Egg and labneh

So yummy! Love the flavors of salty, spicy, and a little bit of sour. Lovely ambiance, lovely location, love the sneaky little tomatoes they have growing outside.

Fresh sourdough

This is such a wonderful addition to this particular area in Laguna Beach. We were waiting for this to open and what a delicious surprise that all the foods, the bagels, the pastries, the sourdough bread, the frozen foods that you can prepare at home the jams, the snacks, the coffees everything is so delicious and so flavorful we just love this little breakfast spot. There's so much seating outside. There's a little on the inside, but you really wanna sit outside where you can see everything very kid and dog friendly. With a restroom right around the corner. Parking very close by.

Avocado Toast and Market Greens Sandwich
Ariana L.

We stopped here for lunch after going to the Laguna Beach farmers market. They offer a variety of baked goods and bread. All their menu items use their rye bread as well. To be honest, I think the bread was the best part of the meal. I ordered the avocado toast for $16, and unfortunate I think I could make better at home. The avocado was good but was heavily seasoned. Other toppings included cheese, tomatoes, and a generous amount of dill. Don't get me wrong it was fine, but I just wasn't a huge fan of the flavors. The market sandwich was also pretty mid. Basically a bunch of veggies on bread, which was about $14-15. I didn't try any of their sweets, so maybe those are better. But overall, I wasn't too impressed with the food here.

A true hidden gem , you can absolutely drive past this place and never know it was there. It's inside a whimsical, picturesk Little shopping center.it has a storybook feeling to it, very cute. Morning time around 10 for breakfast was a little bit of a long line but nothing we couldn't handle and absolutely worth the wait. My favorite breakfast in town so far. Had the rye breakfast sandwich which was delicious. Also the rye breakfast plate which didn't disappoint. Arnold Palmer tea was not the best., but the latte made up for it. Rye pancakes were very yummy.. and we absolutely loved our scone and coffee cake. We left this place full and very happy. We will absolutely be back.

First time trying this place. Cute little place. All the pastries looked delicious. Staff was friendly and nice. Ended up ordering quite a few things.

Chilaquiles $19.00
Karen M.

In Laguna for a little getaway mid week. Had a friend recommend Rye Goods as a great breakfast option. Arrived mid morning, around 10:30, was impressed by the people waiting in line and the outdoor tables that were filled with groups of friends enjoying their food. As one who loves Hispanic food I ordered the chilaquiles.. yummy mid morning breakfast, I thought. Unfortunately, cheese listed on the menu (Feta?, what about queso fresco?) was not available; replacement options were cheddar and Parmesan, a little odd all the way around, however I went with white cheddar. The dish arrived with very little cheese, the tortillas crisps were overpowering in chili sauce, way too much cilantro, decent amount of avocado, and the best part of the dish was the perfectly cooked egg. I could barely eat the tortillas due to the immense chili sauce, the egg was great- should have just ordered an egg.

We ordered the peach burrata toast, the fruit wheel and the savory croissant, as well as the saffron latte. Everything was delicious and it's a very cute spot to enjoy. It gets quite busy, so go early!

A cute place for coffee and pastries in Laguna by the beach. I love their drinks and their coffee here is top quality. Tried their seasonal caramelized date cortado and it was incredible!! Food and pastries are average given the price. Some I've tried are not bad but usually lean dry. The coffee cake was a bit dry but not too sweet which I liked. I've had their pretzel which is not bad but a bit dry - would be amazing if dipped in a cheese or mustard sauce. Their breakfast place was great - definitely asked for ketchup on the side but really lovely simple plate served with amazing house bread that was the best thing on the plate. Service is great and everyone is super nice and helpful.

Leek soup

Wow not sure why this only has a 3.8 rating, I loved it here. Parked on the street & found some with no issue but depending on time of day it can get busy. I got the matcha latte with no sweeter & it was one of the best I've had. Also had the potato leek soup which was delicious along with included sourdough bread. We also got a cheese croissant which was so good. Service was fast & friendly. Plenty of seating inside & outside.

CHILI BAGEL SAMMY
Kymbria O.

Okay so the first the Sammy Chili Bagel is so delicious I had to bring my friend back to try it too! The cheddar jalapeño bagel was fresh, the cream cheese was delish just 10s across the board. On the other hand the Peaches and Cream Matcha latte sounded so delicious as a matcha lover and it was a complete disappointment, ngl i want my $10 back for that drink lol. It did not have a distinctive peach flavor or even matcha for that matter. It was milky and flavorless a complete opposite experience from the bagel. Maybe stick to the food and not the drinks when trying. Staff was super friendly chill vibes and the atmosphere was relaxing chill vibes as well. Will definitely be a forever fan of that bagel no doubt. Y'all broke my heart with the matcha though.

Seasonal Drinks as of December 2025

This is a cute little bakery with a few tables inside and plenty of outdoor seating, and a front and back entrance. I came across it as I was walking in the area in 2024, and have been here a handful of times since then. It used to be pretty good. I remember ordering the morning bun just because it is one of my favorite items. The morning bun- $6 is 2.5 stars. It is a little bit salty, and it tastes a little stale when it should be a sweeter pastry. It is lacking the crunch like other places I have had it. This time around, I also got their GINGERBREAD MAN COOKIE $7- 4 stars. It was a big, buttery, moist cookie, and the taste of molasses shined through. I was really looking forward to the apple turnover $7- 1 star, but it was the saddest of the bunch. It was very greasy on the outside and the layers fell apart. However, the inside was very dry and salty. The line is long and there is a bit of a wait, but the cashiers are nice. After paying $19 for three pastries, I really hoped they would taste decent. I had to throw the apple turnover away unfortunately because it was not edible. The quality of pastries has gone down. Not sure if they changed bakers or what the case is. I will not be returning.

Croissants

I had high hopes for this place after hearing great things but was very underwhelmed. We ordered a hot latte, iced oat milk vanilla latte and two pastries...but the barista switched the two and we are still unsure who got the oat milk and who had regular milk. Both coffees tasted burnt and bitter. My husband really enjoyed his pan our chocolate. The sweet scone was ok but nothing amazing. It has a nice patio area outside and the staff were friendly. Be prepared to wait in like a while. Can't say we'd go back to pay $30ish for two pastries and two coffees that were incorrectly made.

Jam thumbprint
Dawn F.

Laguna Beach, CA Imitation is the best form of flattery. The strawberry jam thumbprint cookie is unique and one I just have not perfected to duplicate at home. Even though it's not a big cookie, it is quite rich and paired with a cup of tea, it is quite delightful to share and enjoy. This is not a typical thumbprint cookie, it's made with butter and a unique blend of flour and brown sugar to make it darker in color than your normal thumbprint cookie. The texture is soft and chewy but hefty and it almost melts in your mouth. I would put this at the top of my list as one of my favorite bakery cookies. The seeded bagel with house green scallion cream cheese is great as well, I forget to ask them to only slice it in half, versus in quarters. I haven't loved everything I've tried here although these seem to be my favorites so far. Service here is very pleasant the staff gets to know you.
