was the first time that I left a car repair shop and did not feel taken advantage of because I am I female in a male dominant industry. I highly recommend Kurt Anderson.

We've never had a better experience buying a car at a dealership than what happened at Gengras this…read moreweek. The quick bottom line: They showed a good inventory, our salesman was thoughtful and non-pushy, all of the employees we met were helpful and transparent, and the price we paid seemed eminently fair. We recommend them without hesitation, but we want to go into a little more detail in an effort to be helpful to possible purchasers. We located a used car we liked from their online inventory, called and made an appointment to see it. We were met with an uncommonly helpful salesman, Hunter, who was focused on learning about us and our needs. He knew the car, he was responsive to our questions and concerns, and he was never aggressive. He also had a sense of humor (as did others we met). We liked the car -- a 2022 Hyundai Kona -- and thought the price was quite reasonable given the mileage (low) and the lineage (good reputation). We were treated consistently with respect and a sense of helpfulness. Our income Is limited, and no one seemed eager to push us beyond our means. In other words, not at all like so many of the car sales people we've confronted in years past. One we reached a sales agreement, we went to work with Tai, the business manager, who proved a knowledgeable delight in guiding through the intricacies of car financing. He explained options carefully and thoroughly and, again, never pushed us. It was altogether an experience that only says very good things about the operation at Gengras in Torrington. We believe Yelp serves a valuable purpose in helping others find the products and services they need. We believe that purpose is best served by Yelpers with sincerity and honesty. So, we want to repeat what we said above: our experience at Gengras was 100% positive. There is every expectation that we'll be back sometime down the road to look into other purchases -- with the hope they don't change what they've got going for them right now!.

We drove 25 miles south and bought car in 2 hours. I give 3 stars for unknown reason. Super frustrating sales experience. Ultimately this does not bother us, we bought a new Subaru..just not here.

They truly went above and beyond when my Chrysler 200 wouldn't start. Eric came to my home to jump it, and when that didn't work, he and his associate even pushed the car out of my garage to make it easier for AAA to tow. The next day, they picked up the Cadillac, gave me a clear and honest quote for the brake repair, and thoroughly explained other items I should monitor and address in the future. They also printed out the recall information for the vehicle and, knowing we're new to the area and still learning the local roads, arranged for me to have the recall work done at a convenient nearby location. When I went to pick up the vehicles, both were ready at the same time and I was there alone. Eric immediately offered for one of his office staff to drive one of the cars to my home while I followed with the other and brought her back. The level of care and thoughtfulness made me feel like part of the family. It's so refreshing to find a family-owned business that genuinely values its customers and shows it in every interaction. The Quiet Zone has earned my complete trust and loyalty. I could never go anywhere else for my vehicle service needs. Highly recommend -- give them a try and you'll see the difference for yourself.
