I've been a patient here since 2023, and my visit on June 26, 2025, for my annual teeth cleaning and X-rays was as excellent as always. The hygienist, dental assistant, and front desk staff are all incredibly thorough, easy to speak with, and very friendly. Dr. Ryan Partnoff is transparent about any necessary dental work, never pushing unnecessary procedures. While he is out of network for my PPO plan, I'm happy to pay a little extra. If I could award 10 out of 10 stars to Dr. Partnoff and his team I would. I am (or used to be!) one of those people that was terrified of the dentist. Mainly due to painful past experiences. A friend swore by Dr. Partnoff and I thought, well wth, let me give this guy a try, here goes nothing. Let me tell ya... BEST decision ever. He is kind and knowledgeable and has great bedside manner with those of us who need a little extra reassurance. My visits are always pain free and he gives the best advice and guidance for treatment plans. What I respect most, is that he is truly ETHICAL. Turns out I needed 2 molar implants that were more complex and I needed an oral surgeon to assist with that. Dr. Partnoff was honest with me and said he truly did not feel comfortable with the surgery as this was outside his area of expertise. He recommended someone from his network (Dr. Stephens) which I also loved. Dr. Partnoff would of course handle all crowns and everything outside the oral surgery. Even though I was sad he wouldn't be the Dr. handling my implants, I absolutely appreciated his honesty and the time he took to examine all areas or my surgery before coming to a decision - together. I feel like I found not only a doctor in him but a partner with the same common goals. I am now in the final stages of the implants and will be getting the crowns with him. I am confident the process will be easy and painless. Dr. Partnoff also fixed a tiny crack in a molar for me. Piece of cake. Zero pain. Did I mention his team? Melanie is a great hygienist. Always tender and takes her time as she too knows I still get a little nervous with dental visits. Rosemary is the best! At the height of COVID, I started to have severe tooth pain. I called around town and two other dentists told me that I need to be experiencing more pain before they could see me. I called Dr. Partinoff and in the height of quarantine, agreed to see me. Rosemarie, Olga and the doc made me feel very welcome in an extremity uneasy time. I had to have a tough root canal but the doc kept me well informed the entire time. He was very concerned with my pain and followed up with me to ensure there was no more pain. He also gave me plenty of Novocain to the point where I didn't feel a single thing. The entire team made sure that everything was throughly cleaned for me explaining the new regulations (I asked and was interested) and how they were implementing them. I am very grateful for Dr. Partinoff and team. They helped me when no one else would. In a time we are rushed in and out of doctors appointments, I knew I was genuinely cared for. I am writing to express my deep appreciation for the privilege of being a patient in Dr. Ryan Partnoff's Dental practice. I can't imagine a single patient ever leaving his office and not feeling the same compelling urge to write a thank-you note. There isn't a single detail about his practice that doesn't personify customer service. The staff in the clinic is professional, friendly and helpful. The waiting area is very welcoming and comfortable. Treatment rooms are serene and comfortable with large open windows that invite patients to look out onto the cheerful sunshine and the blue sky. And the equipment is state-of-the-art which gives patients a sense of confidence in his care. The most valuable asset of the practice is, by far, Dr. Partnoff and his staff. Everyone is kind, courteous and considerate. Rosie''s bright smile and warm 'hello' greets patients as we walk through the front door. And I especially appreciate that she is sensitive to the fact that I don't get around easily and she is always ready to assist without my even asking her to do so. Olga and Melanie are always friendly and attentive. They explain what the plans are for the visit in advance of the actual event and they always make sure I don't have any questions or concerns. Dr Partnoff and his staff are amazing!!!! They are all professional and friendly. I've had bad experiences with other dentist. So when I came to see Dr Partnoff I was nervous but he made me feel so comfortable right away. He made my teeth beautiful and my insurance covered most of the work. You check with Rosemary (who is usually at the front desk) to see if they take your insurance. She's the sweetest lady. I never had to wait, every visit was quick and painless. The office is located on a busy street in Pasadena. There is no parking lot but I always found street parking in front or across the street. I highly recommend him to everyone, both kids and adults. While on vacation in Pasadena I experienced an excruciating toothache that needed immediate attention. Dr Ryan Partnoff was able to squeeze me in for an initial evaluation. He was very friendly and kind as was his very competent staff. He did a great job in alleviating the pain and clearing up an infection. He followed this up with a root canal and rebuilt my tooth so that I could continue on my vacation and wait comfortably for the final necessary work when I returned home. When Dr. Berger and Dr. Grifka retired and sold their dental practice to Dr. Ryan Partnoff, we decided that if these 2 excellent dentists thought we'd be in good hands we could trust their judgment. That has certainly proven to be true. Not only is Dr. Partnoff a graduate of one of the top dental schools and a very skilled dentist, he also is a kind and caring person. I have a lot of enamel wear which makes my teeth very sensitive, so I'm grateful for Dr. Partnoff''s gentle touch. He always explains what he thinks should be done and why, and then lets me make whatever decision makes sense for me. For anyone who has been turned off by a pushy dentist trying to convince you that you need to spend thousands of dollars on dental work, Dr. Partnoff will be a refreshing change. My fiance doesn't write reviews on Yelp, but he wants me to add that he has total confidence in Dr. Partnoff having had some extensive dental work done by him during the past year. The reason I decided to log in and write this review is because of something that happened a few days ago. On the Thursday evening before Memorial Day weekend a big piece of bonding broke off a tooth that is very visible when I talk and/or smile. We had plans to get together with friends and I didn't want to wait till after the long weekend to get it fixed. Dr. Partnoff''s practice is usually closed on Fridays, so I called the emergency number hoping that someone would be covering for him that could fix my tooth. Dr. Partnoff called me back right away and said he'd meet me the next morning. When I arrived, he had his baby daughter with him, explaining that he had no back up day care, and she played quietly while he did the work without an assistant. Thanks to him I was able to enjoy the holiday weekend. I happen to know that Dr. Partnoff has also participated in health care forums where medical and dental care are provided to low income folks with no insurance. I'm not a wuss, I just didn't like going to the dentist. If all the poking, proding, and drilling wasn't enough to make me cry, the bill sure was. Luckily, my anti-dentist days are now over. I can't say that I rejoice in song and dance when I head into Dr. Partnoff's office, but I can say that I always leave with a smile. And isn't that the point of going to the dentist in the first place? To show off those pearly whites? So here are the reasons why Dr. Partnoff's office made me smile: 1. I got a $25 gift card to my place of choice. I picked target. I can get all life's essentials (like toilet paper and a new TV) there. 2. They translated all the insurance talk for me to make sure that I was covered. 3. The dentist is mighty cute.* Enough said. 4. They explained everything to me in non-dental terms and didn't push me to do anything unnecessary. 5. The office was so clean, I'd use my toothbrush even if it fell on the floor in here. No joke. 6. They have cool video glasses. 7. I didn't feel any pain. In fact, at one point I pinched myself just to check and see if my nerves were still alive. Don't worry. They were. 8. The office temperature was very pleasant. (I forgot a sweater that morning but was still super comfy.) 9. The front desk lady told me a funny joke. And it really made me LOL. Most gentle dentist I've ever had! I'll admit I'm a baby when it comes to numbing with Novocaine. Ever since I was a kid (many, many years ago) it's been the thing I feared most. But when I visit Dr. Partnoff, he's just so gentle I hardly notice the injection until its over! After that he works very quickly and efficiently, explaining things as he goes along. And if there's a new problem that's not urgent, he'll cautiously wait and see if it gets worse before he works on it, not like some dentists who can't wait to run up the costs. Great staff too. I recently I had a problem with a Prescription from Dr. Partnoff that was to be filled by my HMO Kaiser. Some way or another, the prescription was canceled by another Dr. and the runaround began. Thanks to Rosemary from Dr. Partnoff's office the problem was resolved. If not for a great deal of effort, a good number of telephone calls and determination from Rosemary, this would have been a horrible experience. I might know one person who actually enjoys going to the dentist, that person is not me, but thanks to Dr. Partnoff and the rest of his staff, I don't dread it...which is big for me. I've been going to this dental office since I was a kid and although I never looked forward to dental work, I always looked forward to seeing the previous dentist, Dr. Grifka and his wonderful staff. Every visit was like a mini family reunion. Dr. Grifka entrusted Dr. Partnoff to fill his shoes, and he absolutely has. I look forward to seeing everyone at the office and even enjoy their reminder phone calls. They are all so genuine, friendly and helpful. Dr. Partnoff is kind, knowledgeable, trustworthy and gentle and really takes time to explain procedures and options. The office is nice, small, clean and they have awesome video glasses with a decent selection of movies to distract you from the drilling if you should need a cavity filled. At the risk of sounding like a "copycat" reviewer, I want to add my praise to Dr. Partnoff and his staff for coming through for me when I needed help! I was a patient of the wonderful Dr. Grifka and worried that I might have to go elsewhere when he retired. He "gifted" us with a very talented and professional dentist whose skills belie his youth. Dr. Partnoff always manages to squeeze me into his schedule when an emergency arises and always takes the time to explain whatever procedures and/or treatments will be needed. Today I went in to have a crown reset. He got me in on short notice, took care of the problem and even helped with the insurance costs. I don't think I received any "special treatment".
