Always happy with their work. They keep my 2012 Ram going down the road. They are a great crew to work with and have always been accommodating to me. read more

Poor communication and not friendly at all I have no desire to bother with these people, I left a message for a call back from Matt I got crickets screw these jerks read more

Everything went well. They did exactly what they said they would do. In fact, I brought them several issues and I was unable to get resolved with different service providers. They were able to do it with no problem. In addition, they were very accommodating to my schedule. Finally, their overall demeanor was excellent and I highly recommend them. It's very difficult to find service providers that are trustworthy and extremely competent. I was fortunate enough to work with Bill but the whole team is extremely confident. Thanks, Bill, I appreciate all the effort you have expanded on my vehicles. read more

Nightmare in Woodbury! 1. Overfilled Transmission fluid 2. Underfilled Engine oil 3. Double charged $48 for additional 4 quarts of ATF because they changed the ATF fluid twice instead of only once. Should have only changed the ATF after the new external filter was installed!! 4. Cost an extra $15 for additional engine oil because it was not re-filled correctly on first visit 5. Didn't reset engine oil use light on dashboard after oil and filter change 6. Never re-connected the main air intake hose to the mass air flow filter box 7. Lost ring clamp to main air intake hose 8. Left plastic cap from quart of oil floating around in engine compartment. Bottom line, completely overcharged at $580 ($367 labor plus $214 parts I supplied) to diagnose a fluid leak (easy 30 minutes at best), change engine oil and filter ( easy 15 minutes at best), change ATF fluid and replace external ATF filter ( 45 minutes at most)! This was a basic service! If I didn't know any better, one would think they were actually trying to destroy my car not repair it! Very disappointed and not going back any time soon if ever. Too bad because MBG used to be good. read more

Murray Brother's: a $202 oil change I wish I could do 0 stars. I am not one to write reviews as I am more of a word-of-mouth kind of person. I recommend restaurants, car repair shops, places that are generally great with service and with price! I only write reviews when I feel compelled to or feel specifically wronged as customer.... Hello Murray Brothers! Thank you for charging me $202 for a standard oil change (synthetic oil) and for asking you to "check my transmission"! You were so kind and understanding to tell me not to come back again when I displayed the obvious sticker shock I was feeling. Your standard oil change for synthetic oil you told me is $120. Hold up though, because your labor is $125 an hour and the parts on the itemized bill is $63, totaling to $188. Something doesn't add up. Where is the cost of "checking my transmission"? I've never paid over $100 for a standard oil change and I called P.C. up the road once I pulled out of your lot and got a quote for my make and model with synthetic oil for $72! What in the actual hell is this ripoff you are pulling? I sincerely hope as many people as possible see this review when looking you guys up. This was completely insane for you to think a person asking for a standard oil change and "if you could check my transmission" to charge me well over $100 dollars more than I would have paid just up the road. To all those who like to spend their hard earned money foolishly: COME HERE, give these people your business, enjoy the ripoff and stay for the hostility! I am never coming back to these pinheads. Edit: to be clear, the last I paid for an oil change was around $50 which was just before the summer. I was just quoted by my trusted place for $72 which is an increase that is fair and understandable. Marine Auto just quoted me $60 today. And yes they did take $40 off my total bill because it was already such an insult, but that doesn't change the original billed amount. This place is nothing but a total ripoff. Be warned, don't go here if you want to be treated fair, and read the other 1 star reviews on here and especially Google reviews... I'm not alone and they do this to customers often. They seemed seasoned in doing this with their immediate combative response, telling me putting the car on the lift was so tough and connecting the computer to the car cost all that extra dough. Way overpriced! read more

Auto repair like it should be. They do nice work an modern cars, and great work on classics. Mine is neither; I have an '06 Jeep that needed a part no longer made. The dealer wouldn't touch it and nobody else offered anything. Bill, the manager at Murray Brothers, said it was something he could do, and he did. I guess anybody can change parts, but it takes a great mechanic to make a part that works. Nice people, nice location and an interesting collection of antiques and automotive themed sculptures. Thanks. read more

As a new resident in CT, my Toyota needed an emissions test as part of the vehicle registration process. While the test was being performed, one of the mechanics happened to walk by and heard a noise from engine. He came out and let me know it sounds as though the water pump was going. Set up an appt and the work was done on time, as scheduled. The technician who performed the emissions test was also very friendly and professional. First impressions are important and Andy and his team won me over. Tom K - Southbury read more

There is no other garage in town with whom I would trust my vehicles. I first brought a car to Murray's when, over two months, four other garages couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Andrew and company had it back on the road the next day. They are very accommodating, scheduling around days off so we're not stuck without a car, and try to rush emergency repairs for us (calling ahead and making an appointment is a big help for routine maintenance, BTW). No job is too big or two small for them, and they take the time to explain what they did to get your vehicle running. It's also the local emissions testing station, and they try to get you out very quickly - who wants to hang around a garage waiting? It's rare to find a garage you can trust completely. Murray Brother's is one of those places. Don't hesitate to bring your car for repairs there. read more

$100 for an oil change??? This garage is WAY overpriced! I was charged $45 just for the oil (synthetic, which I did not request and don't need) as well as $30 for labor, plus more for filter. Definitely will not be going back. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me! read more

I am so glad that emissions testing is done at a business with a licensed technician ‍. Gone are the days of waiting in long lines to get it done . It was a quick and painless experience. Mary had my car done in ten minutes or less. And I was just getting into this interesting article in one of the magazines in their waiting room . She brought me my keys, chatted with me a few minutes, and had my car waiting for me just outside the door. read more

Can't say enough about the team at Murray Bros. They are honest, efficient, professional, and care about their clients. To the mechanics credit, they do solid reliable work. Hourly rates are reasonable as well. However, I recently brought a vehicle in which I specifically told both the manager and the shop clerk was just having some issues taken care of in preparation for sale. Specifically told them both keep it on the cheap and somehow that turned into ordering parts that cost about 25% blue book value of the car. At that point I would expect a call. In the end I would have been better off selling the car as is, no communication. read more

I echo the other 5 star reviews and highly recommend Murray Brothers for your auto repair needs. I usually do my own auto repairs, but if it's something a little too much for me to handle I bring it to Murray Brothers. They are honest and professional. Reasonably priced as well. They've always done any work I've brought them with complete satisfaction. read more

These guys are great and very honest. They specialize in Audi's but their skills are valuable with most vehicles. The brothers who own the garage also build and race as well. Here is a link to their URL http://murraybrothersgarage.com/ read more

I'm absolutely devoted to these guys. If you're not a car person yourself, Murray Brothers is the next best thing. Being a Murray Brothers customer is like having a brother/father/uncle who's a car guy. Murray Brothers has been taking care of my cars (a series of Subarus) for about 10 years now, and I trust them absolutely. Their prices are fair, their service is efficient and they really stand behind what they do. They are also very candid about when a repair is worth the time/money and when it's time to just throw in the towel. The ONE TIME there was a problem after they serviced my car (they forgot to re-connect a hose), they sent a guy out after hours to fix it on-site for no charge. How could you not love that? As a woman, I really appreciate the fact that Andrew and the Murray Bros. crew are always willing to stop what they're doing and take a look at my car whenever I bring it in with a funny sound, or if the engine knocks, or if the check engine light goes on. Even on a Friday afternoon in July! Their waiting room isn't posh, but it's comfortable. And they have free high-speed wireless service available for customers and funky artwork (paintings, prints and sculptures) throughout the premises. I cannot recommend Murray Brothers highly enough. Definitely the coolest garage in the area. read more

Murray Brothers repaired my car when many other garages wouldn't take on the job! I had some restoration work done to make my classic Saab driveable again. It was good to know that the owners are Saab enthusiasts. They allowed me to view my car on a lift to see what condition it is in. That was great! I have never had a garage do that before. I dropped the car off the next day after my initial diagnostic visit. I got it back a few days later. To my surprise, they even completed some smaller jobs which previously were unrepairable due to lack of parts. I was so happy to get my car back on the road! Thank you very much, Murray Brothers! read more
